One of the cleaning lady's stole my mom's brand new perfume (Mother's Day gift). My mom checked out on 5/10/26 and accidentally left her new box of perfume on the coffee table. She remembered exactly where she left it and returned 20 minutes after she left. The rooms door was still open but was already cleaned out/sheets changed, but the perfume box was gone. There was only one other person who went in there within those 20 minutes... The cleaning lady tried to avoid being seen when my mom came looking to ask her, and the manager just refused to believe the cleaning lady would possibly take it. read more

I've been to several rodeway inns and this is hands down the worst location. The first thing i noticed is that they try to cheat you out of money (they'll change the price daily or only on weekends if you stay long enough) all the beaner maids are terrible except for one (the prettiest one ironically) these btches are r@cist af. They skipped my room daily smh. The Indian boy in the front that I caught outside succckin c0ckadoo on the side of the office has a terrible racist attitude also. Due to the maids not coming daily I started seeing bugs in the room, from roaches to crickets (my boyfriend handled it) I started taking pictures of everything that has been going on and have a few recordings for court. Also, at night it's terribly loud, it's alot of drug lords using these rooms and prostitutes are in and out, clicking those annoying heels alll night making noise. People constantly are fighting and in the parking lot like lot lizards. This is 100% the worstttt location I've ever been too, would've thought it was better becuz the neighborhood but i have been tricked out of extra money and peace due to these people. read more

I needed a place to stay a couple of weeks ago and this place had decent reviews so I thought that I would give it a try. This was a mistake. I was not acknowledged as a diamond rewards member nor was I given my gift upon check-in. The front desk person basically told me that this location was low end and they did not do that. I should have known not to stay there then but, it was too late to go elsewhere. So, I went to the room and the bedding was damaged, the phone did not work, all of the towels were dirty, and there were dead bugs in the shower area. When I went to the front desk to tell the man, he did not apologize and told me that he would bring some towels in about 15 minutes. When he finally brought them, well after 15 minutes, I inquired about the phone and asked if he could place a working phone in the room. He kept telling me just to use my cellphone. I told him that I should not have to use my phone and that there should be a working phone in the room. Eventually, he went to get another phone and came back after nearly another 20 minutes. He tried to get the phone connected and then told me that the problem is not the phone but the connection in the wall and that he would have to take apart the wall to try and fix it, so it would have to be fixed the next day. I just touched out the night because it was too late to try and go somewhere else. The next morning I checked out and called the corporate office to complain. But, it was a waste of time because the corporate office did not care that I wasted my points to stay at this lousy place. So, since my money and points are of no concern to Choice Hotels, I will not be spending my money staying at their hotels again. I will take my money and business elsewhere. There are plenty of much better hotels around. I only stayed there because I had enough points accumulated and I could use my points for the stay. Do yourself a favor and learn from my experience. Do not stay here or with any Choice Hotel location! read more

Let me start off by saying Alex was amazing and whoever tf was after him was great too. I was late to check out because I saw a roach in my room and wanted to sift through all my bags, so I wanted to elaborate on that and the front desk started speaking about how people will use excuses to get their deposit back and asked why I didn't take a photo for proof, my first instinct was to kill it, my bad I guess? I figured id call front desk from the room phone but when I dialed the operator #, it stated the extension didn't exist so since I was already late, I figured I'd make sure I get tf out and sit around trying to call if I'm heading to the office anyways. I am now banned from this motel because I wanted to warn them about the roaches in their rooms. It's funny cause he said he NEVER received complaints about bugs and looking at the other reviews, I now see most the bad reviews are for some type of bug in the room. Banned for warning about roaches is gonna be a good storytime but Alex was cool as hell. I do have the photos of the burn marks and etc in my non-smoking room read more

