Eel don and Sweet Potato Fries
    Sarah Y.

Visited on a whim and ordered the Eel- don and the sweet potato fries. I know, I know - they mostly do chicken and boba but we weren't in the mood for it. BTW: It's a no frills takeout place with limited seating. Regardless, they had good service and the food actually looked like the picture on the menu. The sweet potato fries were crispy but not burnt, they seemed to sprinkle some kind of sweet powder on top to make it even better. The eel don was what I would've expected it to be on any place that sold it, and thankfully so. My kid enjoyed it immensely; saw other families doing takeout for their kids too.

My partner and I took a long walk to reach this location and honestly, it was so worth it! The chicken katsudon was crunchy, and the sweet potato fries were super crispy! So delicious!

They changed the tables inside which is nice and their packaging is sooo cute! Friendly and fast customer service. Love their takoyaki.

Really really dry and chewy meat (both chicken and pork)
    Viv L.

I had to write a review because the meat was so dry and tough that it felt like I was eating jerky. I've never had pork belly taste so dry and stringy. pork belly is supposed to be fatty, so it's almost impossible to ruin it. The fried chicken was super tough and hard to chew. The meat just is not fresh. The color was much darker than it should have been. I hate to leave such a bad review, but I hope no one else gets such a bad meal. I'm not sure how this spot got four stars and I hope the establishment tries harder, but this ruined my dinner.

Food was good and service was good ... I ordered the Mango Foam Cheese drink and soy garlic chicken ... delicious I didn't read the details of the menu and thought it came with fries when I first opened the box but saw there were fried rice cakes which were surprisingly good Also cute takeout bag and food packaging is a plus!

Shin-Chan fans will love the decor here. The walls are adorned with images from the Animated series. Too cute. I stopped in for a quick drink and some fries to go. Definitely will return to try the fried chicken; nice variety offered but it's too hot today (98 degrees in August). They have so many choices of sauces: honey mustard, soy garlic, buffalo, grandma, jalapeno mayo, and sweet chili just to name a few. There's plenty more to choose from. Chicken wings, tenders (not nuggets despite the photo), popcorn chicken, skewers and rice bowls (think katsu) on the menu. There's fried calamari, fried shrimp, and even takoyaki.

While killing some time, the kids and I dropped into Dango Chicken & Tea for some snacks. Ambience - a dimly lit bubble tea shop. No frills except for some cartoonish characters painted on the walls. Food: we ordered Dango Matcha Matcha - a green matcha milk tea with whipped cream. Kids seemed to like it 4/5 Chicken Wings - same concept as Buffalo Wild Wings. They fry the wings and toss it in a sauce of your choosing. 3/5 Takoyaki - frozen premade from Costco quality 3/5 Popcorn Chicken - fried dark meat chicken pieces in salt pepper. 4/5 TL/DR: a mom and pop version of Quickly. If you are into bubble tea and fried snacks, this is a good option when you are not in Flushing.

I spontaneously stopped in for bubble tea when I saw the Grand Opening banner, but I was definitely excited to see a robust chicken menu. I'll be back for that! The bubble tea menu isn't the largest in the area, but there are some unique combinations. I splurged for their family tea, which included brown sugar and cream. So decadent (though not overkill, thankfully). The phone rang a few times when I was waiting, so I bet their delivery and pickup game is strong. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Great fried chicken in little neck! The batter is cooked to the point where it's crispy / flaky but the meat is still juicy and tender. The lemon pepper and grandma flavors are amazing, I've come here a few times now and grabbed a 6 piece and have left satisfied. Recommend placing an order in advance otherwise you may have to wait 10-15 minutes for your order to complete.

WOW fried chicken , I love their popcorn chicken it is sooo good. The popcorn chicken is super crispy. The staff is very nice and friendly. I like their boba a lot you can alternate the sugar. I don't like it too sweet. You can let her know! They have a lot of options on their menu. Next time I come I hope their taiyaki isn't sold out. It's a boba taiyaki and they have other flavors. I really want to try it. I went 2 times already and it was sold out. I had the pineapple taiyaki it was good. Not too sweet and it's so cute.

