I would never recommend Ohio Roofing and Siding! My 8 ft., chimney was in bad condition, the roof never should have been put on before chimney repair but they do not walk the roof and they do not care. I have water going down the chimney in the attic and the ceiling in family rm damaged. A new roof and a $7,500.00 chimney repair that will be done on top of a brand new roof. I will know soon if the flashing is leaking, they put sealant over shingles to flashing on an 8 ft chimney, that may not even be to code. I am reading that if the flashing is done properly sealant is not needed. But, John Fox will fix that he'll peel the sealant off the shingles, so new shingles aren't needed either. Either way, crown or flashing issue, they are negligent for not walking the roof. The mason will have to do the job 2X on a brand new shingles. The mason was trying to work with ORS to repair the entire chimney, remove the flashing that is 15 inches high, band aid over a bad chimney, to repair the entire chimney properly, but no cooperation from ORS. Also, in the beginning, John Fox attempted to double dip on me on a couple of things, I am a senior citizen. The gutter guard was one, now I have areas that look like Niagara Falls, I want a refund, guess what John Fox said now? I didn't pay for the gutter guard, I have the Invoice. I had an Inspection, John Fox down played all the issues, stating OPINION, OPINION, OPINION. John Fox was also verbally demeaning and belittling to me, possibly abusive. He said he can put this into the BBB, and he knows people down there, and they know people like you, can't satisfy them. PLEASE NOTE: This was about the Inspection issues, nothing to do with the customer!? In 2025, I requested a different rep from the business, Mike Fox came out, then I never heard back from him. I sent a 30 day, Oct. 2025, then it was winter, I sent the Inspection in Spring, John Fox while talking on the phone about the Inspection and yes I was angry that he was down playing everything, he told me I was combative at the beginning, I asked for examples, I have not received that list of, he doesn't have any examples! They Breached the contract, I should have white drip edge porch, I pointed that out and he said "WE CAN'T" cut a piece that small, LIE! They breached the contract, now "we can't!" They are also breaching their warranty, they are not honoring it! Their business model should be, "WE DO NOT CARE AND WE CAN'T!" ORS! When I see reviews, roof looks nice, I would give 5 stars but I had to bend over once to clean up so 4 stars. How about getting an Inspection to really help people when they read your review. You can not say ORS did a great job until you had it inspected, because you have no idea! My house has water damage inside and out and Ohio Roofing and Siding has not arranged to meet with me on how they are going to take care of the issues. The mason was waiting and willing to work with them to repair the entire chimney. Also, 2 years ago I leveled out the brick walkway, ORS did not protect it, now you can feel the unevenness and dips, when you walk on it. I pointed that out to John Fox, you never get a correct customer service response, like we will take care of that, you get nothing! Not even a grunt! I also had to hear, the last day they were going to paint the gutters but then didn't, "no matter what we do, you won't be happy." WHAT!? I was not consulted on the big shinny black flashing or the black strip porch above shingles, I said something on those two things and that was 0% effort by John Fox not communicating with the customer. I feel I put up with verbal harassment also, I even asked for a different representative in 2025, not John Fox the owner. What is sad for a customer, if you have a warranty and a business doesn't care and are not honoring their warranty, you are between a rock and a hard place. This experience with ORS and with pics! Complete replace in 2027. Sunporch leaked badly so called for repair. The repair supervisor said leak was due to improper siding which was done 40 years ago. They put tar on gap from porch to stop leak.Last fall a squirrel pushed up soffit which was not properly attached and got into attic. My repair roofer said roof installation was poor ,not up to code and the tar led to siding damage and soffit was totally not installed right leading to leaking and easy squirrel entry. read more

Very nice work installing a quality product for a good price. Everyone was great to work with throughout the whole process, from Mr. Fox estimating, to the installers, to the office staff. They made recommendations in the process and we did make a couple small changes part way through that they handled very well. Would highly recommend. Really want to give them 5 stars, but for me that requires absolute perfection. I did have to do some cleanup of scrap material in the yard after they were done. In their defense on that item though, they were rushing to get loaded up as there was a storm rapidly approaching... I will definitely use them for my next project! read more

I had Oo Roofing do our siding and roofing several years ago. I thought they did a good job. However recently I had some work done that needed a small repair. Mr. Fox promised me he would have one of his workers repair it. When the worker never contacted me to come over, I called Mr. Fox again-and again he promised the worker would contact me and come fix it. Again he never did. My husband had to repair it himself. I was very disappointed in their recent follow through. I see another Fox reviewer had the same problem too. read more

Found out today that just because the owner of a company tells you that they will take care of a problem, it doesn't mean anything! Over a year after we lodged a complaint about severely faded siding and we were told that they would take care of the issue, now we find out that they thought someone else had taken care of it. What ? Apparently they believe there are siding elves that fix their shortcomings! Right now we are extremely disappointed in the response from this company! Our family has used the Fox family for at least two generations on multiple homes. We have had siding, windows and recently a roof. The process was impressive. Once I accepted the bid, which was surprisingly competitive, I got on the schedule. The day of the new roof the crew leader (Cesar, I think his name was) arrived early and made contact. He checked out the site and helped me remove a privacy fence panel so they could access the entire yard to catch debris. Around 7:30, the crew all arrived and quickly got to work. The tear off started around 7:30 or 8AM and was done in short order. I have never seen a crew work so well together. Like a machine. No wasted movements. No playing around. Impressive. I came home from work early to see how they were doing and they were done. Everything was already cleaned up, and not long after the dumpster was removed. A section of gutter that was sort of loose before the tear off was loosened a little more. John arranged for a replacement of an entire long section. Love my roof. Love it when pros do the job. Quick and painless. I can't imagine using a small roofer who lingers for days on end now that I have experienced a fast, experienced crew. Much less disruption. When deciding to replace our roof, we didn't bother calling a bunch of companies for estimates. I figured there's a reason Ohio Roofing has been in business for 85 years. Trust me, there are many reasons. Our salesman Mike Fox was very knowledgeable and personable. He assured us that his workers would be neat and have the job done in 3 days maximum. Carlos and his crew that did the job must be commended. They were quick, neat, thoughtful and very courteous. From tear off to completion, they were done in just 2 days. Everyone in the crew was constantly working. I can say that we never once saw any of them just standing around. We were very pleased in their carefulness of protecting everything from the landscaping to the driveway. We are so happy we chose Ohio Roofing, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
