Why not write a review for this place. I went to this particular store a while back and was "lucky" enough to have a SA available to talk to. I mentioned I was interested in a watch to celebrate the soon to be birth of my first son. The SA lady didn't seem at all interested and almost like I was wasting her time. Never did she offer to let me try on any of the watches, even though I expressed interest in some of their "exhibition" pieces. At the end, I ended up registering for the piece I wanted, but I'm almost positive I'll never get a call from here. The cold shoulder was a good enough indication of that. Love the watches. I was escorted to a private room where he showed me the watches I requested. I was able to try them on to see how they looked on my wrist. He also brought me a watch that wasn't on my radar. I ended up purchasing the watch he suggested, because it fit be better that some of the smaller watches. Update: Well Rolex Bucherer does not disappoint. At being disappointing. We were invited by the Bucherer Customer Service Manager to talk about our experience and boy was that some of the worst interactions I'd ever experience with what was supposed to be top customer service person at the store. If you think the sales people are bad you should have a sit down with the Manager. He was half assed in his apologies and took more of a defensive role in making excuses to why our encounter was so bad. Instead of listening he just spouted excuses one after another. Oh our guards are contracted, oh this particular sales rep is not good with technology, oh we had corporate training, etc. As a customer I really don't care about excuses, he could of just said thank you for your feed back and I'll have a talk with my staff. Must be wondering why I even bothered going back? Well I have no problem speaking to people in person at their invitation, his response email was exactly the tone he spoke to us in. I just wanted to hear him out and it went exactly as I expected, passive aggressive attitude and him speaking as we were underneath him. Just for kicks we asked him to reconfigure the watch to what we wanted. He did it on his ipad and asked if we wanted to change sales persons? He said that most of his sales people were already working with clients and see who would be willing to take us on (did you catch that?). Most reps already have clients they remember so if you're one of the unmemorable ones guess you go into the imaginary waitlist for however long. Out of all the reps that were standing there no one was willing to take us on as customers except the new guy. He was nice and asked us what configurations we wanted (again). I would've thought the manager would have relayed it to him now I'm 100% convinced that they aren't serious in helping us get a watch. Surely if you piss off the manager you aren't getting a watch from this store. Don't care, they need us more than we need them, there are hundreds of other authorized dealers all around. We tried on watches anyways and when I sat there looking at this Rolex on my wrist, I thought of all the bullshit I had to go through, I realized it was just a watch. The shine of Rolex disappeared and it was just a chunk of metal on my wrist that wasn't even exciting anymore. As someone stated in their post a Timex or Casio does the same job if not better. At the price point you are paying for these watches you should be receiving phenomenal customer service. Which I'm willing to pay for as it SHOULD be part of the whole luxury watch experience. Instead you are met with sales people who think of you as their lowers, get shoved in the "you might get one list". One thing for sure is I will NEVER set foot or purchase from this store ever. I don't care if you call me tomorrow and say you have my watch in stock. I refuse to pay one cent towards any of these peoples salary. read more

Customer service was abysmal. First the rent a cop at the door practically body blocked us before getting the 'nod' to let us in. The woman helping us felt like she was doing us a favor by gracing us with her presence. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable and wholly judged. She slightly thawed when I had a working knowledge of the watches we were looking at. I shouldn't have to be decked out in designer jewels and handbags for gracious service. None of the watches are even available for purchase but you can get on a wait list. There's no timeline just when they 'become available'. This place is hit and miss, with misses happening more than hits. If you want to be judged and looked down on, do come here. I was on the waitlist for a certain watch for three years and they finally found the watch I was looking for after walking in and complaining. I had to wait. I was also on a waitlist for another watch over three years and never found it. By chance I went to a sister store up north where they had what I was looking for. They never have inventory and always tell you to put your name on a waitlist, but they never call you back. I think it's time to move on and buy a Casio or a Timex as my Rolex's that I want now may never come in; especially with this place. Go anywhere else just don't visit the store and if you do, you've been warned, expect a horrible experience. Walked into the store on a random afternoon and was looking into getting a Submariner no date for a birthday gift. Was assisted by Juan Moreno, who had great customer service and was very respectful. Notified me that there's no inventory currently aside from a few yellow gold pieces but he can put me on a waitlist when