I do NOT recommend anyone to deal with these people. They seem nice in the beginning, but then they turn to really rude and mean people.
We brought them 4 couch pillows last month - 2 small and 2 large once. Robert was there and we wanted to get a price of how much they would charge. He looked at the pillows, mumbled something to himself. Told us that large pillows are hard to get out of the case and kept thinking. So we waited, he mumbled some more of what he can do and finally said he can do it, but gave us 2.5 weeks pick up date. We agreed, but asked if he's able to clean them faster, let us know. We didn't get any phone call, so on the date he originally gave us as date that our pillows will be ready, we went there. They were not ready, he asked for 4 more days. We said okay.
We got a phone call from them 4 days later that pillows are ready and went to pick them up. All of them were bagged in 2 large clear bags tightly sealed. When we opened bags at home and placed pillows on the couch, immediately noticed that something is wrong. It turned out that there were plastic bags inside each cover. I took everything back to the Cleaners thinking they just forgot to remove them. Robert was not nice to me this time. In the really mean way he said, "I told you that's what I was going to do and you agreed to it!". Sorry, but I don't recall that at all and neither is my husband. Robert kept going further and said that his hands still hurt after dealing with our pillows and that he has arthritis and to be happy he cleaned it for us! WHAT???? I'm sorry, we paid you money for your services and if you are not able to do it, then you shouldn't take it. We would gladly go to any other Cleaners with our pillows, just decided to give local shop some business. He told me to remove plastic ourselves since his hands hurt. His wife was there so I asked if she can remove it. She said "No!". I took our pillows and went home feeling disturbed after all of this. Me and my husband had to stick our hands inside each pillowcase and rip pieces of plastic out until all of it was gone. I was so glad it's all over! I went to put pillows on the couch and then realized that Robert put one of the small pillows wrong way and I cannot attach it to the couch (those are placed with a zipper). We took that pillow back and explained what happened. He took it back calmly and said that he'll fix it tomorrow. So today, I got a phone call from him at 8:50 a.m. where he is screaming at me that I took plastic out and then put pillow inside wrong way! Excuse me, I did not touch it, we only removed plastic that was inside. I tried to explain that to him, but he kept insisting that he did everything correctly and we messed it up. Then he gave phone to his wife which continues SCREAMING at me! I kept suggesting "let's talk calmly, I don't want to argue with you", but she kept yelling that I'm disturbing her husband and that he has a heart condition. Well, I believe I'm the one disturbed, not them. Not to mention that you're calling me while I'm at work and screaming at me. She continued to say that he did us a FAVOR by taking our pillows to clean. EXCUSE ME, WHAT FAVOR? He told us he can do this job and we paid money for cleaning. This is not favor and if he couldn't do it (due to arthritis or other reasons), then he should've told us. Lady kept screaming at me that we knew he is doing us a favor and that he told us that when he accepted our pillows. I told her that's not true and she doesn't know that because she wasn't there at that time.
What kind of customer service is that? OMG! It's been an hour after that phone call, but I'm still shaking.
To pay money, wait 3 weeks to get your stuff back, be forced to rip plastic bags that he placed inside each pillow cover and then go through this?
I'm sorry to say, but as a service provider, you need to be more flexible, listen to your customers and talk nicely to them. It's not our fault that he has certain medical conditions, but if you accept work, you need to complete it and do everything correctly.
When I took these pillows to other cleaners 2 years ago, I had absolutely NO issues! They accepted them with no hesitation, cleaned them and I got everything back in the right way with NO plastic bags inside!
While I'm typing this review, I got another phone call but from a different phone number than an hour ago. When I answered, it was Robert calling me. He said, "I'm sorry for what happened this morning, your pillow is ready, you just need to remove plastic inside".
Well I'm glad he realized that you cannot talk to your customers like that and scream at them. Honestly, I have not seen this kind of customer service in 20+ years and will never be back to this local shop. read more
