I was extremely disappointed with my order. The chicken tasted and felt like it had been fried the day before, refrigerated, and then refried before being served. I actually owned a chicken restaurant, so I'm very familiar with the difference between freshly fried chicken and refried chicken. The coating was hard and stuck tightly to the meat instead of separating easily, which is a common sign of refried chicken. Even worse, the meat inside was completely dry and tough--more like eating chicken jerky than freshly cooked chicken. It was so dry that I couldn't eat it, and I ended up throwing almost all of it away. When I called the restaurant, they insisted that the chicken was freshly fried. That's what upset me the most. If it had truly been freshly fried, the meat would not have been that dry and hard. I'm not just disappointed with the quality of the food--I'm disappointed that I don't feel I was given an honest answer. I understand mistakes happen, but honesty with customers is just as important as the food itself. Unfortunately, this experience has made me lose trust in this restaurant.
This is really a hidden gem because, unless you know it's inside of the poultry aisle of a Food Bazaar, you'll never find their amazing fried chicken. What I love is that they make each order fresh on the spot. It requires a little patience, but it produces some of the crispiest and juiciest fried chicken around. It could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but my experiences have always been positive. My go to orders are the Classic Boneless 4pcs Combo Meal and the Kimchi Chicken Sandwich. Both always hit the spot. I don't necessarily seek out this spot, but will not hesitate to grab a snack here whenever I drive by or shop for groceries.
The staff were so cool and down to earth. They made my food delicious. The Korean chilli chicken you can't miss them with the big red sign. There's no seating how ever if you're on the go and want some good cream style chicken place. Modern Boulevard cities secret spot.
Came here for a yelp event so when my friend requested wings for Super Bowl Sunday I thought of Rokstar immediately. Super Bowl Sunday is not superbowl without wings. Preordered the family style set #1 the day before. This includes 2 trays of wings. You can pick either 1 or 2 flavors for each tray. The winds are a mixture of flats and drumlettes. No all flats option as everything is premixed. The flavor choices are extensive so I just randomly picked 4 flavors which all ended up yummy. Set comes with fries, onion wings, cole slaw and picked radish. The set basically comes with all the extra sides for the same price as ordering the two trays separately so it's worth it. Fries were a hit and super tasty. Service here is amazing. As you can imagine, they were pretty busy on Super Bowl Sunday. Poor Kevin at the cashier! I had an issue with payment since I ordered the day before but Kevin asked the manager to come out and they were able to cancel my original receipt and print out a new one for the same day. The order is packaged nicely and they also send a reminder text when the order is ready.
Food is always hot and always delicious. I absolutely love how their chicken is seasoned well. Service is great. There is a short wait because each order is prepared fresh for each customer. Although, they are located in Food Bazaar supermarket, Rokstar Chicken does provide seating options for customers who want to sit and eat their food. I am thankful that a YEE introduced me to this business. You will not be disappointed at Rokstar Chicken.
What a neat find inside a grocery store! Whether you're looking to grab food to eat at home or a quick meal while grocery shopping, Rokstar is conveniently located inside the Food Bazaar. I got the Sandwich combo which includes 1 drink and 1 side - the Cajun fries were deliciously seasoned and had the perfect thin cut style and crispiness level. The Sandwich had a large portion of chicken which I was pleasantly surprised by but the seasoning was slightly lacking in the spicy flavor, so I'd recommend getting a spicy sauce on the side if you want more oomph. I was not a fan of the Chili Sauce flavor so I'd like to try other sauces next time.
Found out about Rokstar Chicken via a Yelp elite week and was impressed with the boneless chicken I had to come back for more. Before you even get close to Rokstar Chicken, you will get side-line with all the colorful fruits, produce and sales at Food Bazaar. No worries after placing order at Rokstar Chicken you can shop till you get a text that your order is ready. Great way to shop and dine all at one place. Friendly staff at the counter. She placed the order. Got 2 orders of the classic boneless 5 piece combo meal which comes with a soda too. With the sides- got sweet potato and rice. Sauce was the soy garlic. Meal was $12.99. Debated about getting their chicken sandwich. Will get that the next time. Advice to all- eat the food once it's ready. Pure bliss- crispy crunchy tender chicken. The boneless chicken is seasoned well. Fries was a little soggy cause it was a hike home with traffic however reheated in oven and it was good. Staff was giving out samples of the tender chicken too with two of their sauces. There is seating right by Rokstar Chicken counter. It's like a mini food court area. Music playing as you enjoy your meal.
Yelp was generous to allow us to check out this cool and popular chicken spot. A coworker always raved about this spot and it's been on my to check out list forever. I arrived early on the afternoon and ordered my meal and drink. The staff was very friendly and helped with my order. I had about a 15 minute wait so I walked around the Bravo supermarket and shopped. This was my first time at this location and it is huge. After I finished shopping I picked up my food and headed home to feast. I ordered the original wings with fries and coleslaw. The chicken was delicious. It was crispy and nicely seasoned. The fries were tasty and I truly enjoyed my meal. I would definitely return to check out some other menu items.