Glad to have a casual fried chicken and bubble tea spot in the neighborhood now! The popcorn chicken was delicious and crispy (though I wish it came with a sauce). I ordered two drinks: white peach jasmine green tea and a pearl black tea. Both tasted good and tasted comparatively to the main bubble tea chains like Mogee or Coco's. They seem to still be getting comfortable with juggling orders and making the drinks, but they were super nice and attentive! I would definitely come here again! They have a few seats and tables and a parking lot for your convenience :)

Undercooked boba, still crunch in the middle. Asked for 50% sweetness because otherwise all you taste is sugar and they couldn't do that.

Love the fried chicken! However, the mango drink which was $6 had too much ice and the drink became watery and tasteless.

Every piece is so unbelievably fresh that you develop a level of trust that's hard to find anywhere else. After eating here, most sushi just doesn't compare. The salmon, in particular, is unreal. It practically melts in your mouth like butter, and you can tell every piece is prepared with an incredible amount of care. I'm not exaggerating when I say you haven't truly experienced salmon sushi until you've had it at Torigo. What I love most is that it feels authentic. They're not trying to hide mediocre fish behind heavy sauces or trendy rolls, the quality of the ingredients speaks for itself. It's been a while since I've returned so when I was given a choice, this was and still is, my go to place when I'm nearby. This visit - lots of sushi on my mind. I ordered the chirashi bowl as my entree and a la carte, sea urchin sushi. Today the Hokaiddo uni was available so I splurged and got it. The California uni was available too but given the option, Hokaiddo is the way to go! The Chirashi is a beautiful bowl of fresh sushi - given my allergy to shrimp, I asked for a substitute piece of fish. They accommodated without an issue. The tuna, salmon, and mackerel was outstanding - so fresh! The octopus, yellowtail and tamago were perfect. I enjoyed this very much... Couldn't finish the rice. The bowl is a great deal and value. For starters, my friend and I enjoyed the lightly fried soft shell crab. It was simply divine - great crunch and a soft shell indeed. The optional scallion and dipping sauce isn't really needed but available. So good! It was super fresh. My friend ordered the Black Cod Bento box. Rice bowl comes on the side. These bento boxes are the best deal: comes with gyoza, fried tofu, edamame seaweed salad, wasabi salt, cucumber salad, both shrimp and vegetable tempura (even eggplant!) and the cod was sitting on top of some sauteed string beans. Both of our dinners came with a choice of house salad or miso soup. I recommended the salad because the dressing is fantastic here - citrusy and light ginger I think, with a bright orange color appeal. The complimentary noodles as a palate starter was also fantastic. There is a parking lot in the rear but I've often found spots easily on the street (metered parking but free after 7pm on the weekdays).

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I honestly wasn't expecting much but the service based solely for the Omakase blew me away. The Omakase bar was in the back of the restaurant hidden away. The space was very open and the ambience was chic. This is a great place for date night, mommy night out, or group hangouts as they have private rooms too. Every piece tasted very fresh and were quite unique. The steam silky egg appetizer with crabmeat and fish roe was simple yet delicious. One of the dishes was an uni toro roll that was placed on top of our hands and was sprayed with edible gold glitter on us. That was a surprise and it was cute. And that uni just melts in your mouth. We had this matcha pudding with I think had an Oreo sprinkle in it was fabulous. They also surprised us with an extra dessert cause it was all 3 of our birthdays. Very enjoyable experience. Our sushi chef was very accommodating and made our birthday dinner memorable. We originally started out with the summer special of $78pp for a 12 course meal and decided to upgrade to the 14 course meal for $98pp. There was an option for a 17 course meal for $138pp but we were very full towards the end. They also had this $30 lunch and $60 dinner 3 course meal set for restaurant week. My friend's mom wasn't a fan of raw stuff so she ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto and she wasn't a huge fan of it. The fish was a tad overcooked and the overall presentation of the dish looked more of a Chinese fusion dish. The risotto had that cheesy flavor but the presentation with the Bok Choy and the risotto looked more like fried rice and was confusing. I would stick with the omakase, which this place is known for.

That was really good, and honestly, that's the main reason I would go back to Nami Sushi. I also tried the California rolls, which were good but nothing particularly different or out of the ordinary. The kani salad, unfortunately, wasn't my favorite. I usually expect yum-yum sauce to already be mixed into kani salad, but it wasn't, so I ended up adding some sauce I had at home, which definitely made it better for me. The service was good. The young lady who helped me was very nice and pleasant. The restaurant itself was very clean. It's a small space with a long, narrow kind of layout, but it still works for what it is. I'd come back for the salmon fried rice, and I'd probably try a few other things on the menu.
