My most recent item was regarding my left knee, Dr. McConnell reviewed the images, gave a diagnosis & treatment plan. I was at Dr Sorger's office for hip surgery. I had radiation @ St Mary's Oncology Radiology with Dr Sharma for pain in my lower back & hip. I had no idea that the radiation was going to do so much damage to my hip! No one told me that at the end of my radiation txs I would need a hip replacement!! My hip was fine before the radiation! A few weeks later was when the pain really started & after 2-3 months it was unbearable!! Dr Gunzenhaeser - Orthopedic Surgeon told us that my hip was the worst hip he had ever seen & he didn't know I could walk with it! Two different times Christy helped by moving my surgery date & time forward, faxing my Physical Therapy orders & all of the other things that needed to be done quickly. Christy is very knowledgeable & she definitely goes above & beyond. If it wasn't for Christy's constant monitoring in my chart & checking in with me many times- my experience @ Beacon's wouldn't have been so smooth! Thank you Christy - you are awesome to work with- on top of things to say the least!

Kremchek Timothy E MD - They put you in physical therapy less than 24 hours after surgery. That black thing is ice. 10/10 recommend the ice machine every time.

He's an excellent doctor. However, he's not the type to really shoot the breeze with you, so if you…read morehave questions, be sure to bring them up as soon as he walks in. He's incredibly thorough and the trainers/assistants around the office are also wonderful - they're all beautiful, which was startling but aspirational. We were told they were running 40 minutes behind, but ended up waiting 2 hours, which wasn't ideal. It was also the day before Thanksgiving though, so I sort of get it. Overall, I had a pretty good pre-op experience. However, when my sister came here 3 years ago for ACL reconstruction, she never regained feeling in the front of her shin. When she called about it, they said it probably wasn't their fault. I can recommend Beacon and Kremchek for any sports-related injury, but my sister wouldn't say the same. So take that for whatever it's worth. UPDATE: I'm a month out from surgery and I have healed remarkably quickly thanks to the stud Physical Therapy team. So, I dropped the score for Kremchek not the entirety of the team. Beacon as an organization has been wonderful, but I've been continually unimpressed with Kremchek as a person/doctor. The appointment I had remove my brace (read: leg cage) was on the calendar for a month, but I got a call a few days beforehand that said it had to be moved due to Reds spring training or something. I was going to have to wait another week or two to get my brace taken off, even though my healing progressed well enough to remove it. I had to ask to be seen by another doc because this brace is the PITS and I want it off ASAP. So I am seeing Valezquez. It's just obvious that Kremchek prioritizes his celebrity (well, it's the Reds, so maybe that's not the right word) clients over average people.