Rockstar chicken is flavorful and cooked fresh to order. We love the soy garlic sauce and the onion rings are delicious. I love that I can put in my order, do some grocery shopping, get a text when it's ready to pick up and pay. Great way to multitask and have your lunch or dinner ready for the family. We've always picked up to eat at home. The seating area is open and in the grocery store. Highly recommend you give this place a try.
Seven napkins for five juicy half's of wings. I ordered spicy and asked to have the sauce poured on. Next time I will take the sauce on the side. The truffle fries were warm and delicious. The Cole slaw was just right as it was finely chopped and not overwhelmingly dtippy. The service was attentive once I rung the bell. Service with a smile and he even provided additional napkins to the two in the bag.We are in a supermarket and I was cold like outside. The music played throughout the market was nice. I had on headphones,; but could still enjoy. Seating is available for 16 via three tables of four and two, twotops.

This place is a hidden gem inside of Food Bazzar supermarket. I was put onto them by my family member & I'm so glad she recommended it. It's halal Korean fried chicken. Lots of yummy Korean flavors & spices. I had the chicken kimchi sandwiches, sweet mozzarella balls which, BTW, were fantastic! The honey boneless wings. Their french fries were fresh and delicious as well. Customer service was very good. The gentleman at the register was very attentive & helpful with our large order. They are located inside of the Food Bazaar supermarket all the way back by the freezer section. Ambiance is plain & clean. Couple of tables for you to sit down and enjoy your hot meal. Also restrooms are closeby. read more

Rockstar Chicken has been on my list for a while, and I finally found this little hidden gem inside Food Bazaar. I ordered the Classic Wings Combo (as shown on my receipt), but I was given boneless wings instead, which you can see in the photo. The chicken itself wasn't bad, and I actually really liked the spicy soy garlic BBQ sauce. It had a nice kick and was definitely the highlight of the meal. I just wish they gave more than a tiny container of sauce on the side. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The onion rings were not fresh and were poorly battered. The coating was falling apart, and the onion slices were super thin. I'd skip the onion rings completely. Another thing that annoyed me was that they wouldn't let me substitute the coleslaw for pickled radish, even when I offered to pay extra. That was disappointing! It would be much more "customer friendly" if substitutions were allowed with an up charge cause I was more than happy to pay for swap. The sauce was the only thing that really stood out. Everything else was pretty underwhelming, and I probably wouldn't come back. read more

This food was not that great today. The Korean sweet chili didn't have much flavor, but the boneless chicken itself tasted weird. It straight up tasted like old chicken, like lowkey sour. Didn't taste like this last time. Consistency issues. read more

4.5 Located in the Food Bazaar supermarket, on Douglaston Pkwy, off of the LIE. Parking available. The Rokstar Chicken counter is located towards the rear- middle of the store. Decided to meet up with some family there (bec of the location, close to the highways) and good thing they have seating- a couple of tables for 2, and at least 2 for 4. We ordered at the counter and got a text when ready (although I learned this after I was waiting for my order for a bit). Only one person taking care of orders, he was pleasant and helpful. Got the "full" size of wings- 20pcs, packed in 10s; so 2 containers with sauce-of-choice per container. Preferred hot soy garlic (not too spicy for me so I bought an extra container at $2 something). I ok'd a side of radish but they forgot to pack in our bag. Price is higher than other korean chicken places we've had. The 3-pc tenders combo meal has large pcs of chicken, and comes with a side (picked fries) and coleslaw and a drink. The kids meal has 2 tenders, choice between fries and potato fries (generous amount) and only apple juice. Felt a bit chilly in there so didn't take off my jacket while eating. This location is conveniently located in the Food Bazaar food market, which is cool because you can get groceries while waiting for food and there were even international groceries which was interesting. There is also easy indoor seating and a pretty clean bathroom right next to the stall. There is also easy free parking in the parking lot. The Cajun fries were pretty good. The chicken strips were spicy but a little dry in my opinion. The combo meal is a good value $13 for chicken, fries, and a drink. The woman who helped me was friendly and warned me against the sweet potato fries if I didn't want very sweet because they come with honey which I appreciated. read more

