Gave me all my options for repair and did not try to push me into a whole new ring or setting. Explained the cost per repair and the length of time those repairs would last very clearly. Rather than trying to have me repair the edges which would have encouraged me to have to come back in a few years and spend hundreds again, I opted for the new setting and that lasts up to 20 more years! In 2010 my husband and I bought our wedding set here. We saw something that caught our eye... I knew it was the one. We, of course, had to customize it to make it our own. So we ask the salesman, Andy, to add an additional band and sauter them together. Without hesitation he did that and added a much needed warranty to my shopping list. I had a custom antique piece that was handed down to me from my grandmother when she passed. Just wanted to share my experience with Roger's Jewelers. It was time to finish an Art Deco ring setting I bought many years ago with a fancy cut stone. We had a friend with a fine jewelry store so I know a bit about the 4 C's and exactly what I was looking for. I visited several websites and quickly decided I didn't want to spend time buying and returning any stones, and didn't like the idea of no guarantees, what a hassle. A picture you see on line, carat weight and dimensions on a cert can look much different in person. I visited several stores and pawn shops, then a co-worker mentioned she bought her engagement ring at Rogers, Reno, had great customer service and warranty support so I decided to check them out. I was greeted by Connor, explained what I was looking for and the journey began. I was only interested in a certain fancy stone so he took great care to bring in stones to examine and try in the setting. We eliminated some, brought in more and I made my final decision. I admit, it took a few months to complete because I'm very picky but was so worth it. From the first day I walked in the door (usually in work clothes) he never judged, was never pushy, never tried to up sell, just wanted me to be happy. After ordering my husband's new ring we were told it was discontinued. We ordered a second ring that 2 months later was discontinued. We were 6 months into this journey and no ring. We came in to the store in June frustrated and irritated. The former person who was not keeping us notified no longer worked there. Tiffany was amazing. I've brought in several things (necklaces with broken chains/clasps) and they have always been very thorough, businesslike, and professional in both estimates and repair ($27 for soldering and repair). The turnover is typically less than a week, and they take the time to let you look over the repair and ask questions before and after. Great customer service incoming and outgoing; this time the multitalented front desk staff fixed the band on my watch gratis in a matter of minutes while I waited in addition to writing the work orders for my repair. If there was less than one star review I would prefer that. This was one of my worst retail experiences of all time. The sales people are fake and the new manager is rude. I don't think he knows it but the jokes, just the way he spoke, was condescending and made me feel very uncomfortable. My friend also had a bad experience here but I tried them anyway. I feel they try to up-sale you and not focus on what you are asking for. The office workers were not up to par either. I overheard them trying to convince one customer of some guarantee plan, which they didn't want. Lady kept asking are you sure, very pushy, and rude! Why would I buy the jewelry there if it is so likely to break they cover that, but only for extra cost! Don't buy here for holidays or any other occasion. When we went back 6 years later to upgrade the diamond the sales lady allowed us to walk out the door after she showed us a $16,000 diamond that was out of our budget. Buying an engagement ring is a huge undertaking, and I did a ton of research online before even setting foot in a store (and you should too!). Rogers was actually my first stop - both because it actually looked like they had some genuine positive reviews and they have a prominent Ethical Diamond Sourcing Policy. I couldn't find the same promise with any of the major jewelry retailers in Reno, so I wanted to give them the first shot at my business. I typically don't like dealing with salespeople anywhere (I'm pretty much a cranky anti-store hermit). The main thing that I liked about Rogers is that I did not feel any pressure or rush whatsoever. I told the salesperson upfront what I was looking for, and from there we just went around the store looking at all the display cases trying to refine my search. I had already done some basic research about diamond cuts/quality (make sure to look up the "4 C's" before you buy) but I still couldn't hide the fact that my fine jewelry knowledge was still sorely lacking. Thankfully, my salesperson wasn't the least bit condescending about this and took the time to give me a more detailed lesson in diamond buying and more things to look for, as well as what their store was capable of providing. We came across the perfect ring in the very last display case on our tour. Whether this was pre-planned (it fit my criteria perfectly) or just sheer luck I will never know...but it doesn't matter now because my fiancee absolutely LOVES it! I wanted a diamond put in the ring that wasn't typically used in this kind of setting, so they had to call the manufacturer and ask if it could be done, and told me it might take a day or so. I went to a few other stores in Reno but didn't get nearly the same level or service and was still thinking about the first one I found. Not to mention that Rogers called me only an hour later telling me that they already called the manufacturer and could have them start on making the ring right away. They really put in the effort to help me make the right purchase and I really appreciated that. The whole buying process was really smooth and the ring came out exactly how I wanted. Since this was such a big purchase I wanted to write a more detailed review for Rogers since they really impressed me with their service. I purchased 2 personalized rings online from a different store. When I received them I realized they were about half a size too small. I had 2 options I could either ship them back to where I bought them for an extra charge to have them resized and wait for 3 weeks maybe longer... OR I could go to Rogers. I buy all my Pandora jewelry there and I always have a great experience so I gave them a try. I walked in with my 2 little boys both under the age of 4. We were warmly welcomed by JB. I explained my situation with the rings and he took care of it right away. I took the boys over to a cozy fire place where there was cookies and hot chocolate. They sat down and had a little snack.
