I drove almost two hours for a drive-in and I wasn't disappointed. It's sad that we've lost all our drive-ins, which are an American staple of yesteryear. I grew up in Portland, which had many, and even a three screen one. I went frequently from childhood to my younger adulthood. Now the closest are Newberg, OR, Shelton and Bremerton, WA. You get to ride a ferry, experience a lil nostalgia from my childhood and when my parents would take me when I was little and now I'm taking my daughter to the drive in theatre to make amazing memories like my parents did with me. Adorable and absolutely obsessed. I had no idea what to expect. The shows are pretty late because they have to wait until it gets dark. Arrive and 9:30pm and show starts by 10:30pm. There are 3 screens playing simultaneously, but sound is on your own radio, so you don't get a lot of noise from the other screens. They have concession stands and REAL BATHROOMS (I was surprised for an outdoor venue). We only stayed for 1 movie but all of them are double-features, which seems like a good value. Concessions were also reasonably priced. Just don't plan to get much sleep, because you'll be there LATE! Good clean fun, though! read more

It's been years since I've been to a drive-in, and my fiancé insisted we come here for a date night before they close for the off season. We had such a good time! Tickets are extremely affordable. For two new release movies, you only pay $12 per adult. Insane! We saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, followed by Trap. Both movies were fantastic. The screen was great, had no issues being able to see. We made sure to get there early and park in a desired spot. They give you instructions on what to set your radio station to and the audio is played through your car, so no issues being able to hear either. They have concessions here and sell stuff like pizzas, mozzarella sticks, popcorn, etc. but we decided to have a car picnic and bring our own stuff. I have a three row SUV, so we folded down two rows of seats with a bunch of blankets and watched from the trunk with some sandwiches and snacks. It was so fun! It's also very family-friendly. The field we were on (I believe was field one) had a playground directly underneath the movie screen so that kids could play before/during the movie with parents being able to watch easily. Kids were swinging pretty much the whole time and it wasn't a distraction at all so it's fun for everyone. Alright excited to come back next summer. Highly recommend! read more

Let me first say this was our second time to this theater. Once in screen one which does have the middle fenced in. The first time we were asked to move. Not a big deal. The second time was last night at screen 3 and everything went great. The staff was very nice and polite. Joking around with us. My Husband and I came to watch Godzilla v Kong with The Beekeeper. Both movies were great but the Beekeeper was the best. We went to the snack bar because I already knew I was getting popcorn. That's one of the main reasons I go. We demolished the larger popcorn. I'm not a big fan of paper bags for popcorn so we usually get the tub with lots of salt and butter. We also decided to split a personal pizza. It wasn't good at all. Tasted like it just came out of the freezer. With 4-slices you got one pepperoni for each slice. We won't be getting the pizza again. Not sure about the larger pizza. We had so much fun going to this drive-in last night. The playground was super fun for the kids, and a nice way to use the time while waiting for the movie (we parked at 7:30ish and movie started at 9:45ish). The atmosphere reminded me of camping- fresh air, dirt road to park on, music on folks radios until the movies started, and everyone looking happy. My favorite part was the gluten-free pizza. They must have a full kitchen running because I got what tasted like a home-cooked meal- it was one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had. If it wasn't weird, I'd go there just to eat lol. Also, we got there early, (about 6pm, and they didn't open until 7:30pm), so I avoided the lines, which ended up being huge due to how many people were there. Be prepared to wait for the food since they are at least cooking most of it- it's not fast food. I highly recommend! read more

I'm a newbie when it comes to Drive-in Theaters, as this pastime is sadly not feasible for those sweltering Texas summers. Staying in nearby Gig Harbor, this was a short drive away and I couldn't help myself - I had to try it. All my expectations were met or exceeded, if I lived nearby this would be my go-to weekend spot. First, they show actual, new release movies in a DOUBLE FEATURE. How cool is that?!? We saw Minions: Rise of Gru and Thor Love & Thunder BOTH in the same night, from the comfort of my truck, free to chew popcorn and laugh loudly. During the long, cold winters in Alaska, going to the movie theatre became our typical night out, but this was so much more fun. We arrived about 45 minutes to an hour before showtime and there was already a line of cars - for which I was thankful, as I had no idea what I was doing, so having some folks to follow was very helpful. We had purchased tickets online, so all we had to do was present our QR code and they printed us a ticket. The gate attendant was also very helpful, highlighting the parking options for trucks and making sure we understood. Another surprise was that we could bring in food & drinks - I wasn't expecting this, and we had already decided to try the concessions for the full experience, but it was really nice to know. We parked in the appointed "truck/SUV/van" rows in the back, instead of the front two (also designated), mainly because I didn't want to crank my neck up to the show. Had we backed in the truck and thrown some pillows down (as I saw others doing), that front row would have been perfect. We had a straight shot to the screen, tuned our radio to the appropriate station, and I was impressed how well the audio coordinated as well as how clear the video was on the projection. This was a drive-in, and granted my expectations were low, but I was expecting a blurry, grainy video with a 1-2 second audio delay and that simply wasn't the case at all. There was playground equipment near the front, and you could see happy families settling in all around with picnics, blankets, and kids running off to the swings. It was about as 1950's picturesque as you can get these days. We strolled over to concessions and ordered popcorn, a giant pretzel with cheese, and a chicken tender basket. We were given a buzzer for the basket, but I swear it went off as soon as we had walked back to the truck - hot & ready in no time! I was pretty surprised at how tasty the chicken tenders were (again, low expectations from a movie concession stand), with crispy waffle fries and a side of barbecue sauce - all were gobbled up while they were piping hot. The popcorn was standard, movie theatre fare, maybe a little too salty for my taste, but freshly popped and covered in hot butter. Then starts the movie! I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive about my battery dying but we started up the truck in between the shows and ran it for like 4-5 minutes, and we had no problem at all even after a double feature. I only wish I knew how to turn off the video screen inside the cab when the key is still in the ignition - something to investigate for next time. Love this place and am so grateful to have the luxury of a real drive-in theatre. My first experience was trying to buy a ticket online and it wasn't working. I thought it was just me but I reached out to the theater on Facebook messenger and they replied so quickly thanking me for alerting them to the issue. Within about 10 minutes it was fully resolved and I was able to purchase my tickets online. What's even better about this theater is that they show first run movies and, of course, like the traditional drive-ins everything is a double feature. Really friendly staff and I love the dog friendly policy. In fact, when I drove through the box office and showed my online ticket purchase the woman noticed my dog and immediately offered me two big dog treats for him. So sweet. It wasn't very crowded when I was there over the summer but I hope it was just a fluke. I'd hate for this place to go out of business. So fun and nostalgic! read more