Thank you Yelp for the Rokstar Meal. Well I would like to say I love Fairway which is now Food Bazaar where Rokstar Chicken is at on Douglaston Parkway. I did the review the same day I went. Don't know why it didn't post. AnyAnyway here we go. I walked in Food Bazaar and arrived at the counter of Rokstar abd looked around, like where is everybody. I asked the nice pleasant guy behind the counter where is everyone. Are they in another room? He looked at me, like what are you talking about. Of all the fast food styles of fried chicken. I'd have to say this place hits the spots. If you're into that sweet + savory kind of deal. It's also located at an unexpected food bazzar supermarket! Which is a bonus! Cause you can get your grocery shopping done and dinner in a pinch! They understood when you do boneless chicken. It's dark meat. YES! Dark meat! You have no idea how many times I've ordered boneless wings....and its just chicken breast. I know it sounds childish but if its called boneless wings it should be boneless wings! What to recommend? I'd have to say everything i've eaten is top notch. If you ever had a chicken burger at MD, BK, Wendy's etc. You'll know the difference in levels of what a real chicken burger suppose to look like! Especially with their Korean Jalapeno Mayo! The wings are also good with variety of sauces on the side or tossed. read more

The food is so amazing there. My favorite fried chicken spot. It always hits the spot. I did a large order for my church and they delivered! The service was amazing as the cashiers made sure our order was correct and were so kind and nice. As soon as you walk in the mood is so welcoming. I love the ambiance of the place as it makes you feel at home and like family. I highly recommend this location. Great food but wonderful staff makes this place 5 stars and above. read more

I ordered one order of Classic Wings 5pcs Combo Meals tossed in sweet chili and another tossed in soy sauce. It took about 15-20 min, but it was delicious. Next time I would get the sauce on the side instead of tossed because it's very rich in flavor. It overpowers the fried chicken. I gotta say they can cook fried chicken here. They have dining tables so you can eat the food if you want it hot and fresh. The onion rings, fries and cole slaw are decent. read more
On Father's Day, I ordered fried chicken and took advantage of the BOGO deal on UberEats of beef and vegetable dumplings. I ordered soy garlic sauce and ranch. The order came with pickled radish. When the order arrived, we loved the packaging. Everything was fresh, and guests came in early. Therefore, I am thankful that the chicken and dumplings were still crispy. This is my go-to spot for my fried chicken combo fix. read more
As a huge, KFC lover, Rokstar Chicken failed on several levels. I ordered this for my husband and I for our date night. I have to say that this meal was horrible. It was lackluster. There was no flavor at all. I don't understand how you can ruin chicken. I ordered Half Tenders with Soy Garlic BBQ, Chicken Sandwich with Korean Jalapeño Mayo, Large Sweet Potatoes, Large Cajun Garlic Onion Rings, as well as Fried Beef & Veggie Dumplings. Got the classic 5 piece boneless chicken with the Korean sweet chili sauce. Came with one side, coleslaw and drink. The chicken was perfectly cooked and it was juicy. Took about 15 minutes for the food but it was worth the wait. Rokstar is in a huge grocery store. A few tables. Will be back in the future. read more

I'm a big fan of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and Rokstar Chicken does not disappoint. I saw a video from a fellow instagrammer and I had to try the food here. I did see something in the post about a supermarket. I ignored that part of the caption until heading to get some food. Rokstar is located inside of a really large popular supermarket called Food Bazaar. I think this works because Food Bazaar is an international market and I'm totally a fan of grabbing something to eat while you shop. When you arrive at the supermarket you'll see visible signs of where to walk so you'll easily find Rokstar. There are seats available and a sort of pop-up window for you to order. The prices here are great. You can get a meal (chicken/fries/rice or salad) for under $12. And the portions are pretty big so you'll definitely be full. You can get a chicken sandwich, boneless wings or bone-in wings. The variety of sauces are a draw as well. Be sure to mix sauces if you plan on ordering wings. As far as transportation goes, this is definitely some place you'll need a car to get to. You'll find plenty of parking if you do drive here since the shared space is the supermarket. Here's what I ordered (I suggest it all btw): Kimchi dumplings, Crispy chicken sandwich, bone-in traditional korean fried chicken with hot soy garlic sauce on the side and an order of the boneless chicken with sweet chili sauce. BLUF: A decent choice for those in the area; convenient for those shopping at Food Bazaar. Rokstar Chicken is a food stall located inside Food Bazaar Supermarket at Douglaston Plaza. Rokstar offers made-to-order Korean fried chicken in a variety of different flavors, with those flavors coming either as a dip, or "tossed" onto the fried chicken as it is made. We tried a half order of chicken wings (i.e., 10 wings), and some Cajun Garlic fries. The chicken was good but lacked lightness to its fry. The fries were tasty but seemed reheated a few times. The accompanying cubed radish side lacked acidity. Be sure to visit the Rokstar's Yelp page to learn about their latest promotions before visiting Rokstar Chicken itself. A few tables of four seats each are available for those considering dining in. These tables are shared with the other food stalls inside the supermarket. Food Bazaar has adequately maintained men's and women's bathrooms. read more
