We are riding a motorcycle from Richmond, Virginia to Vancouver, BC and Devil's Tower was on the route. Along the journey, lunch was calling so we popped into The Diamond Bar at Devil's Tower. It's not actually AT Devils Tower, but close enough. What a surprise! The restaurant has the look and feel of a mountain lodge...very homey and comfy. First and foremost....our waitress, Kayla. I hope I've remembered her name! Or was it Krista? She was a joy! Super friendly and efficient, it was such a pleasure meeting her. The Bourbon Burger was the BEST! Juicy, bursting with flavor and cooked just right, I definitely made the right choice. My husband has the BLT, left no crumbs! Upstairs you can find postcards, tee-shirts, magnets...all sorts of Wyoming stuff. I had fun poking around. So yea...if you are taking the trip to see Devils Tower, pull into The Diamond to have a tasty meal along the way. read more

Excellent service. Beautiful venue. (They were installing a cement patio at the time and the noise was intense but we decided to give them a pass on this.) Chicken fried steak was ok, average, but the sides were delicious and the portions were huge. Expensive- to be expected for the location of course. Visiting Spearfish South Dakota and came across this place and on Yelp. The drive to Wyoming wasn't too bad. We went during the Sturgis festival so bikers were everywhere. Tons of motorcycles were parked out front and it was a little intimidating but once inside the staff was so nice to us. I know we stuck out like sore thumbs LOL. We didn't have reservations. There is a gift shop upstairs, and a patio outside. You can walk along the property outside to see the Devils Gulch which I highly recommend. Absolutely gorgeous! Read up on some of the folklore. This is where Close Encounters was filmed and I'm old enough to remember! Food: They had a pre selected menu due to the Sturgis crowd so we got a cheeseburger and a chicken sandwich & cookies. This place is a true gem. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. The food is amazing! We had the Bourbon Burger and the Steak Tip Salad. The burger was flavorful and the waffle fries were nice and crispy. The steak tips were cooked perfectly and very tender. The house made blue cheese dressing was exceptional. Had the most amazing grass-fed bacon cheeseburger ever, served by the nicest people! The owner raises their own beef cattle on their ranch. This place is the worst. We stopped here for coffee however didn't go in we a sign said dogs are not allowed. When we walked in we almost had to beg for coffee. When I asked for wifi as there's no phone signal Around I was told the computer system is on the wifi so it can't be used by others - this lady has no clue about how wifi works then obviously. We admittedly arrived after the lunch crowd (and after climbing the tower‍) and were welcomed with a smile...as well as some history on the recent transition of ownership. A local family purchased the restaurant and looking to prevent chain hotels from moving in. The Saddle Bronc Brown Ale is delicious. I'm a vegetarian so can't comment on the meat sandwiches but apparently the Campstool Ranch Burger is from the local cattle and the bison burger is raised within 100 miles. read more

Local beef and Bison. My campstool burger was great - didn't need all the other trimmings to make it great, just good med-rare burger, lettuce, tomato, onion. My son had the other burger with bourbon sauce and loved it. Waffle fries were soso, I would maybe get a different side. Seems like a place where locals and regulars come. Some nice deer, elk and Bison mounts on the walls. Has a nice feels to it. Stayed nearby for a few days and the staff every day was efficient, fast, friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Best place to get an ice cream cone for 25 miles. Reasonable gift shop upstairs. read more

I stopped for dinner after watching the sunset at Devil's Tower National Monument. The building's log cabin style was cozy. The Upper level contains the gift shop where I chose a mug and a variety of stickers and magnets. I ordered the bison burger which was served quickly and was delicious! We stopped here on our way into Devil's Tower. It was such a nice place for lunch, especially after a long drive! We tried to sit on the patio, but someone sat at the table next to us and started smoking, so we moved inside. We ordered deep fried macaroni and cheese, and it was good. It tasted like Kraft mac and cheese, and I am not sure how they deep fried it, but it was quite the comfort food. Our burgers came, and they were big- 1/3 pound. Two of us got bison cheeseburgers, one of us got a bacon cheeseburger, and one of us got a chicken sandwich. It was all really good. The fries were decent, and the onion rings were very good. Ketchup and mustard were on the table, and the waitress brought us barbecue sauce when we asked for it. Service was good, ambience was awesome. I would go back next time I am in the area. read more

Came to see Devils Tower and found this nice place to eat right near the entrance. Sit where you want and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. We both had the New York Steak. I had a loaded baked potato (butter, sour cream, bacon, and sautéed yellow onions) and my wife had the fried. Meals also came with a salad and homemade loaf of bread. The best part of the meal for me was the praline pecan butter they served with the bread. Give me a shovel and slap me happy!! That stuff is awesome! Grace was a sweetheart and was willing to answer our questions. My husband had the bison burger and I had a chicken sandwich. The onion rings were great with a special sauce. We requested outside dining not knowing they didn't want glassware out there. The entire outdoors could be refurbished with new picnic tables, well-watered flowers and refinished decking.
