Top knotch, excellent rescue. Sarah Cole is a cat rescue veteran, smart as a whip, and knows every…read moresingle cat in her rescue like the back of her hand and their needs. I can't rave more about what a professional Sarah is. As a bonus, people can text Sarah anything and she responds within minutes. She is one of the most professional people I've ever dealt with. She literally works 24/7, non-stop, with this rescue and it's her passion for saving cats lives and finding them homes that drives her, not money. All 4 the Love of Cats is a first-rate model rescue in that you are going through an actual process to ascertain that the cat(s) is a right fit to become your forever family member. You will be given lots of questions because they want to guarantee you're going to be the right fit for the cat so the cat doesn't end up getting returned as unfortunately, this is an issue that all rescues are dealing with. I'm so proud to support a local rescue like All 4 the Love of Cats where they have high standards, are always on call, and have built years worth of great relationships with veterinarians in the community. Help Cats & Come Play with Them! Want to play with cats, volunteer to help socialize and clean them, or are thinking about adoption? Come visit All 4 the Love of Cats in one of their 4 locations! It is like a Cat Disney World. All 4 the Love of Cats is a non-profit, no-kill 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rescue which relies on tax-deductible donations and places stray and abandoned cats and kittens and are rescued from animal control. Operated from 4 locations: The Niles Petsmart, Skokie Petco, Palatine Petco, and Arlington Heights Petco which grants them space for the cats. Volunteer? Volunteers are needed to help clean cages while socializing with the cats. Also, fosters are needed & essential to the functioning of a no-kill rescue. It is a wonderful, fun way to come and visit all of the cats and play with them! Call or text for an appointment to interact with the cats at 847-302-6410. http://www.all4theloveofcats.com/

I understand the process of finding the perfect home is crucial for adoption but what's not right is how "SARAH" went about it while contacting me via text message. She clearly has no people skills and was very passive aggressive with me. I do not like how it was handled. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could have a word with her regarding speaking to applicants. I've posted the screenshots so further prove my point. This is unacceptable I should not be talked down on like this. I've been a cat owner since I was 15. I'm 28 now. Why am I being talked to like I own a rabid cat? A4LC you guys really need to train your volunteers to be a little more considerate when speaking to the public.

We technically rescued our dog through here from lambs farm. She is the loml and I wouldn't change…read moreit for the world. She did have problems w aggression initially and while we were able to adjust, I think it would have been beneficial if they told us that before adoption, so we could prepare how to better train her. I think it's important for shelters to be honest about animals behaviors when adopting them out, ik so many need homes, but having honest convos like that will help differentiate between owners who are ready/willing to take care of animals w behavioral issues vs some who may just return them. Owners also need to see adopting animals as like having a kid, cause idk returning an animal is incredibly stressful and even traumatizing for most animals. I don't blame the people, just the system, but as consumers it is our job to be a lot more aware and conscious.

Before reading this review, I want to preface that I would recommend Wright Way Rescue to…read moreexperienced pet owners who know what questions to ask regarding a dog's health, history, and overall care. I would not recommend this facility for first-time pet owners because the adoption process is extremely rushed and can be overwhelming, making it easy to miss important information. As a long time pet owner, my overall experience was decent, but there were several things that raised concerns. The biggest issue was communication. I called, emailed, left voicemails, and even texted the number provided to me with little to no response. It took visiting in person to get my questions answered. To their credit, the facility was extremely busy, and the first employee who helped me was wonderful and ultimately why I chose to adopt through them. One major tip: complete your application online, not on paper. My paper application was never followed up on, and the dog I originally wanted was gone before I heard back. My online application, however, was approved the same day. The day we visited to meet our dog was chaotic. The facility was crowded, loud, and overstimulating for both people and dogs. The check-in process was disorganized, and we waited over 20 minutes just to be told how to join the visitation queue. However, I understand that shelters can be stressful environments, and I appreciated that they required hand washing before interacting with dogs and sanitized the meeting spaces between families. When we met our dog, they appeared healthy, and we were given unlimited time to interact with them. The volunteer assisting us was kind but clearly overwhelmed, and some information she provided did not align with the dog's online profile. The most concerning part came during the adoption paperwork. The volunteer reviewing the dog's file moved very quickly, and I believe a first time owner could easily miss critical details. We were informed at that moment that our dog was currently on medication due to nasal discharge, something that had not been disclosed online or before agreeing to adopt. Given that we had a senior pet at home, this was information I would have appreciated knowing beforehand. I also learned the dog had undergone surgery only days before adoption and had been recovering while housed with several other dogs. Another issue was the pet insurance discussion. I fully support pet insurance, but it was not clearly explained that we were being handed off to a third party representative trying to sell a policy. A first time owner may have felt pressured into signing up immediately without comparing other options. Additionally, some fees lacked transparency. For example, paperwork stated that the dog needed to leave with identification tags, but it was not made clear beforehand that there would be an additional charge for the tag. Despite these concerns, we ultimately adopted our dog and absolutely love them. We have thankfully not experienced serious issues that some other reviewers have mentioned. There are positives worth recognizing: this is a volunteer based rescue, I saw evidence that dogs are walked regularly and not left in kennels all day, their hygiene protocols before handling animals are good, and many of the staff members genuinely care. Overall, my two star rating comes down to poor communication, lack of transparency around health concerns and additional costs, and an adoption process that moves too quickly for someone who may not know what questions to ask. I have empathy for the volunteers and understand they are managing a very busy facility, but better communication and clearer disclosures would significantly improve the experience for future adopters.