it does become available. I checked out a few more watches in the store and that's when we walked past the Yachtmaster RG 40, I mentioned how much I loved the watch and always wanted one. He told me to wait for a little bit while he checked in the back if it's available and it was! I picked it up that day and absolutely love the watch. Since I was picking up something at South Coast Plaza and I hadn't been here since December, I decided to stop by and see if Tian was working (see my previous review). Unfortunately, she wasn't. But a nice lady by the name of Cristina approached me right away. I told her that Tian put me on their "client list" for a Submariner. Right away she asked me if I wanted to try it on again, so why not. But, I knew because of their business model (changed i think around 2020) they weren't going to sell it to me, so this will probably the last time I come in here unless they call me. The way Rolex sells their watches now (especially the high demand ones) is similar to the way Hermes bags and Super Bowl tickets are sold. The Rolex store itself is allocated VERY few watches to sell, so its very highly unlikely you'll be able to buy a watch at the store itself especially at face value. What Rolex did, is they sold their watches to Authorized Dealers (probably at a high markup) and in turn, the Authorized Dealers turns around sell them to consumers at an even higher markup. For example, the Submariner with the date is $10,500 at the Rolex boutique store but they never have any on site to sell. BUT, you can go to an Authorized Dealer and if they have it, it will go for anywhere from $13,500 to $15,000 (I've seen), which in no way I will pay that. So, if you're in the market for a Rolex, you can try the store itself first (might be a waste of time) and put your name on the "client list" but if you want it faster, you'll most likely have to go through an AD and pay a lot more. I was shopping at South Coast Plaza with a friend and they encouraged me to visit the Rolex boutique after I told them that I've been too intimidated to step into a store to browse. (My Rolex that I own was purchased from a 3rd party so I never had the full in store experience and as I was in search for a new one, so I was really excited to finally be in store in the states). After some additional browsing from other stores we made our last pit stop at Rolex. I saw that the huge line prior was gone so I gently asked the security guard there if they accepted walk ins or was this an appointment only boutique? He rudely responded to me by saying "Wait your turn!" And brushed me off without even looking at me or any further acknowledgment from that point on. I kind of was confused by that interaction and just kind of stepped to the side and stood there next to the display window as I saw other customers prior doing the same. A few moments later an older couple in their mid 40s early 50s approached the store front in which he greeted them with a smile and told them to wait to the side in front of me. When the next sales associate was available they were let in before me. I was genuinely confused and wondered what made it that I was treated so poorly and not respected as a customer. There was no communication from staff and I felt like we were just sidelined for no reason. Wish the experience was better but it is what it is now. read more

I had an amazing experience with Sara here at south coast plaza. I had walked in several months ago to treat myself for my 30th birthday and buy myself my very first Rolex. Unfortunately, she didn't have the exact watch I wanted, but she was super professional and welcoming to let me know that I will get it soon, and that it's only a matter of time. I was patient and to my surprise she gave me a call months later. When I got into the store (again), she welcomed me with coffee, water and chocolates. Have owned and purchased various watches over the last 20 yrs, but mostly through the gray market. All my previous rolex purchases have been via gray market dealers across the country. But coming up on my 50th birthday in 2026 - I decided to get my name on the "list" at the local AD with the hopes something happens next year. Made an appointment online which was very easy, but didn't get any confirmation. So I gave them a call, and they confirmed an appointment quickly. Went in on a Friday afternoon and walked in with ease. Was directed to the bar, offered a drink and told my client advisor would be with me shortly. Within 2-3 mins, I was called over by Juan - who asked some initial questions about what I'm looking for, etc. Juan brought out a few models to try on, directed me to various mirrors to see angles - but I've owned, worn enough watches to know what I like and what works for me. Juan was very straightforward on what was realistic and what models actually had a chance. Juan was very knowledgeable on the various models and shared insights without adding his own likes and biases, which was nice. (It didn't feel like he was steering me in any direction and let me do my own discovery and questions.) Ultimately he took my information and my 2 top choices and recorded it into their system. I didn't need a ton of time, but never felt rushed or as if they were trying to get me out of there. It felt like Juan set reasonable expectations despite not giving any timelines, which I knew would be the likely outcome. While it's possible that it may be a while or I may never get the call from them on a allocation, the overall experience was professional, comfortable and represented the Rolex brand well.
