It is definitely cheap. The outside access doors are not locked so anyone can gain access to the rooms. The rooms smell weird (we have 2), and are quite well worn. But the front desk person was extremely nice and helpful! read more

Picked this one because they allow dogs but from the friendly front desk person, to the so clean rooms to the really, really good breakfast next door at the comfort inn, owned together, you do yourself a service staying here. We got in about 9:00 pm after a moving day and dogs and us were all pretty tired and wired. Our first room key worked only once so when we gathered our junk to go back in, no luck. Front desk came right to us to bring us to the room next door. Quick solution with a friendly person! Comfy bed, everything working, good nights rest and that breakfast I mentioned all reasons for the 5 stars and I'll stay here again first chance I get. read more

This review is 4 stars for this class of hotel. This is super convenient, right off highway 76. The prices are decent and if you are trying to save money and "comparison shopping," I would say this is a good bet! If you want to be "near" Denver and you're passing through, but avoid the higher prices of Denver, this is also a good option. It's about 1:15-1:30 hrs away from the city. It's also a good option if you have pets! I'm sure that, with any roadside hotel, you might have you're shady characters lingering around. I didn't really notice any of this going on. The front desk girls were super nice!!! They were laughing, friendly, just so pleasant. They even gave me a little "welcome" package. EVERYONE here was super nice. I mean...EVERYONE. As far as the accommodations: very clean, large-ish mini fridge, microwave, no freezer, decent sized rooms. The bathroom was clean with "no stray hairs". I'm not sure what the smoking laws are in Colorado but there was that "musty smoky undertone" that some hotels have, and someone was smoking either right outside or in a nearby room bc it definitely could be smelled through the bathroom walls. Breakfast was a decent continental: cereal, juice, coffee, toaster with bread items, and a waffle maker. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons if you're looking for an pet-friendly, affordable place just outside of Denver. I would recommend this to like-minded travelers! We stopped here for the night and we should have pressed onto Denver. The hotel staff was nice but the hotel was very, very dated and even a bit shady. We had to stay here because it was the only pet friendly hotel in the area. Needless to say, our cats didn't even like the place and found the holes in the broken foundations of the bed and hid under it. We had to get them out three times before successfully plugging up the holes. The mattress was worn and my husband woke up at 2:30-4:30am finally giving up on sleep as did I not 30 minutes later. It was like a bed of springs and plywood. I would not go back and I would suggest anyone stay at the comfort inn next store if they want better accommodations. read more

This place was perfect for the final night of our vacation on way to catch flight out of Denver. Far enough away from Denver to be reasonably priced ($77/night, think we used AAA), yet close enough for a leisurely breakfast and drive to the airport. Convenient on/off from Interstate 76. Front desk staff pleasant and efficient. Plenty of parking in back. Our room was quiet, on the second floor (no elevator) facing the parking lot. Blackout curtains needed some help getting back on hooks; once rehung properly they did, indeed, work as "blackouts". Older buildings, felt slightly outdated. Room was clean as was bathroom. Wifi was spotty, regularly dumping me off - thus irritating with the constant sign-in with proper code each time. Beds comfortable enough and a/c worked fine. read more

I was driving on 1-76 with my two tiny dogs. The heat was terrible and even with ac my dogs were panting, I was getting exhausted and wanted to stop for awhile . I also didnt want to hit Denver during rush how hot and cranky. So being a choice hotel member I figured I'd stop at a comfort inn in sterling. Made the reservation on my iPad, ready to get into ac, arrived only to find out NO PETS. The woman canceled my reservation, at least that's what she said and I went to fort Morgan. Another confort inn no pets. Then I went to Rodeway Inn where I was greater by cindy who was friendly, happy to have my pets, even gave then a gift bags and so pleasant. The price was only $60. There is a place to eat right in the hotel. Everyone is nice. Stop and say Diane , Sasha and Lola sent you. read more

This was a great hotel to stay the night right off of the highway which was convenient . It was pet friendly , clean , decent price( accepts military and Aaa discount) and had a great restaurant Mavericks nearby so we didn't have to venture out for dinner . I really loved the little courtyard outside the room too so you can eat or hangout with your pet . Highly recommend . read more

Just traveling through the area and needed a overnight stop. This motel provided a comfortable room. It had microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Mattress comfortable. King bed. Good price. Typical continental breakfast. What I didn't care for was all the cigaret butts outside the entry door to our room. And I think several workers live there or stay there. I use ear plugs so I didn't hear the noise at 3 am. But my husband did. The Lobby is under construction at this time. Should be very nice when finished. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. Was it older looking ?, yes. Was it not as nice looking as the hotel 30 feet from it and the rest in town ... Yes. But- it was cheapest in town, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. When driving into fort Morgan we panicked thinking we had picked an old, gross hotel compared to the rest we were passing. We were wrong! The rooms were clean & updated, showers were big and they even had a cute rubber duck wrapped in the towels. The tv , microwave and appliances were new and worked great. We had a small dog and they had great areas for them to use the bathroom. There was also a big pond behind it. As an added bonus the Maverick restaurant was attached. They have a large variety of food / full bar and had breakfast each morning. They staff was friendly and they let us change rooms to be in a front room by the grass for our dog. Don't hesitate to book a room here- save your money and don't worry about the looks of it. The inside is just as nice as the other places. read more

If your driving in to colorado from east coast to west and need a break in a clean quiet hotel ( pet friendly ) stop in to see Adan, Lilia & Tommy at the Comfort Inn or Rodeway inn. Both hotels owned by the same owner btw. Awesome hospitality, very friendly staff, affordable rates and all employees mentioned above are extremely helpful to accommodate you in every way! Overall the rooms are very clean, the property is peaceful & quiet compared to other hotels we stayed at along the way. Tommy, Adan & Lilia are honestly the main reason why I stayed here twice within one weeks time. Nicest people ever. I'd have to say this hotel is also the best one to stay at on the eastern side of Colorado. Every star left here is very well deserved. read more

My stay here ended with a day that I was trying to sleep in and remodeling construction began at 7 AM in the room next to me. With a fan on and the air conditioner on high all I can hear is bang bang bang bang bang from a hammer. I rarely complain about hotels most things in this hotel are OK. One washer and one dryer for laundry both suck. Empty snack machine and soda machine always. Breakfast is basically waffle cereal or oj milk and toast no other options. It's not cheap enough for what you get stay somewhere else. read more

Stayed here during the Pedal the Plains bicycle tour. We were greeted by friendly front deck, Dyaneta. Spacious clean suite. The restaurant had good food and was busy with local folks so you know it was good. Saturday breakfast was excellent and they even gave us goodie bags for the bike ride. Banana, Gatorade and granola bar- how thoughtful. The morning breakfast hostess and staff were so friendly. read more

We booked online and no one was at the front desk. We were sent to the hotel next door. This hotel is under construction and the lobby isn't open. Sent to the side entrance. Finally got a room key. The section that our room is in isn't attached to the main building and the key reader was frozen over. Luckily some guy took his dogs out. Hopefully he got back in some how. We're out for dinner, and hopefully we can get back in. Terrible setup for a hotel in an area this cold. read more