I'm a regular at Rodeway Inn $ Suites but this was my first time at the location in Bellflower Ca. The first night was a brief stay as I was in and out due to commitments. The second day and night was treacherous my immediate neighbor literally was trying to kill his female companion. They were throwing things against the wall, fighting and cursing at each other. Front Desk was not available by phone or at the desk. It went on for 1am until 4:30am. After hearing her choking and crying for help I had to call the police. I had to go in my call to get some sleep. During checking I explained what happened during the night and they had no clue what happened that night. So I asked what they could do for me a discount or anything and of course the answer was only a 25% off on my next stay. This is totally unacceptable ... The rooms are not that great and their employees are rude also watch out for surprise charges on your Credit Card they will charge you an extra $100 Deposit Plus Room Price on your stay. They said that I was smoking in the room which is not true and Charged me extra $50.00 Dollars and Kept my deposit of a $100 dollars too.. This place is rediculous don't ever EVER... think you're going to splurge and get the "suite". I have stayed her twice before and it's a simple hotel. Decent rooms. So I figured I'm going to splurge and get a suite this time. BIG mistake the suite is LITERALLY a regular room actually worse than a regular room. Smaller bathroom and a 2 seater mini couch instead of a table to sit at. The room smelled horrible AND... there were cigarette burns on the comforter. Oh and the best part is I called for a price using AAA and when I came to get the room it cost $3.00 MORE than the regular rate. read more

EXCELLENT!!! This little gem here between Bellflower and Santa Fe Springs! I would stay here anytime their suites have a Jacuzzi and their King bed rooms are Royalty. One of the worst experiences ever had. Came to this hotel looking for shelter after my house burnt down an electrical fire. I attempt to pay with a red cross credit card given to me for hotel and food. They refused to take the card calling it a gift card. I decided to use my regular bank card because I just had enough to pay for it I tell him I have 2 kids with me and my wife and for a nice room. I come into a room with a cigarette burn on the mattress. I go in to take a shower and I see mildew and mold on the shower head. I overlooked that as well. I paid $100 for one night thinking there's a continental breakfast. I come down to see very lil options so after I pour my sons cereal I make my own and come to find out the the milk is rotten. by the time I found out the milk is rotten my son was halfway through his bowl of cereal. Hopefully he doesn't get food poisoning. read more

This one-star review is inspired by the employee who was responsible for check-ins when I stayed here, and this review and rating accurately reflects the service you should expect from him. His name is Vinod. He prefers to speak to you from behind a plexiglass window, seated at a lower height and far away so its difficult to communicate. But don't worry, he won't care. I had a really rough time with him, and I hope we don't meet again. I was very frustrated with his management as well. I spoke with his surpervisor the next morning, and his supervisor was not afraid to paint him as an employee who is acting out and being unprofessional, but the supervisor never once took responsibility and actually made the situation better. He has the power to hire a better candidate, but chooses not to. The hotel itself has been recently renovated from the looks of it. It's all small-scale upgrades with decor and a flat screen TV, but it helps make the motel seem friendlier as it is located in a rough area. Keep your doors double locked to be safe, and don't expect much from their complimentary breakfast in the morning. It is the bare minimum I've seen a motel do for breakfast. The employees here do not care whatsoever about the people staying here. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out because we just wanted to get away. We were more stressed here than at home. While we were trying to relax in the room, one of the employees started POWER WASHING the door to our room. It was loud and annoying. On top of that, the water started to leak in to the room. I called the front desk to complain and the receptionist did not care. I voiced my complaint and they said "Well we are washing the whole floor" That is great that you decided to clean, but how about clean when there is not a guest staying in the room? The receptionist said they will send a maid now to clean the room, but I told them that it was water and I put a towel down. Then the receptionist repeated themselves and hung up on me. NEVER staying here again. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing hotel, do NOT stay here. read more

Do not book here. Manager is a thief. We had a reservation for the 7th and we were assured they wouldn't run the card till we checked in. They went ahead and ran the card on the 6th and Chase saw the transaction as a red flag being that we live in Sacramento and the booking transaction was happening at bellflower LA. Well dugh... we were still in Sacramento at the time they were running the card and so of course the bank would see it as fraudulent activity. So now we have to find another place to stay for the night and I have 3 kids here with me. read more

