The Good: Very responsive, communicated well. Mike the head of the paint crew was great and took a lot of extra care on a lot of the big issues that arose (I'd hire him independently again if I could). The Bad: Very high billing rate compared to competitors, 2 week job turned into 6 weeks, additional charges with a subpar result. I have a 1200 sq home and we wanted interior drywall textured smoothed and then painted. I went to Rogall because of their stellar online ratings, and despite a higher billing rate, I thought I'd be getting a professional, high quality end result. After two coats of plaster to smooth the walls, we were told the texture team said they needed a third coat done. This increased the material and labor cost by approximately 30%. The total amount billed was approx. $17,000 just for the texturing, mostly a result of their approx. $110 per hour charge for the texturing When we returned to the house after the painting was done, we were shocked at the state of the walls. It was clear, in any sort of lighting, that the texture was not smooth in large areas, specifically near the windows, in the kitchen, and in the bathrooms. What's more, the crews did not remove anything from the walls that we hadn't already removed. I personally removed all the electrical fittings but both the textures and painters just painted around things I was assured would be removed. The paint had poke marks in large areas, which I think was a result of the walls not being cleaned of the dust from the sanding of the texturing. The pictures posted are of what two crews (the texture and painters) thought was passable as a result. Even after the additional 3 weeks of work they did (at no charge) where they essentially re textured and painted the entire house, the end result feels rushed and unprofessional. Almost every electrical outlet has paint on them, something I expected would be removed by the crew at some point. Bathroom and kitchen fixtures had paint on them, as well as the washing machine. I found one spot in the bedroom where the wall paint ended up on the ceiling. Almost every day I notice a new spot on the wall where the texture is still incomplete. To be honest, I was expecting them to refund the additional 30% for the texturing due to the huge problems, but they did not offer. I gave two stars because I think some of this is on me. I now know that I should not do per hour work on large projects like this. I also know that I need to ask more questions about the project management and quality checking of jobs. I just assumed that there would be a project manager involved. Overall, I am unsatisfied with the end result and am already researching other companies to fix the remaining issues. For future projects I'll look for smaller companies that have more dedicated resources for projects like this.

After 20 years of a white house, needed an outer paint job. Rogall was prompt to respond to my inquiries. Very courteous and flexible about meeting. They offer multiple phases of the job from washing, repairing and actual painting. Bids are upfront. Discussions of what is covered etc is clear. They are busy but squeezed us in and were very organized and efficient. On the job, they were neat and tidy. Cleaned up all trash. Started early every morning and job site management were respectful and provided coaching to other employees. The end product speaks for itself. I would highly recommend Rogall!!

Rogall repaired areas of wood rot and stucco damage, sealed and painted the exterior of our home and rebuilt our deck. The work was done in a timely fashion and the Project Manager(s) kept us up to date on the status of the projects. The quality of workmanship was exceptional for each part of the project. Other neighbors who had their homes painted by other companies can't believe the level of detail Rogall provided. There is a minor issue with one deck board but they are working to take care of it (needed an additional board). We would highly recommend their services! UPDATE - they fixed the minor issue and reset some pavers that were up against the deck. The work on the pavers is amazing!!! Juan is the best!!

Nathan came out to meet me the same day I called him to estimate a painting job left undone by another contractor.

I had reached out to Shaun last year about house painting and re-roofing. I needed someone to be…read moreturnkey for me as I have been too sick to do even daily routines. He was so kind. We set up a date, but when I needed to change it to this year... he was so a-ok with whatever I needed to do. Shaun is kind, knowledgeable, prompt, and flat out knows his stuff! An amazing individual! For the pictures below... I realize these "beach colors" are not for everyone, but I wanted you to see the ragging detail as well as the prepping detail. Just amazing! The last 10 days his crew have been prepping and painting the exterior of our home. When I wasn't happy with one of colors "I" chose... no one bat an eye. They just primed over it and repainted until I was happy. And when I changed from painting to rag painting the walls instead... I was stunned to realized how talented his crew was. They did a better job of ragging than I did some 19 years ago. LOL His crew spent so much time prepping my home for paint. They arrived early and one of them usually left after 6pm when he made sure the cleanup was complete. With the prepping, windows covered in plastic. Nested birdhouses removed a safe distance. Cams safely covered. Etc. They did so much more than even I would have (and I'm pretty picky!) This is just an example of the detailed care Shaun and his amazing crew did for my project: They had taken down one of my cams (and covered 2 others) prior to painting. The main wonderful person had taken photos of literally everything on/around our home, prior to starting my project. Then later yesterday, using those same pictures to guide him in putting things back. And look how he used his picture to aim one of my cams perfectly!! Two other cams got tweaked during covering them. But due to his pictures... he re-adjusted them all perfectly!! And he replaced my porch artwork perfectly! It's these little touches that I didn't realize would be important to me. Yet they touched me so much!! COMPETENT, friendly, helpful, thorough, efficient, TALENTED!!! I LOVE SHAUN AND HIS CREW.

By far THE BEST CONTRACTOR I have ever worked with. I know that Shaun works in Cambria, Cayucos,…read moreMorro Bay, and Los Osos but it turns out he is all over Cayucos. So backing up a bit... I move to Cayucos 3 years ago and my house was newer than most so I thought I was in great shape when it came to home remodeling or repair... and not needing much of it. HA! Turns out, we needed to replace a few doors and windows because last year's storm tested the limits of waterproofing. Ever since I moved to Cayucos I have always seen General Contract O'Shea's signs up, his great exterior work, and his green truck all around at different home remodel sites, bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, deck remodel, etc... You get the idea, he does a ton of work around town. So we call Shaun and ask him to take a look at the project. He is a very nice person, took time to explain what the process would look like, and then gave us a few contacts where we should go look at doors and windows. Fast forward 8 weeks after the door and window project was almost done we found wood rot... and a lot of it! Shaun and his team found deck dry rot, railing issues, unsafe areas, and found the reason that a lower window was having issues opening and closing (a lot of wood was rotten). While away at work he sent me videos and picture to explain what was going on. We had calls every couple of days to stay on the same about the deck remodel, door and window replacement, and the stucco work that is now being done. His prices is very fair. His crew are some of the nicest and competent people you will meet. Everyone is very polite and trustworthy. My wife and I are really appreciate his work. - We are not yet done with the project so I will post some finish photos but for now I can post some of the demo...
