Refinished four rooms and a hallway and also made a recommendation on a stain that did a far superior job of covering up blemishes in the wood. Our choice would have looked horrible. Similarly they also did three rooms in vinyl planking, and directed us to a far superior product that was not much more expensive. Price was good relative to others who gave us quotes, but others did a far worse job of really discussing our needs. You can hire them ​without hesitation or worry.

I chose Harrison at the recommendation of multiple friends who, like me, own a historic home and have strong feelings about craftsmanship, preservation, and quality. Harrison was respectful of the space and kept dust to a minimum. They were professional, adhered to their project timelines, and kept us educated throughout the process.

The overall quote was reasonable & I had no problems until the point that I was dissatisfied with the transition piece between kitchen & dining area. Most recently, the transition was glued down, but literally did not stick. I can pick it up. It also is not quite long enough & there is a gap between the wall and wood. He does an excellent job of hanging pictures, which I greatly appreciated as a side courtesy. but his level of responsiveness dropped from a 10 to a 0 at this point. Nothing is urgent on my end, but a simple acknowledgement of my text of concerns & pics of the issue would be appreciated. I feel disrespected to be completely ignored after investing a good sum of money in my wood floors with a guarantee of satisfaction. I am not seeking to bash this company; to the contrary, I simply would appreciate acknowledging the problem with a plan to follow up.

We also added new floors to our backroom and they match seamlessly with the existing hardwood. We went for a natural look and Michael spent a ton of time walking us through all of our options. The item in for repair should not be worse when picking up then when it is taken in for repair. They do not return calls. Told that chair was completed for several weeks and first time it had glue all over the chair that was not there when taken in. Dan took sander to chair instead of trying to remove glue. He said it would take him time to fix. Told again chair was done and could pick it up any time. Called multiple times to make sure they were open (during listed business hours)- left message and no answer or call back. Went to pick up chair in listed business hours to pick up chair - the stain came off on my hands and clothing- this should never happen when told it has been finished for weeks. When asked about the wet stain reply was F..... B..... get out of here. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever delt with. Avoid this business at all cost!!!! The sign in front of Central Avenue Strip Shop also advertises for McKie Seamless Gutters- I would avoid using them for gutters. I hired these guys after waiting 13 years to redo my kitchen cabinets. All I wanted was to never…read morehave to paint my cabinets again. I wanted them stained with a clear coat so they look beautiful and I'd never have to paint them. Dan came out and totally messed up my entire kitchen he airbrush my blinds, he emptied out his airbrush on my wallpaper, he airbrushed my countertops my floor. My cabinets aren't even the correct color. He used a circular sander on my wood and put permanent circles all through my cabinets. Anyone who works with wood, knows that you sand with the grain not against it and definitely not in a circular motion. He filed all the corners off my cabinets now they're all kind of rounded weird. Permanently messed up my floors I cannot get this crap off my floors that he used. I currently have him in small claims court trying to recoup my money so I can replace my countertops in my flooring that he messed up. Do not hire this person if you want a good job. He did not plastic off any of my appliances or my doorways which he was airbrushing had stained all through the air. I had to get the police to get him out of my house because he was messing up my house so bad.