We stayed at the Rodeway for a wedding. We arrived just after check-in time to find a note on the door saying they would be back in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, someone finally arrived. The room was okay, albeit a little dirty (I removed stains from the door jamb in the bathroom with a disinfectant wipe and the walls were all dirty). When I was doing my hair for the wedding, I used the in-room hair dryer. It sounded funny, so I moved it away from my hair (thank goodness) to look at it, when sparks came shooting out of it, it smoked and died. My husband went to the office to get another dryer. They said they would bring one. They never did. The next morning, my husband went back to the office and spoke to someone different. They weren't at all concerned and made no effort to procure a dryer. We reiterated the story of the flaming dryer when we checked out. Again, no concern whatsoever. read more

First time stay in this hotel, surprising my girlfriend for her birthday. it's very nice! I got a non-smoking King Size Jacuzzi room. It's great I like it.. It's worth your money.. We really enjoyed ourselves at the Rodeway Inn & Suites. Jay- the General Manager is awesome and very friendly. Also the lady that sometimes works in the front was very helpful when we needed more towels. We got the room with the HUGE jacuzzi. Sometimes it's nice to just get away from the kids and go somewhere to relax away from home and this place is comfortable and clean. The beds are comfortable and soft. The TV had great channels to watch movies. And they had a dining table, fridge and microwave. Only bad thing, We were in a non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke, but what can you do when people don't follow directions? Overall great service and clean. Stayed in room #220 for three nights between 7/15 - 7/17/17. Parking was easy to find. Noticed quite a few security cameras in operation. The room was very clean and presentable. The two queen beds were comfy. Window A/C worked well. Mini fridge and microwave were a plus. Bathroom vanity and shower was updated clean. Maid service was on point. Friendly staff all around. Beware! The managers here are creeps! I had a reservation through Hotels.com. I wanted to change to another Rodeway Inn, as it was closer to where I needed to be so I could walk to the event. The hotel management agreed with the Hotels.com folks not to charge and would let me cancel, as i was moving to another Rodeway Inn. Well, guess what? I just saw they charged the full amount anyway!! Hotels.com called them and asked what happened. They said they "changed their mind" and were going to charge anyway! I can't even believe it! I have never had such a thing happen like this! What a bunch of creeps to go back on their word like that! I have Elite status at many other Hotel chains as I travel around the world. I was only going to stay here because everything else was booked in the area, but I will NEVER stay at another Rodeway again!! In defense of Hotels.com, this was NOT their fault! They were really great and gave me a credit for the full amount. So I appreciate that they did that. They have always taken good care of me and the service has been great. read more

A satisfactory-acceptable choice for the budget-minded traveler. I stayed 2 nights here while on vacation to see the Getty Museum. Bellflower (the city) is a blue-collar, primarily Hispanic community with much cheaper lodging and occupancy taxes than many of the surrounding areas. The Inn is run by a Middle Eastern family who I found cordial and efficient. Very basic complimentary breakfast is included in the morning. But there's a Mexican restaurant on every corner seemingly and several other reasonably priced dining options closeby. No swimming pool. It's favorably located near LAX and most points of interest in metro L.A. My bed was very comfy and no bugs were found. If assigned to a lower level room, you will def. hear most movements of your upstairs neighbors. Pop in the earplugs if you're a light sleeper. They also have a few nice-looking jacuzzi suites if you're looking to "budget splurge." Unarmed security guard patrols at night. Overall fair deal IF you keep your expectations in check. As I've said many times before, "It's not the Ritz," but you're not paying Ritz prices either. read more

