But after reading some of the reviews for New Life Landscape Services, we decided to touch base with them. Danny showed up on time for the initial meeting and listened to our needs and wants. He made some outstanding suggestions for our shrubbery beds, and we decided to move forward and schedule the project. I'm really glad that we trusted Danny. He and his staff showed up on time, and they were already working on the yard when I rolled out of bed. The plants that he selected were beautiful. He even gave us a credit when there were a few shrubs left over. The entire project was completed in just half a day. He even created a nice flower bed next to the front door with some perennials. My wife and I were so thrilled and satisfied that we (a) also decided to use New Life for our weekly lawn maintenance... and (b) we will be contacting them later in the year for our back yard project. There were several parts to the project - removing rhizomes, removing aggressive groundcover, assessing a huge cactus that cracked its pot, adding rocks and succulents, etc. Corey presented solutions and great ways to enhance the garden. When he talked about using cement edges, we'd never considered it but love the idea. So, after speaking with Corey, an experienced arborist, why didn't we go ahead? Because my husband and I realized that the plan would've required us to commit to weeding often. We designed the rock/succulent garden but after remembering how we have to weed in the rock area on our property, we put the project on hold. Yes, I'm keeping Dynasty Tree Service's info nearby to use when our tree needs pruning again. While we decided not to proceed on the project for which I reached out to Dynasty, I know there'll be other projects to do, and look forward to speaking with Corey and getting excited by all his great ideas!

I should've done a before and after because what a huge difference the front of our yard looks. Jorge picked out the green ficus plants to plant around the agave and they truly are beautiful. I'm excited to watch them grow and get fuller around the agave. They were also super friendly which I feel is rare nowadays and answered all the questions/concerns that I had. They arrived at 9am and worked their butt offs until almost 2. I did my best to keep them hydrated and I gave them mini kind bars as a snack - it's important to treat those doing work on your house as good as possible!
