Despite this theater being a couple of blocks from downtown Bainbridge Island, I hadn't been there until today. It's an older theater, and it's feeling its age a little bit. The seats are not very comfortable, and the backs don't really recline. Popcorn was fresh, and it was nice to show up 15 minutes before the opening night of a movie without having to deal with throngs. Staff was very friendly and fast. Bainbridge is a small town. The Pavillion Theater is a small-town theater. It is really convenient, and I'll definitely come back again. read more

Bathrooms absolutely filthy. The facility is really run down. Needs a thorough cleaning.

Staff is friendly and welcoming. But the theatres are dirty, bathrooms are filthy --all that would be required is sponging with a little bleach on the doors and floors--and seats uncomfortable. read more

We went see a early showing of DOG on Friday 3/4/22. Employees were nice and the theater was clean. HOWEVER the employees left the doors open (and blocked) for our theater and the adjacent theater. The movie next door was quite loud. And that sound wrecked our viewing of the movie we were there to see. I don't look forward to going back. Streaming is so much easier and much more pleasant. read more

The Fletcher Bay theater screen has a VERY distracting tear in the screen. After $50 date night for two the screen ruined the evening. Get a new screen and close that theater until it is replaced. If we knew about the screen in advance we would have gone to a different movie without visual distractions. read more

I have to agree that the folks working here aren't super friendly or helpful. But, it's a small theatre, in a small town, and you can get a club soda any size for 50 cents and the popcorn was pretty good. I do like the 'butter it yourself' option, and they have all sorts of popcorn seasonings available to self serve, so I can put what I want on my popcorn. Also, while the movie theaters themselves are small, the screen is fine and they weren't full the day I went. Would I come to this Cinema from Seattle, no, would I drive from Poulsbo or Silverdale, no. But, if you live on the island, it's super convenient and as most small town things, the more you go, probably the friendlier the experience gets. read more

Not really sure how you can have such bad service at a movie theater. This place must be the easiest place to just 'walk in' without paying, that I have ever experienced. Kids standing around behind the counter that seem bothered to help you.....might as well just walk in. I have been here 12 times in the last year (kind of a movie a month thing) and have had my ticket taken 3 times. The rest of the time, the 'employees' are busy discussing the finer attributes of being in high school. Regardless, I give them 2 stars because the owner was quick to respond to a complaint. read more

I've been coming to this movie theater for years. It's a small town theater folks. Yes, it's staffed by highschool students, but who else will they get to work there? The popcorn is good and fresh, it has a decent selection of new movies (they may change slower than other theaters but then I have more of a chance to see them!) and I love that we have access to a movie theater so close on BI. read more

We walk to this theater on a regular basis and really enjoy the small town feel of it. Extra awesome fun fact - you can put the butter on the popcorn yourself or grab a cup and take the butter with you to your seat! Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. read more

Nice movie theater. The seats are comfortable and well tiered for viewing. The staff are nice. I like the butter your own popcorn and all the seasonings are available to add. We went to two movies, they hadn't cleaned the theater between shows. read more

Uncomfortable seats. Today the theater was cold. The movie that we were waiting to see had a problem starting after the previews. Then halfway through the film video was lost. They announced that the weather caused a problem with the projector. They restarted it and the movie started after apx 15 minutes. Then after another few minutes the video again stopped. The owners have so under staffed this theater that they had no one to take tickets. We had to wait in line with dozens ordering food to get our tickets. It took forever. Maybe it's a ploy to get you to buy food on impulse. In any case it's service that says "we just don't care." The screen had 3 defects that were distracting. This place will be our last choice for movies. read more

They have very few offerings of the latest movies, and they do not change for weeks!!!! There are so many good movies out now but very few on Bainbridge Island. Everyone I know off Bainbridge has seen the new movies of this season. Bainbridge Cinemas get none of these. read more

I LOVE older and local theaters. The service was very friendly. The audio and video quality was very good! The carpets in the auditorium look like they haven't been cleaned since opening, but that almost adds to the charm so I'm not dinging them for that. Great way to spend a couple hours on the island! read more

