Under New Ownership. Poor communication dropped off 19 items and when I went to pick them up I received 16. They claimed to have miss counted at drop off yet I always count items at drop off with them. They could have called me and I would have remembered the items I dropped off when they realized items were missing VS them just pretending we miss counted because now I don't even remember what 3 items are missing because I normally drop off a lot of items. Aside from that the items that did get returned you can tell they just steamed them and did not wash. Their prices also went up under this new ownership and the quality is just not there. I'm not a confrontational person I'll take the loss on my 3 items. Need to find a new cleaners. read more

Avoid this place. They will lose your clothes and deny it. After being a weekly customer and spending multiple thousands of dollars over a couple of years, I dropped off two bags of dry cleaning after returning from a trip. They only returned half of the clothes I dropped off. When I asked about the rest, my favorite pair of jeans, two expensive sport coats and more, they claimed I never gave it to them, only dropped off one bag of clothes, and that it was my problem. So much for being a regular and loyal customer. The way they denied it all and accused me of never bringing the clothes in was disgusting. I'll be filing a small claims action now. So upsetting!! Find another cleaner or you'll be sorry! Update: They called back to say they found the clothes and apologized. BUT, it's too little too late. They should not have talked to me the way they did, accused me of not bringing in the clothes, or tell me that it was my problem to deal with. They should have looked for and found my clothes before they basically accused me of being a liar. Will not be going back. read more

I like this dry cleaning shop. I've done a lot of dry cleaning and they've removed all the stains and wrapped every pearl button in my silk blouse to keep the pearls from getting scratched. I also mended my husband's pants and jacket. Their mending skills were excellent. They are always very kind. I highly recommend this place. read more

Ok, I don't write on yelp reviews often but after coming to this dry cleaners for so long receiving exceptional service and quality dry cleaning, I just saw a customer complain about something that is entirely not the cleaner's fault, and threatening them to write a bad review, and it just didn't float my boat. They are very friendly and they know almost every customer's name by heart. It's a family owned business where they enjoy their job and are friendly to all (literally). The cleaners is huge too so you can be the judge if they are professional or not. But I advise that if you need dry cleaning or some other sort of clothing adjustment, this is the place to be. A review WAY OVER DUE! I don't have much dry cleaning and I was looking for a good place. It been years since I had used Esprit cleaning services. I took two small pieces. One a bomber jacket and second a velvet blazer. At the time of cleaning I had no use of pieces. But when I went to put on both jackets had shrunk. The sleeves were short and so was the jackets. I went in person to advise and the young lady just said sorry and really couldn't or did not want to communicate with me. As she did not speak English. Excellent customer service and they always put in extra effort. A few of my buttons were loose and another time my pants' hook thingie was hanging off. They fixed it for me quietly as a service, I just noticed once I was at home. Totally unexpected and very appreciated! Personally haven't seen any changes in the prices pre or post covid. As small businesses are all suffering right now, I'm happy to be able to provide some business for them. The family who owns it is so kind and personable. They always greet me with a big smile and are so complimentary and genuine. I've been coming to Esprit cleaners for a few years now. They've recently had a new management change. At first, their service was a bit shaky, but after a couple of months now, it looks like they got the hang of it and service improved quite a bit. I got a chance to talk to the owner who works there and he came off being a pretty nice guy. It seems like there was initially some mix-up between his method and the old system which caused some of the problem, but it looks like they got most of the kinks worked out now. Service wise... I got my clothes back with even the small spots completely removed. A very good attention to detail, that I've seen other cleaners (and me too I admit) miss. Kudos. As for price, I would say it's competitive. It's in the range of what you would expect. I've seen some places a bit cheaper, some places a bit more expensive. Overall, I would say that if the new owners keep up the current level of work, I'll keep dropping off clothes here years down the line. read more

I can't believe no one's written a review for this place. It's such a great cleaners! And it's been around forever. I think my family and I have been coming here for over 15 years. I love go to this cleaners because the ladies who work here are so sweet. Sometimes they do get backed up with customers and you have to wait, but I don't mind because they are concerned about the quality of their service. And they go out of their way to help you out when they can. One time my mom stopped by 15 minutes after they closed, but they were kind enough to open up and let her pick up her clothes. I have been frequenting this place for over 20 years. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The dry cleaning machines they use are state of the art and are as "green" as they get these days. No more chemical smells! All "laundry" (not dry cleaning) is sourced out - but both services for a great job in cleaning, stain-cleaning, and pressing my laundry. They now have automated machines at the front desks to handle incoming clothes. But even prior to these cool machines, they have never lost a single article of clothing. You must pay in advance for all laundry and dry cleaning. Make sure you look in the Pennysaver for a coupon for a discount on certain services - it will save you a bundle. The parking lot is a little small at times and can be crowded because it is shared by a few of the other local businesses. I always enter from the north side behind the bike shop via the alley way. This makes parking a bit easier and the exit even quicker for me. read more

I don't know how I have gone this long without reviewing this place. I don't drop off dry cleaning too often. Once every couple of months. I have also dropped off items for alterations and mending. The prices are not bad. Not the cheapest definitely not the most expensive but always consistent. There is another local dry cleaner in my work shopping center and I have seen them repeatedly take advantage of people when pricing items hoping they won't notice the difference. I have used this cleaners several times since moving into West Hills. I had several good experiences until July of 2013. After taking a men's suit in for cleaning I noticed a large stain on the right sleeve the next time I went to wear it. I took it back and they cleaned it again. When I picked it up the stain was still there. I spoke with the owner, Frederick Lee, but after just a statement or two from me he responded with an aggressive attitude and approach. I told him I wasn't interested in arguing, but seeing how it could be fixed. He wouldn't calm down to have a legitimate conversation so I left realizing there were other cleaners in West Hills that I could use. I would suggest one of those. When we confronted them with the overcharge they agreed that they overcharged us but had no way to fix the problem. I have been going to this cleaners for over 20 years. Never had a problem with prices. I recommend them to everyone that asks for a good reasonable cleaners. They were always fair. Well, as of today I have a problem with the prices. On 2 previous occasions I paid $10.00 to have a long coat sweater cleaned. Today she said it was 13.95. I said why? She said she had to clean it more and that it was a long sweater. I said, just a couple of months ago it was 10.00. She said, I charge more because I have to clean more. I pointed out that the cuffs and collar were dirty. The cuffs and collar was dirty the last two times. I should have taken it back and left but I paid the money because I need the sweater. I took in a pair of pants with no stains, and it came back with a 6 inch streak of plastic imbedded on the leg. The owner was there and insisted it wasn't them. He chewed out the counter girl (don't know her name but she's been there a while) right in front of me and totally embarrased her. I was so upset, I was ready to slap his face for being so rude. I trust this place with everything I own! They are family run and take pride in their work. I can see what a couple of the reviewers are talking about with service, but I've noticed that sometimes they are just worn out. It's not personal, they just get tired like everyone else...I've never seen anyone work there that wasn't family and I've been going a couple months now. I'm not taking a star off for that because as long as you inspect your clothes before you leave, they will redo whatever you see that didn't get cleaned properly-and it's rarely needed. And you can't beat their prices. They always try to launder my stuff instead of dry clean if I ask and I am really happy with the quality. I'd prefer a couple mistakes here and there to a dry cleaner that charges you an arm and a leg and doesn't redo for free. Also, they note things like if you like pleats in the pants, etc. great personal touch! read more
