    My dog enjoy the stay!

Always a pleasure staying here. Everywhere else is pricey. Other places charge 100 for pets, here is 10. Every time I have an issue they always resolve it. I'm due time this place will flourish even more. I have high hopes for this place! They know what they're doing and keep it up!

now they said I booked handicap but this is the room they put in after the toilet broke the first night and I have been here three days so far They accepted the extra additional $20 cash for pet fee for the two extra days, already paid an additional $40 pet fee, yesterday and now they want more $20 more today I am cold and standing in the lobby I can not move cat is scared, see picture ps there were about 10 cockroaches in the other room, which she realized after she put me & the cat in the other room, this current room is the room she offered me at the beginning before the toilet problem. It took so much time to transfer my stuff over including getting the cat out of her hiding spot. they say this one is a king bed and I booked a queen bed the other room was two queen beds they said they will waive the $20 fee now now I just need my card activated I am locked out of my room Went back to front desk, okay my key card was re coded by manager. I am back in my room. geez - card was deactivated early on check out day No housekeeping, had to 'ask' for toilet paper had several spider bites, see picture

Bug that I killed in my bed after I woke up itching terribly

Run! It's bed bug infested! It's 3:00 am as I've just been awoken having been bitten all over my arm by bed bugs. (Pictures included). I'm in room 104. I wanted to leave the hotel immediately and went to the front desk and asked for a refund. The manager, a complete liar said he had no authority to refund. I was then denied another room. So I'm forced to sleep on the chair. The manager had zero accountability or responsibility. I believe this hotel is bed bug infested. I've enclosed a picture of the bug I just killed in my bed. Do not stay at this dump.

This is the more expensive room

This is the most horrible place ever. They have cockroaches and spiders. You have to ask for toilet paper. And then they nickel and dime you five and $10 at a time. If you can go to Williams Arizona they have lots of choices. PS the plumbing in the toilets also are on their last leg.

    Entire room was dirty.

ZERO STARS...This place should be condemned. Hotel was absolutely TERRIBLE. Room was damaged, dirty, and smelled awful. Plumbing issues as well made this room un-stayable. Management refused to issue a refund and I had to find a hotel 30 min away at 1030 at night with my son and his team. DO NOT STAY HERE. Trying to get my money back is very difficult. Employee claims he doesn't know the name of the manager, refuses to give any information about a corporate number. Reading the other reviews it looks like this hotel is run by an onsite local team. They refused to speak with me, or call me back. Getting my money back through my bank and will take legal action if I have to simply based on principal. Looks like they make their money by scamming customers because they sure as hell don't know how to run a hotel.

This place is an absolute disgusting establishment. Sure their prices are low and you get what you pay for but DAMN this dump takes the cake! The bathroom tub was black I refused to let myself or my husband step foot in there without shoes on. The beds were horrible. The pillows were so old and so nasty that we didn't use them. The bed had blood stains...not sure if they were bed buds. We never took our items after coming home inside our home when we returned, we immediately went to the laundry mat and threw away anything we could to protect our home. The carpet......GROSS!!! On top of that the cleaning lady never threw out our trash. They never changed our sheets. This motel overall was just a horrible experience all together. Next time I'll spend the money and go to a better hotel.

This chair was so stained that I didn't feel comfortable allowing anyone in my family to use it.

The Staff are super friendly and the place is old, but well kept to a boutique style hotel.. It's old old school.. If you struggle with carrying your luggage up two long flights of stairs, request ground floor.. There is no elevator.. Just FYI.. We were put in the smallest room they have.. Didn't know that until we were told that checking out.. They weren't even fully booked.. The room was small.. The Clark Gable Room.. Who ever stuck us in that room wasn't very nice, just saying.. The bed was hard and difficult to sleep on and the pillows didn't make it much easier either..Also there is only one outlet to charge phones on. There is only a charger/outlet on the table next to sink area. The air conditioner had one speed and didn't cool very well.. It was only 98 degrees outside.. I will tell you the shower room was seperate from the sink which was nice.. The shower was spacious and comfortable to shower in.. The lavender soap is nice too.. The towels were super thick and nice.. Had we been in a bigger or more comfortable room i probably would have given more stars.. To be honest.. Probably won't stop here again..

Instead, I broke up my stays between two hotels. The Winslow appears to be a newer hotel in the area. Since I was busy with the tournament, I didn't get a chance to explore much of the hotel. My room was clean and had a king bed, flat screen TV, small desk, mini closet, and more. It was plenty spacious for me and would be spacious for two people as well. The bathroom featured a large shower and large sink. Like one Yelper mentioned, the bathroom fan stays on the whole time. I've never experienced that before, but once I closed the door, I couldn't really hear it anymore. The hotel includes a hot breakfast with your stay which I took advantage of right before checking out. The buffet offered eggs, sausage, potatoes, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and more. There's also a bar that offers drinks and food. I slept well and had no issues during my stay. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and helpful.

It was nice that we didn't have to drive somewhere to have dinner and a cocktail. The hotel was recently remodeled, the rooms were decorated nicely and the bed was comfortable. The reason we will not return is because the fan in the bathroom cannot be turned off, it is very loud. So we had to shut the door to block the sound, that could be ok except when it's dark and you have to find your way to the bathroom. The second reason we would not go back is because the air conditioner unit is very loud. Every time it came on it would wake us.

It was very affordable ($45 a night) and the bed was SUPER comfortable. Each room has small fridge and microwave. Soft, fluffy white towels and is cozy. It's also located quite a bit off the freeway, which is nice because you get a decent night's sleep. Right across the street is small lounge and restaurant. Had cocktails that night in the lounge (no food there after 8pm) and a pretty typical diner breakfast in the lounge the next day. The Desert Sun Motel is a nice little oasis in the desert.

Being able to not take interstate highways for a lot of the trip AND having no clue where we were going to spend each night was something we looked forward to. Arriving late afternoon in Winslow we drove slowly past the Desert Sun Motel. The rooms were in a semi circle around a huge pea gravel parking area. We checked in to room 22 and I must say that it was one of the nicest budget places we have stayed in a long time. At $40 including taxes, this was not the cheapest place we stayed in, but the room was one of the best. It had recently been remodeled and the bathroom was just like home ... spacious, nice tile, well lit ... really clean and roomy. The bedroom had a most comfortable mattress and armoir, sitting chair with ottoman and TV. The room had a very neutral odor ... no cover ups here ... and very quiet during the evening. Driving through Winslow might scare most people off from stopping, but take the time to walk around, have a cup of coffee and definitely stay overnight at the Desert Sun. Nice managers and nice motel. You will think you are back in the 50's again.

Given that I was driving from the LA area to Chicago, this was my first stop. I arrived at 12:45am (the night of 12/30, early early morning 12/31), and walked into the lobby where no one was to be found. I waited for over 20 minutes there after many attempts to call them with the coffee phone provided, as well as ringing the bell, and calling from my personal phone - NO ANSWER, NOBODY. After a very long day of driving and being up early, I was very unsure what to do as all I needed was a bed to sleep in since I had another long drive the next day. I called the Quality Inn down the road since they are apart of the same group that owns Econolodge, and the guy didn't know what to tell me and basically told me to call a main number for help since they had no vacancies. That number did not get me connected to anyone since it wasn't during normal business hours. Long story short, I ended up staying at a Quality Inn in Holbrook (a 35 minute from there) and didn't get to bed until well after 2pm. I also ended up paying more than triple than what I initially paid which they will not refund me for which I find strange considering it was their fault I was put in this predicament. I was very displeased and it makes me disappointed to have even signed up with Choice Hotels.
