I love trying new coffee shops in a town that is full of them. It's not easy competition and you have to bring something to the table that is new. One is their location, this isn't necessarily "walkable" from typical locations downtown, but it is set off! It also isn't a basic aesthetic for traditional coffee shops these days. I love the exposed brick and the ability to sit and have parties with you. It's a great place for a morning study/work session! The coffee was good, nothing amazing and nothing bad. We also got a bagel with cream cheese, that was also good but nothing crazy! One thing we were both shocked by was the pricing! It's very reasonable as coffee shops have become very pricey! It was $14 for 2 coffees and a bagel with cream cheese! Overall it's a cute place, that has a quiet atmosphere and is good for meet ups!

The staff is incredibly sweet! I'm usually pretty slow when it comes to ordering because of how indecisive I am. However, they took the time to explain to me all the different menu items and what specials they were having. Also, their Matcha is the only place where I've been able to consistently get good Matcha. Some places in Lakeland that have Matcha that can be really hit or miss, but their staff is really on point with their Matcha and coffee. Also, I was told that all of their pastries are made from scratch, and they taste like it too. Side note, if you've ever had their s'mores cookie, it is the best thing I've ever had in my life. I 10 out of 10 recommend it. The atmosphere is very cozy, and it has a lot of cute nooks and crannies where you can sit and get comfortable with your friends. If you live in Lakeland or are driving through Lakeland, I really recommend this spot.

We stumbled across this cafe while walking around and decided to come inside for a coffee. The interior is spacious, clean, and well decorated with a good amount of seating. We ordered the Spooky S'more latte, a Spanish coffee, and a cappuccino. Each drink was extraordinarily delicious. The workers were so kind and made the space feel so welcoming. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

This coffee shop opened up a couple of months ago, and I've been meaning to try it because I work in the area! I walked over today and was not disappointed! The atmosphere was great! I loved the open concept! The barista was super nice, and the drink was good! I got the buttercup latte from the seasonal menu. It was a little sweet for my taste, but now I know to ask for half sweet next time! I can't wait to come back to try some more!

The promise of this coffee shop has not blossomed since opening and my November visit. No marketing, don't know hours, changed their almond milk to a yucky one. Closed when it should be open. Took a friend there this week. No published food menu. No pastries under their empty glass for pastries (at 9:30 am). Said they still made omelettes (the two I'd had in past visits were fluffy and delicious). We ordered omelettes $8. They weren't fluffy. They didn't have spinach. They didn't have mushrooms. They use "yellow cheese" (no feta, etc). They were out of the little salsa that came before. The one employee is the barista, cook, dishwasher. She made one omelette brought it out, then went in to make the 2nd one so we didn't eat together, we ate after each other. No garnish or side on the plate. This time and the last time, they make the eggs and then serve the drink. We'd be happier waiting while sipping. Service took wayyyy toooo lonnng. The egg was decent, the girl was sweet, the industrial "digs" are fine. But I hate to see an empty coffee shop, out of everything, no menu and wish they had a better approach or business model. I'm not likely to return, after thinking this could be "my place". Very disappointed in food, coffee, service.

I don't get the "beach vibe" from the gray truck. Owner only says it's a Tampa coffee or "Colombian". I am not impressed with places who hide their brand choices from the public, suggesting they don't believe in the current brand, or switch with convenience or price. They use Califia Farms almond milk (yuk) which tastes terrible and tends to thicken. Get around it by having an Americano or cold brew rather than a latte; sad they don't go with more universal & tasty brands with no after-taste (Silk, Almond Breeze, Friendly Farms). My first experience had long waits & 2 in the truck. This recent time was only one person and still long waits but the line went more quickly. They have expanded into teas, dirty sodas and boba. I'm not likely to frequent the truck if anything with better almond milk is nearby. But others mite enjoy the experience. I didn't see any food options.

They are a very small local business, so they freshly handmake all of their boba each week. It's the brown sugar kind and the pearls are always big, chewy and just that perfect soft texture. There's not a technical storefront for these guys, but they have a kitchen set up at Catapult Lakeland which is right along Lake Mirror downtown. I think you can visit them during the week? But I have not tried yet. They do set up shop at the Lakeland Farmers Market every Saturday and it's always a hit. They've even upgraded from having a tent stand to their own trailer/ food truck. So proud of the progress. If you follow them on Instagram, you'll also see MK Boba will do pop ups and mini partnerships with other specialty markets. Lakeland has makers markets and other things every few weeks and they'll be at those sometimes, and they even did a partner up with the Poor Porker in town where you could get boba and beignets in the same stop (it's an unlikely but magical duo). Beyond their incredible tapioca boba, the drink flavors MK Boba sells are just so phenomenal. The dirty horchata is a fan favorite, and they also make a strawberry purée that is just delightful mixed with the horchata or matcha. They've started some other specialty flavors as well, like colorful fruity teas and butterfly pea drinks. These guys are just the best, and I'm so proud and happy that they claim Lakeland as their home turf. Their service is always so friendly even though they're quite busy every time they set up, and they deserve all the rewards for how hard they work. Love some MK boba!!

If you've never had Vietnamese Iced Coffee, HIGHLY recommend it. They make it just like every Vietnamese restaurant and it's the best iced coffee you'll can get. I ordered an iced coffee, eggrolls, and bo luc lac (shaking beef) for eating in and another coffee and a banh mi to go. The food was so good in the restaurant that I forgot to take pictures. Very tasty and this was a great hidden gem in Lakeland. I went with coworkers as a party of six. Menu clearly states parties of 6+ have tip automatically included. It was and I just wish I could've tipped on top. Place was nice and spacey but casual. You can talk and have conversation. Not a quiet, "upscale" kind of place but would still be great for a date night. Plenty of parking because it's in a huge shopping plaza. Price point is pretty good considering how other places are priced. Overall, if you like Vietnamese food (or have never tried it), this is a great spot to check out. Highly recommend and love finding this spot in my city! EDIT/UPDATE: The food and service is still 5 stars. I took a star off because I found out the tips don't go to the servers. I saw this on a recent visit. Will definitely come back for the food and service, but I won't be tipping. As a former food service worker myself, that doesn't sit right with me.