Stay far far away from this establishment. We booked 2 nights, New years eve and the next night on Booking.com for a guest of ours on Booking.com. When she arrived for check in they refused to honor the paid reservation. Evidently they had gotten busy and only had a half a dozen rooms left so the almost doubled the price. After 90 minutes of go arounds between Booking, the owner and the clerk it was finally decided that we had to pay an addition $134 on top of the money we had paid for the original reservation. Booking refunded the $134 to us after a few weeks. Then on top of that, they tried to kick her out the next morning yet again. The guy was the epitome of every dive hotel desk clerk from every movie ever made. Finally after several arguments, his co worker must have shown him how to interpret a reservation screen on there computer and he ent away. There was another guest in the same predicament as us the same evening. I am not sure how she fared. In my eyes $$ mean a complete lack of integrity with this establishment. You are taking a chance booking with them. If the get busy they will not honor your paid reservation, so you are taking a serious risk that your room will not be there when you arrive read more

I've been staying here for a little while waiting for my apartment to get renovated... the staff here is amazing especially Aarkit... he is very helpful and friendly and has such a welcoming demeanor... I had a small issue last nite and called Aarkit and he took care of it quickly... The rooms are huge and come with a microwave and mini fridge... always ample parking and security on duty... I will definitely be coming back!!! Great job Aarkit... this man deserves a raise!!! People like him are definitely wat we need!!! read more

I'm an Elite Platinum member at Choice Hotels and was staying here because I just moved to California from out of state and was looking to save a little cash. I should have just payed the extra 15 bucks a night and stayed away. My first morning I want to take a shower and there aren't any towels. I go to the front office to get one and the guy is asleep (okay whatever, long night). I ask him for one and he says he'll go to the laundry and get one. 20 minutes later and he hasn't came to my room yet so I go to the office and what do you know...he is sleeping AGAIN. Then he says they are dirty, so I have to go down to street and buy some. Then they have two clerks in there telling me two different things and their boss telling them another when I was talking about paying for my stay. The manager, Jay Patal, is an inconsiderate jerk/joke. He acts like this is the Ritz. They don't serve breakfast until 8AM, I mean what business traveler will use this hotel? And they use the same stale ass loaf of bread and have orange juice and coffee. The only good part is the location, since it is in between LA and OC and close to the blue line. read more

I love it here the beds are so comfortable and all the staff are really nice. The decor is pretty good 2. There are stores around you don't have to drive to them. The rooms are really clean and all of them have refrigerators in them.i think the rooms on the second floor are nicer. Mixed reviews. Here now. First two nights in room 115 were cool. Clean room, quiet neighbors, parking right in front and a polite hotel staff. Easy to book, plus my wife booked the wrong day and the manager still looked out for me. Last night I switched room to 105. Just put all my stuff in the rook and took off for the day. Came back late in the day and the door lock doesn't work. TV also doesn't work, picture is all jumpy and grainy on the hdmi. Went in the bathroom and I see a fly just casually posted on the towel. Grab the fly with tissue and try to flush it...low and behold, toilet is broken. And at this time of the day no one is available to fix it. Kind of making me rethink my first two nights. Stayed here for a night. I accidentally booked a smoking room but the guy was not willing to have me switched to a non-smoking room even though they got plenty of rooms available. I walked into this establishment to see if they had any rooms. The attendant at the front desk ask me to hold on while he checked. After waiting a few minutes he came back to tell me to hold on a couple of more times. I then asked him what the room rates were and kept telling me to hold on. I waited about 15 minutes for him to finally tell me that had a room and the price was 89.00 plus tax. He then proceeded to tell me that it was additional $10 for each visitor. He ten told me the total with taxes was 107.81 but when I went to sign the receipt the total was $108.00 he told me he made an error. Upon entering my room the maid was still cleaning it so i waited her to finish and then entered my room. The appearance of the room was very nice but that was just the appearance. Once I sat on the bed I discovered a big hole in the middle that I sunk into. There was no drain plug for the bathtub and the toilet seat was practically falling off. The towels are big enough for a child or a teenager but not for grown adult. Normally I would have complained but it was such an ordeal to check in that I was tired and didn't want to deal with the front desk again. I didn't want to deal with the front desk personnel since it was such an ordeal to check in. read more
