Beware of an alteration person here Ruth. I had two suits to wear to a very important business conference. She measured me and I picked them up. I didn't have time to try them before the event but they were still way TOO Big. When I went back to have them adjusted she threw a complete fit. She started pinning one of the pieces and when I told her I wouldn't be paying for this I already paid $219 she starting taking the pins out and saying I'm not going to work for free. I already paid $219 for a shitty job that I had to wear at a conference with 200 people and you expect me to pay more after you did a horrible job. She was raising her voice and shouting at me. This person needs to be fired. Everyone else there is extremely nice but I am going to take my business elsewhere just so I don't have to see this person again. read more

I always ask specifically for Orlando to handle my clothes bcuz of the accountability I want to hold someone too bcuz generally all the clothes I dry clean are expensive. I dropped off a Balenciaga tee and some Gallery Dept. sweats only to come bac to a completely bleached tee shirt and sweats smh then they didn't even tell me, I got home and was hanging the clothes up and noticed. This is LONG overdue, but I absolutely love Rite Cleaners and have been having my clothes cleaned there for years. This spring, I had a dress altered for a party and when I went to pick it up on the day of the event, they were closed (insert palm to forehead emoji here, because I arrived an hour after closing time). It was a prom themed party and I'm a grown up so I couldn't just opt for another dress. I needed the one that was locked in Rite's. After sending a DM on IG and calling the number listed, no luck. I had my make-up applied and while in the chair received a call back -the owner's son was on his way to the store -basically he saved the day! This is one instance, but they constantly go above and beyond and have been able to tailor items for me at the last minute. I found it disappointing that they would not honor their own coupons. Yes, they are on the lower end of pricing in comparison to many other cleaners, but don't print coupons (with no expiration dates) that you aren't willing to honor. I love local businesses but I told the owner they burned and left a horrible smell on my clothes and he said he wouldn't do it again and he did on clothes worth $500 a shirt and I'm truly upset with this care. Some guy with a black t-shirt and black hair acts like he owns the place... but he clearly doesn't lol He's rude to everyone and he's lost a customer that lives right by today. They are incredible with alterations, the woman who does them is AMAZING and HONEST she will tell you what won't work on certain fabrics, what the end result will look like. Her alterations are beautifully done. If you need something in a rush they can get it done. I needed a shirt pressed asap and they did it in less than 5 minutes. I (Karl Widman) just left Rite Cleaners in Woodland Hills. A week back I canceled an order of $119 for dry cleaning and repair of lab coats. I called the store an hour after having been there and it worked fine as the order wasn't processed yet. Later when I came in, in person, I asked owner, or manager, to do the repair but cancel the more expensive dry cleaning. The coats are 15 bucks each - that's why. The repair was 47 bucks, so worth the effort. I was to have a refund of 72, the cost of the dry cleaning. When i came in 10 minutes ago he wanted to refund me 24 bucks. He said the deal was to dry clean them to but slightly cheaper price even though i explicitly asked him not to clean them because of the low price tag of the coats. Rite Cleaner has been only been great every time i've been there. This time I feel cheated. During my initial phone call I explained in detail why cleaning was out of the question, and later the cleaning was done anyway under a the pretence that we had some sort of deal. They could have passed on the cleaning and given me back the full refund of 72 which I asked for from the beginning. Instead they decided to charge me for something i didn't ask for. As far as I am concerned Rite Cleaners owe me $ 48. Rite Cleaner bought this review. read more

When I was first recommended this place by my neighbor to get my bridesmaid's dress tailored, I thought it was a bad idea... shouldn't I go to a "tailor" to get the dress "tailored." Orlando is the guy that works there who was super helpful and friendly, so I have nothing bad to say about the customer service he provided. But my dress, and my mother's dress (who is the mother of the bride), both came out HORRIBLE, especially for the money we paid.... $100 to SHORTEN my dress and $20 for a small zipper adjustment. The tailor and owner both were unhelpful with this entire situation. Even after the owner saw what happened he just said "sorry"... I'm sorry Orlando has to work for such a bad business.