While I don't know if it is worth taking a ferry over here from Seattle to catch a movie at this theater, it was a very pleasant surprise. Easy parking, self-serve popcorn "butter" and as mentioned by Zun...a huge assortment of powdered flavors with which to douse your popcorn (I took a pass on that business). The seating is quite nice...well spaced and tiered for quality viewing. My only complaint is the seat partitions/cup-holders don't move, making for less than perfect mid-movie flirtations. read more

Decided to go catch Fantastic Mr. Fox here after hitting the casino out here and I was pretty happy with the service here. It's not hard to be a good movie cinema. Good employees, good snacks, and fountain sodas. I thought the tickets were pricey at 9.50 a ticket. What brings this down a star is no 3D support and no VIP area. Sorry but as these things catch on it's going to become more and more vital that these things exist to draw in customers. read more

I went there last night for the first time to see the Descendants. The theater has a really nice feel to it. The seats are comfortable and screen is a nice size. It doesn't have as much of the manufactured/cookie cutter feel as some of the bigger theaters in the area. I really enjoy the popcorn! It's fresh and warm and seems healthier than other movie theater popcorn. You can customize to your preferred flavors (jalapeno and white cheddar, FTW). It's great, especially if you live on the island or have limited ability to travel to Seattle. I am really looking forward to seeing another movie here. read more

Okay, so i have had some amazing experiences here, so don't think i usually hate like this place, because in fact it is quite nice and unique but this time was awful. First off, the ticket prices are CRAZY!! $8.00 for a matinee?? Really? I went to see the Amazing Spider-man, and i was super excited. When i got inside the theater, it was kind of nice. (reclining seats, soft and comfy) but it was hard to see over the other chairs. When the previews started (i enjoy watching these) it kept on stopping in the middle of them and going to a black screen. On top of that, the movie and previews were too big for the screen and a 1/4 of each side was leaking out of the screen and showing on the sides where the curtains are. My friend went to tell the employee, but they said they couldn't close the curtain because they were "broken." Finally the weird preview occurrences stopped, and the movie began. 30 minutes into the movie, the climax of this crazy experience greeted me ;/ All of a sudden, these ads popped up in the middle of the movie!!! First, the movie would stop and the add would play, then the movie would play with no sound except for the ads!!!! The whole thing was broken and totally messed up my day. We were one of the only ones in the movie theater but still, come on, quality control!!! I didn't pay $8 for a movie experience like this!! It's like watching the preview to the movie. The worst part was that we were right when the climax was starting. :( Then, I notified an employee. All she said was "Oh, yeah...we know its broken." Are you kidding me?!? She also said she would give us a refund for our ticket, but still, that is ABSURD!!!! Our "refund" was a ticket to ONLY the amazing spider-man and also we were ONLY allowed to see a matinee!!! Worst experience ever. In fact I'm calling them in a second to give them a piece of my mind ;) Although, I actually do recommend this place to a friend because i have had some great times here and it is a cute and homey theater. :) BTW, sorry if i sound harsh, I'm just irritated with my recent experience. :/ read more

Thank goodness for this theater! What would happen if they ever had to close?! I loved the place that we had in Lynwood when I was young - and still do... But I'm happy that you guys offer other timely and popular movies. And I like your Opera stuff! Please keep it up. read more

Twice in the same week I ended up sitting in a dark theatre for 15 minutes after the movie's start time waiting for anything to appear on the screen. Complained of course but staff seemed to treat it as normal. My advice is to go to Poulsbo where the seats are more comfortable and the movies start on time. read more

This is a great little local Cinema, with 6 screens. They show a range of blockbusters and Art films, with special events for Opera, Ballet and Indie pro films. The content changes frequently, every 2 weeks unless the film is a raving success, like Micheal Moore's work or the latest Star Wars. The folk are very friendly which adds to the evening out on the island experience. They have annual passes - which are great value. Their consignments range from popcorn and dogs to designer chocolate - what more can you ask for from a local cinema. I read more
