Terrible Experience - Never Again !!! If I could give zero stars or no stars I would! We had the worst experience hosting a birthday party at Roller City -- by far the most unprofessional and disrespectful treatment we've ever received at any event venue. We rented the entire venue for a private party and arrived early to set up, only to be rudely told by an older man that we could not enter until exactly 10 minutes before our scheduled time. He claimed there was a class in session -- which was on the rink -- while the designated party area was completely empty. It was just me and my husband, and we would not have disrupted anything. Instead of speaking to us respectfully, he was short, condescending, and outright rude. But it got worse. Thirty minutes before our scheduled end time, that same man was aggressively in my husband's face, screaming at him to pack up and leave -- in front of our guests. We were shocked. We had paid for a full two-hour rental, followed all the rules, and even cleaned the area ourselves 30 minutes before the time we had to leave. The treatment we received was completely unacceptable and humiliating. Even our guests felt that the situation should have been handled a different way. To pay full price and be treated this way is outrageous. I can't believe people run a business like this. We will never return to this place, and we strongly encourage others to look elsewhere. I am from Louisiana and trying to keep skating alive! I bring my own Harlick Roller Skates made in California. For the past 10+ years my husband and I have made a goal to skate in each state at least one time. It was my birthday, and I was on a road trip and just settled into my hotel for the night. When I soon realized there is a skate rink open nearby. I attend the adult skate night. The floor was topped with a blue cover. Not my favorite but it still was a blast. read more

Here for a family Christian skate night. The skating floor is rather large, which is awesome. There are a lot of uneven spots throughout the floor/building. The customer service here is great....there is one gentleman that works here....he does not present himself friendly and probably should not interact with customers. Everyone else here is AWESOME. They never update there website or voice recordings. We live out of town and wanted to take kids skating, so I first checked their website and saw their schedules. I also called there phone number and listened to there recording for "Public Skate hours" and the listed off there daily sessions, with no mention of being closed the week of Frontier Days. When we arrived for the 3:00 session today, the doors were unlocked and we went in. We were greeted by the owners saying they were closed and sarcastically said, they are "closed every year during Frontier Days, as you can see nobody comes the week of Frontier Days". The female owner said "I posted on Facebook we are closed this week". I had to remind them as business owners, not everyone follows them on Facebook and that we went to there website and called them directly, which both of those sources showed they were open for business with no mention of closures this week. Will never go back due to there sarcastic "you should have known attitude". We left called around and found that the Cheyenne Event Center has roller skating in summer months, and I've in winter months. We went there instead, we were so happily surprised by cheaper prices, better atmosphere, friendly staff and we could skate as long as we want during there operating hours and the closed at 8. Much better deal!!! Will never go back to Roller City, as far better option available at the Cheyenne Event Center!!! And, they are open the week of Frontier Days!!! read more

This is a nice old roller rink that kids can come have fun. So many roller rinks have closed down an activity of the past. This roller rink also has an adult roller durby team the capidolls. Great way to promote skating in a fun atmosphere. All ages welcome. Staff is friendly . Nice budget friendly activity. read more

Being from a bigger city, it was odd to find a place where parents just drop their kids off! When we went the parking lot was empty, you go in, there's a million kids everywhere! The only adults were the staff members. i liked it because the parents can skate free. Seems like a safe place for children to hang out. Once they leave, they cant come back in. So kids cant go off and smoke or run around outside. They also take old skates in for trade towards a new pair! loved that! read more

It's a good way to entertain the kids, and since it's under new management they take an active role into improving the place.

We tried to play the whip and nay nay but we were not able to because the employees would not allow such foolishness.‍

My siblings and I wanted to go roller skating at a rink on a Friday night and were very pleased with Roller City's skating floor, cool lighting, and events throughout the night. However we were not at all pleased with some of the staff treatment. While my brother and I skated, my little sister decided to sit down due to a throbbing in her feet. This was no serious injury (nothing a break wouldn't fix), yet it was currently causing discomfort. After a few minutes she made the decision that it would be the best to take her skates off to allow her feet some relief. Not long after, a staff member approached her and told her to put her skates back on because she can't walk around in her shoes, even though she wasn't on the actual skating floor and she wasn't causing any trouble. My sister respectfully listened. When I asked my sister why she was walking around on her hurting feet, she told me that she had to put her skates back on due to a rule. I expressed my opinion of the rule out load to my sister and next thing I know, the same staff member butts into our conversation, raising her voice and angrily explaining that the roller skating rink was "no hangout." I failed to see what was so bad about siting at one of the provided tables to take a break. My siblings were even eating food that they bought at the concessions, so it wasn't like they were purposely taking up unneeded space. I started to explain that every one of my siblings, including myself, paid money to get in and I was about to explain my sisters throbbing feet, when the staff member told us "if you don't like the rules, you can leave." Our parents dropped us off and only planned to come pick us up after the night was over, but we were threatened to be kicked out to the curb in the dark by ourselves. I found it clear that my opinion wasn't respected and my voice wasn't allowed to be heard. My sister, nicer than I, agreed to put a pair of skates back on, despite her discomfort and only then were we left alone. read more

I have been to this establishment twice and had two very different experiences. The first was awesome and I totally would have given them 5 stars. We attended a school fundraiser night. The owners and staff were friendly and kind to kids. The rink was well kept and my boys had a blast. I could wait to bring them a few weeks later on a Friday night. After reading the rink rules, I figured it would be a wholesome fun environment. NOPE. There are so many kids just dropped off it is insane. The middle and high school kids walk around like it's the club, they are rude, disrespectful and the language is horrendous. Little kids dropping the f-bomb right and left. The staff seemed outnumbered. There was a door person, a skate rental person, a do, two skate monitors, and some concession workers. The older kids were skating out of control and plowing over other kids or were falling on purpose and causing others to fall. The monitors were no friendly and yelled at my boys not to stop on the wall to check in with me. It was insane since there were other kids doing way more dangerous stuff. On their sight they said that kids couldn't loiter, but there were so many just hanging out, cursing, I didn't understand why they posted rules they obviously can't enforce. I really want to bring my kids back, but not sure this is the place. It seems very out of control. read more

parents, please be aware, your children are not as safe as you think. My 12 yr. old daughter was ganged up on by several girls and one mother in the girls bathroom, while others stood around and watched.Needless to say, she was devastated by this experience. We involved the police to teach these people a lesson, that you can't treat people this way, they were no help and even seemed too put out for being called there. read more

I went here for a Roller Derby bout recently. It had been over 20 years since I'd been into the place. NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED. This building is in disrepair, and needs serious renovation. I saw exposed wiring all over the place. I seriously don't know how it meets city ordinance. I for one don't want my kids to go here because I'm afraid the place will collapse on them while they skate. read more