I have been coming here for almost 20 years. Today was the first time I have ever had an interaction with the staff. After being horrified by the aggressive behavior towards a child by a staff member, I spoke with the owner whose demeanor and professionalism was almost as bad and if anything seemed to support the behavior. I'm not sure I will ever view this location with the same warm and fuzzies knowing just how terrible the people who work there really are. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday for my first drive-in movie experience! I actually didn't expect too much but it exceeded expectations. The field, the screen quality, the audio quality, everything was perfect. If it wasn't for quarantine, I probably would've never thought of going but I'm so glad I did! Even if the world went back to normal, I would definitely keep coming here if they updated their movies frequently. Gate opens a couple hrs before sun-down which is when the show will begin, but you honestly don't have to come too early for a good view since the space is pretty big. There are 3 screens, each with a different double feature.. & for the price at $10 per person, this is pretty amazing pricing! You can leave after the first movie if you don't want to stay too long which some people do, but I stayed for both (the intermission is only about 5 minutes between screenings). My only wish is that we had a better car to watch from; saw some people with trucks & mattresses, meanwhile the car we came had a dirty windshield with streaks, so you can say I was hating haha. The double feature was only $10 and a large chocolate popcorn + large Coke was around that price too. It was a steal compared to a regular movie theater that you sit in. We went on a Sunday and wasn't sure how busy it was going to be but the drive in was spacious and the line for checkin and tickets were very efficient. Parking was great. Watched 2 premier movies back to back for $10, great deal! My only note is to make sure you have a working car radio or phone that will support their fm station! We didn't want to have our car running with the stereo on so we were trying to use a radio app on our phones but the app that they recommend on their website is NOT available for iPhones! Feeling so lucky to have access to this gem so close to home. Drive-in theaters are far and few between these days and a Saturday summer night at the drive-in makes you feel like a kid again. Rumors have long buzzed that this location would close but after a recent upgrade to digital the owners say they will be open for years to come. Rest assured Rodeo Drive-In is a staple for Kitsap County entertainment. They offer 3 screening options of most major releases catering to mostly family flicks and movies start at dusk, just after 9pm during the summer. Attendants do their best to direct traffic for the best viewing of all patrons and to maximize space but they get a little lazy closer to dusk which means you're still going to occasionally have that truck or hatchback pull up in front of you. Not the end of the world though as there's not a bad seat in the house. We bring lawn chairs, blankets, a cooler with drinks and our own snacks to save money. The snack bar has plenty to offer but can be pricey for larger groups and the lines are crazy busy with the buzz of kids on summer vacation. Free refills on popcorn but not on soda and they do accept all major credit cards. At $9.75 for adults you're getting a double feature for 5 bucks a movie and while prices seem to continue to rise this is still a great value offering a unique and timeless experience regardless of age. So what are you waiting for? Hit the dollar store for snacks, pack up the kids and lots of blankets, wear your pajamas and enjoy the show! read more

Decided to have a little getaway from the city, Seattle rarely has any drive-in movies so this definitely caught my eye. I bought my ticket online for Jungle Cruise, I did get to the line 30 minutes early and there was still a line so do go early! You don't need to buy tickets online but do everyone a favor and have it ready to scan on your phone otherwise everyone is literally stuck in line trying do to get every single transaction up at the front: There are two screens that you can choose from once you get in. Food court/bathrooms are centered in the field, food does take a while if it isn't popcorn so get there early if you can. Chicken strips with fries wasn't bad honestly. Overall, I thought the experience was really fun, I liked that you don't have to sit outside if you don't want to, you can hear it perfectly well on the radio in the car. People do bring foldable chairs and blankets, but you're not allow to bbq or cook anything inside. I would definitely go again! read more

It was kind of awkward because my boyfriend was the only black person there and he didn't want me walking to the bathroom alone because there was suspicious looking men. My daughter and her two friends, which are college students went to the theater this evening to watch some Disney shows. They purchased three adult tickets that said re-entry proof on the ticket. They realize they were almost out of gas so they quickly left refueled and came back with plenty of time before the movie. Upon trying to drive back in they change the rules and said you can pay all over again or back up and leave being extremely rude like so many of the other negative reviews say. I then called and left a voicemail because my daughter is very non-confrontational. I am going to be dealing with the bank tomorrow for a refund on that end and taking it to every social media platform I can find. This should be a positive attraction in our neighborhood. I know so many families support it but the customer service seems terrible and they don't really care because they don't respond to their negative reviews. Nowhere does it say and no one told them that you can't go out and get gas and come back. What the heck is the point of a reentry ticket? Anyway, will never give them a business again and will make sure that our local community, friends and neighbors know about their shady business dealings. Too bad it could be a super cool Attribute.
