I ordered a few small items through Drizly and was given a time roughly about 2 hours for delivery. Under the circumstances of the quarantine, surprised the estimate was so soon. I was pleasantly surprised by the assortment of beverages, precisely with their Soju choices, Many stores in this area have no clue what it is. So I selected a bottle of green grape Jinro along with some Frangelico for some coffee drinks I will be crafting later this week. I saw some of the horror stories regarding delivery, but mine through Drizly went really smooth and easy. The only issue I had was the lack of regular mixers, like a Coca-Cola or ginger ale. Since they didn't have any, I ended up changing my order and added a miniature of orange creme Svedka. We will see how that works out. The $30 minimum, it seemed a little high but hey, these are hard times. read more

DO NOT ORDER ON WEBSITE. I ordered a Black Barrel Jameson 1L for a get together with friends. Went to Rodse Wines and Liquors to pick-up and was told that I had to wait 2-3 business days for the bottle (Both the bottle and myself were in the store) o_O When I asked why? I was told the website is "only for out-of-state" customers. I couldn't find anything on it that states this. I was told to cancel my order and to pay twice for one bottle (no thanks!). Terrible. After 4 hours of waiting and getting excuses via text, they finally delivered. I understand not being able to meet the delivery window, but 4 hours later? Ridiculous. They even had the nerve to say that the driver couldn't get down my block because of an ambulance as I was watching cars go by. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS LIFETIME will I order from the DRIZLY delivery serve! I live in Atlanta and I tried to surprise my brother and SIL in Brooklyn with an Anniversary gift but the surprise was on me! Almost 6 hours after the order was scheduled to deliver, my order was canceled! I STILL have no idea why. The email said "payment error", but the money was taken from my account IMMEDIATELY after I ordered (go figure). I called Rodse, the referred me RIGHT BACK to Drizly. Of course drizly only has an "email contact" option. For hours... I had no clue what was going on and no one to assist before the random cancellation email came. Shame on me.. desperate to get it right, ordered AGAIN! SAME UNBELIEVABLE RESULT. At the end of a whole day! No anniversary gift. They have a pretty solid selection at this location, I wish they had more of what I like. But the staff is friendly and fairly good at making suggestions though I haven't *loved* anything I've gotten here. My main gripe is the prices. I've found most of the wines marked up $3 compared to other liquor stores. A plus....parking, its conveniently in front of the store. Getting out and back into traffic can be a bit tricky. This place is the textbook example of why the three tier system of liquor distribution ends in a totally unregulated market with owners charging whatever they please above suggested retail price. It is one thing that the posted prices on their app are greedily high, but when I find something close to MSRP and give it to the shopkeeper to make a purchase, he stares at his screen for a minute and then says it should be $100 higher. If you ever go into the store, just look around at all the unsold bottles in little locked display cabinets as if they were museum pieces. Horrible customer service! Made the mistake of ordering from this scammer online. I messaged through their website twice and finally had to call them asking for a tracking number but apparently they're too lazy to answer people who order from them. When they finally answered it was to tell me that they wanted $63.00 to ship two bottles to me. I paid the shipping because at this point I'd already been waiting a week. I received my package another week later and opened it to realize that their $63 shipping fee was for taping black shipping bags around the bottles with no other packing materials and shipping it the cheapest option possible. In the process of their half assed packaging they broke the seal on one of the bottles making a $200 collectible bottle of whiskey worthless. I contacted them again to get the insurance information but of course they did not answer. read more

They are pretty decent. A little pricey to be honest. I have bought similar bottles of wine and liqour at significantly lower prices. And today when i went to order for delivery, the cost of the bottle went up by 5 dollars. I only buy from here as a last resort to be honest because i dont feel like going out to buy. But they do have a great selection of wines and liqours and delivery can either be fast or slow depending on the day and time of order. Not many places deliver, so this place is a gem. Especially with Covid 19, these locations provide you with some comfort regarding getting your drink on lol. read more

This used to be my go to wine shop. I have had pleasant in store visits. I have also ordered online, on the app and over the phone for delivery. Today I ordered online and after over a hour I called because delivery is usually very quick when in the neighborhood. I was told with a very aggressive tone that delivery was only available Monday-Friday online. No where online it states that. It actually states shipping is available 24 hours 7 days a weekend. I was also told rudely that I could not come into the store and retrieve my items because there was no way to verify my purchase, although my email confirmation from the liquor store stated that my order was viewed by Rodse Wine. They told me they would give me a call back but I actually had to call them back. After the 3rd call with a different salesperson I was ultimately not offered a solution and I had to suggest a refund. No discount was given for my next purchase in fact they were barely apologetic and I was met with a defensive tone stating I should have read the online prompt that did not exist. I'm extremely disappointed because I'm all about supporting my local businesses but I will have to patronize another small business. What can I say about Rodse? They have been takling care of me for awhile now and have done a great job of it. I love that I can get liquor delivered to my door, saving me the trouble of going out myself. The prices here are excellent and most of the time they have the items I want in stock. (They are always helpful when they do not have the item I want in stock, offering similarly priced alternatives and making recommendations). The drivers have been very patient wth me as I have placed multiple orders in one night and they have always been friendly and courteous. The only minor complaint I have is that delivery typcially takes longer than usual. (I'm usually told it will be 30 minutes but invariably it's an hour or longer). Other than that, service is great! Finally, they take credit cards! This is always good news to me since none of the liquor stores in my neighborhood take them! read more

Confession: I've never actually been inside this store. And I've never felt the need to, because the delivery service is SO good. It's quick, inexpensive, and friendly. Plus, if they're out of stock of something you order, someone will call you and offer suggestions for a replacement, and are always very knowledgable and friendly. This is my go-to liquor store in Bushwick. It is definitely one of the better options in the area that has a nice selection of liquor and wines. The store has a double layout, one side sells spirits and the and the other sells wine and champagne. The staff is very helpful and for the most part knowledgeable about what the my carry, but the "mom" of the store is much more helpful when it comes to wine recommendations. They also provide delivery but they take way too long. I live maybe 5 minutes from the store (driving) and it has taken them almost 1.5hrs every time to deliver my order. Aside from that I'd definitely recommend giving this place a shot, especially if you live near Jackie Robinson Pkwy read more

Rodse is super convenient, delivers small orders within 45min if I order online, and large orders within a day or two. I recently went in person and ordered several cases of wine and liquor for a party from them and they gave me a good discount for buying in bulk (cash payment helps, too). Their store is small and most of the stock is behind glass, but you can get a better sense of their selection that way. The owner is friendly and knowledgable for recommendations in your price range, and it may be good to call ahead to make sure he's there when you go, because his clerks don't have the same skills. Maybe this local Wine & Liquor store in a Brooklyn hood does a fair job for the locals. They should abandon their online presence however where their service not only sucks, but may even border on nefarious activities. I placed an order for a particular wine/vintage, where there was no indication it wasn't available on July 8th. It is now 8 days later, and had it not been for my inquiry on the 15th, I may still be wondering where the hell my order is. Actually, I got an email from them that said, "Your order has been viewed." WTF? Nowhere in that email does it say anywhere that they were out of stock or an apology for the inconvenience. Thanks for viewing my order you losers! Shortly after I received that email from Rodse, I received an email from PayPal advising of a refund from Rodse but still with no explanation why. So they play with my money for a week, didn't think to advise me themselves so I'm betting it would have gone another week or two before anybody would have viewed my order that was sitting in their warehouse that no one could find the wine to fulfill the order, so it just got left on a table until the next schmuck tried to find the wine so he could just lay it back on the table.
