We met the gorgeous couple who hand-make the gorgeous jewelry sold under the Dconstruct name at the Winnipeg Folk Fest, and then got to visit their shop and atelier in town. They've got their whole families involved making modern lovely pieces, and everything feels made with care and packed with love. My favourites are the pendants made of cement with rose gold, super stunning and like nothing else I've really seen. They also stock a small but beautifully curated collection of independent designer fashion for women, including Eve Gravel from Montreal whose dresses just keep getting better and better, and some stylish t-shirts and tops. They have some art and cards for sale and a number of other treasures in the tiny space. Definitely go say hi if you are in the area. This little designer shop perfect for gift giving and for buying that one piece that everyone will ask you about and then you can say casually "Oh this, i got it in Winnipeg!" And it will sound terribly exotic.

Great Product, Great Customer Service…read more A few months ago I had purchased a pair of beautiful and unique looking concrete cufflinks for my boyfriend from a boutique distributor in NYC. After attending an event he was devastated to find that one cufflinks had been lost and the boutique no longer sold them. While researching concrete cufflinks online I found Dconstruct and called and spoke to Trish who was able to verify that the cuffs were originally from Dconstruct. Even though Dconstruct does not still currently offer the exact combination of color concrete and gold of the original pair, Trish was able to get an identical replacement pair and send them to us, completely as a curtesy. This level of kindness and commitment to ones customers really stands out. I am so deeply appreciative to Trish and the team at Dconstruct. I am also very excited to have found them because they have great products and I'm definitely looking as I shop for unique gifts my loved ones (and myself).

On April 30 Sunny called and said he could come on Monday May 4 to drop off the watch. So Monday May 4 he drives 40 mins to drop off the watch at the store. He was told no we are not accepting watches for repair? He said I was called last week you were? The sales lady said no, we had a staff meeting this morning and we now aren't? It sure would of been nice if somebody would of called to tell us not to come? Wasted a hour and a half drive and time for nothing. I wouldn't recommend them for service on high end watches. Deal direct with Toronto who fixes the watches on there behalf. Customer service wasn't a great experience.

Most of the pieces are sterling silver or 18K gold and there are pieces that have pearls and other gemstones. But they definitely lean more towards simply designed sterling silver earrings, necklaces and rings. They even do custom work as my friend received a pretty custom charm necklace from her husband. Service is decent - can range from aloof to really nice depending on the sales person. And you can usually find the designer herself in the store.

I was surprised to read the US customer complaining about delivery, I sincerely doubt they were doing anything but the best they could to resolve the issue. I do a lot of shipping for my side business as well and those types of issues take time and are sometimes complex. I would consider that one more of a review of the postal service than the jewelry store.

The new store is deeper so there's more space to showcase the jewellery, clothes, bags and scarves and other accessories. There's lots of unique pieces and there is a huge price range so you can easily find a nice gift for yourself or someone else. There's also a lot of different styles available too from cute, professional, funky, trendy etc. They have a small section for men but I didn't see many cufflinks, something they use to carry more abundantly in the past. Service is friendly and laid back as I never feel like there's pressure to buy, which can happen in these smaller boutiques. Oh and they have a pretty good exchange policy if the item doesn't work out. The only downside is that there's no return so you will be stuck with a credit note.

Staff are super friendly and kind. Just an update for those who like gifts that matter They are selling the cutest wooden houses in support of mental health . All the proceeds go the maker which is really amazing. They have a map of Manitoba and come with a little star so you can place your town on the map. For 15-20 dollars they are a steal and will look super cute in my kitchen. The staff said you can email the maker for custom provinces. I think they would make a great gift for a great cause.

The staff that assist me was very friendly, and I got to meet Tom, the goldsmith where he checks my ring on the scope where I can see my ring closely in the monitor on how the claws were all worn out. I asked them for an estimate, and it was affordable, and within my budget so I told them to go ahead with the repair. After two days they called me that it's done and I was so surprised how fast the service and how beautiful my ring was! It's like brand new!!! I will definitely go here again for any repairs I need!
