One of the best meals of 2020!!!
I came here during my London trip Feb,2020. Ate, sipped and tasted a lot of things around town..again! But this place was hands down the highlight of my London trip this year! Hands down.
Michelin star: check! Organic, farm to table everything: check! Simplicity! check! Clean, crisp, amazing end note from all courses to my wine pairing: check check check!! In short:I loved my meal here. Also, I was the only one under the age of 50 that was dining here during my visit. Not sure if that meant something. Regardless, it was my favorite.
I had a delicious set menu with wine pairing. Wines were mostly Italian and ok for me. I mean, give Italian an Italian wine: ok fine! The food however wins in every single course. Even the bread was amazing.
I loved the foraged mushrooms ( yey spring!), loved the truffle soufflé, so rich! Cheese course! Even that magical deconstructed dessert! And of course: the lamb! It was a very rainy day in London that day! Very rainy! And my uber took forever to get here with traffic. I gladly took my time with this meal ( a good 2.5 hours) or they did. Left full, happy! And with a beautiful togo bake at home dessert gift! I came on a valentines day no less! Or that valentine's menu ( the day before) Woot woot.
I'd definitely and gladly return if/when things and they reopen from covid19 shutdown!! Hopefully soon!! read more
