When you think about sailing, you typically think of water but for me the it was in the air...in a hot air balloon because that is what it feels like. You are gently sailing. The soft climb and the peace that you feel when you are drifting aloft...it is nothing short of amazing. While I wager most would feel this regardless of where they went ballooning, I personally believe the experience was only sweetened by Rohr Balloons. Brian takes such pride and commitment into ensuring his guests are treated with care. We had to reschedule our flight due to weather but I chalk that up to Texas and was even more comforted by the fact that our pilot had our safety in mind. Brian's communication was spot on what you would expect from a seasoned professional. He made no assumptions of what we knew and did not know but told us everything we ever wanted to know and even let my husband get some burner time. Brittney in the ground crew could not have been more awesome. The worked together so well. She was kind, polite and very helpful to us newbies. You could tell that she enjoys her work. The ballooning itself was fantastic but in the end you have to look at the whole experience and that is what we did. Price - Lowest price for any balloon company out of central Texas. Communication - Great, had emails about everything with directions and easy to get a hold of by phone/email also. They take some pictures and videos for you and post them online and they are free to download without watermarks. But also bring your own camera or use you phone for lots of other good photos/videos! Booked 2 weeks out with no problems. I recommend doing the morning flights instead of the afternoon ones like we did. If you want the best pilot ask for Jason. He was super nice and fun to be with. His crew that you meet were also very cool peeps to hang talk and hang with . ** Pro Tips - The take off locations are fields sometimes so the ground might be cold/wet so make sure you bring some shoes that keeps you dry/warm. Also it was kinda cool/cold for us in the morning but 10 mins into the trip with the sun out it got warm/hot so bring easy thin layers that you can take off so your comfortable during the ride. Remember your standing/leaning on the basket for an hour + so be prepared for that if that is a lot on your back or legs. Also, Jason played some light music while we were up there which was nice, so don't be afraid to make a request for any certain songs or make your own playlist of music beforehand to play on the ride. If I could give Rohr Balloons 100 stars, I would. From start to finish Brian and his crew were 1st class all the way. I was looking for a fun and creative way to propose to my girlfriend and I found it with Rohr Balloons. The weather wasn't originally in our favor but Brian knew how important this date was to me and hung in there until the very end of the day where he decided it was safe to fly. We had the most amazing experience. The flight was peaceful and relaxing, the crew layed out a "Will You Marry Me?" sign on the ground as we flew over it and Brian was kind enough to capture the whole memory on video. At the end of the flight we landed next to this beautiful pond where they had a nice white tablecloth set up for us along with champagne, strawberries, and other sweets to choose from. This was an absolute slam-dunk and I highly recommend Rohr Balloons. I chose to pop the question on a hot air balloon and these guys delivered in a big way. They were smooth, discrete, and made a nervous day for me wayyyy easier than it would have been otherwise. We celebrated my aunt's 80th birthday with a hot air balloon ride on 25-Oct-2021. Brian Rohr answered my phone call and put my mind at ease in a couple of minutes about what to expect on my first ride. He picked up my aunt and lifted her gently into the gondola (as he did with another retired lady). He was thorough without being overwhelming with safety instructions and his jokes were appropriate and family friendly. His staff members were also friendly and helpful, including the traditional treats post flight. His narration about sights and history of ballooning were helpful, but not intrusive, as he left plenty of moments to just absorb the view. Today August 25, 2013 my friend Beth and I went up in Brian Rohr's Balloon and had the most wonderful experience. We too went thru a second party to book because I could NOT remember the company name and we paid more than Brain charges BUT this is NOT his fault. We had a great time, met new people, and were home in time to go to church. I give it a TWO THUMBS UP and Brian personally was VERY nice and joked with us all and was a great guy along with his assistants. Perfect Engagement! Brian kept in contact with my fiance's family and I prior to the flight. He met us on time and has a great personality. He clearly loves his job and is very knowledgeable. My fiance was a bit nervous at first but he put her at ease quickly and the flight was perfect. He coordinated the whole event beautifully. My husband and I bought our tickets online/over the phone. Brian and his staff (Jason & Chris) were very friendly and professional. The only problem we had wasn't with Rohr Balloons, it was with the company that booked us. We had scheduled a sunset flight not knowing they didn't operate in the evening during the summer b/c of the hot temperatures. Brian explained to us about everything and was able to fit us in a couple of days later. Our experience was a fantastic one and we will do it again.
