He had already taken the tags off so he called the store and spoke with a guy that told him that he just needed to bring the receipt back. Fast forward to today (8/6/2014) I was off of work so this was the first chance I had to take him to the store. We arrived around 11:00; I waited in the car while he went in to get the refund. About 45 minutes later he can back to the car with a bag. I asked him what took so long and he explained that because the tags were not attached but in the bag they would not refund his money. I explained that I have on many occasions returned items without the tags and it was never an issue. I asked him if he wanted me to go check to make sure that he understood what they were saying. I went into the store and up to the register and talked to a lady that was behind the counter. I later found out she was the store manager. I asked for clarification on the policy, explaining that he had the tags. She explained that the policy is no returns if not in the original condition. I said that was a ridiculous policy as the clothes had never been worn and that her employee had said we just needed the receipt. She said that she would find out who said that because he was wrong. I said that I would call the corporate office to complain. At that point she went and got the two items and said that they smelled like a "house" not sure what that means. Then she proceeded to say "I'm not saying you people are dirty..." (I happen to be African American) I am not sure what she said after that as I was in utter disbelief that I was hearing those words. I repeated the "you people" phrase back and simply said I was leaving and began towards the door. At that point the Manager yells something to the effect "nice, go ahead and play that card". My son, who suffers from severe social anxiety, and I simply left the store. I then called the Fort Collins location to inquire about the return policy and they explained exactly what the original person we talked too had said that as long as we had the receipt we could return. I will never return to the store again!

The guys give great personalized service. They remember regular patrons' names and always are friendly and pleasant. The employees are all hockey players and are always happy to answer my dumb newbie questions. I took up hockey a year ago and they outfitted me in gear without trying to up sell. They could have talked me into a bunch of expensive stuff, but instead they sold me just what I needed. For a small pro shop, they have surprisingly good prices and selection. We often see gear at prices that match the biggest online retailers. If they don't have what we are looking for, we ask and Steve has ordered it.

Man! I'll never do business with Mountain Rentals in Loveland!…read more My kids and I rode our bikes from northwest Loveland to Dairy Queen today, and my son's handlebars needed to be tightened. I have no clue how the Allen screw loosened, but they kept rotating while he was riding. So after getting an ice cream we rode over to Mountain Rentals and I sent him inside to ask to use an Allen wrench. He came back out a minute later and said he couldn't do it. So I went inside and smiled and said, "Hey his handlebars are loose and we would like to just borrow an Allen wrench. We can stand right there by the front door and it will only take like 3 seconds." The dude refused. He said, "The shop tools are only to be used inside the shop, and we don't work on bikes." I'm honestly floored he would refuse. I bet you could walk into 49 other shops with tools and they would gladly offer goodwill to a community member in an awkward situation--potentially dangerous, even.

I wanna give a very special shout-out to Devo Mireles (Baseball/Softball Manager - 117898). Our daughters both just started competitive travel ball/club teams as opposed to just rec fastpitch softball. We went in looking for a bat that we could afford and that would be durable, and the perfect fit for each of our girl's swing styles. He introduced us to all the bats in stock and let us know that they do have a demo bat program to help with our budget for all the other gear we need! Competive level softball gear adds up quick! Devo took his time and made my girls feel confident in each bat they selected in a doable budget for us. Based on my description of needs, he helped me pick out two handfuls of bats for each girl to go try in the batting cage. He was so patient, and kind! He didn't just sell us bats, he gave my girls very valuable feedback on their batting stances, aim, and body mechanics while swinging. Because of Devo the girls were not nervous to keep trying the bats and didn't get bored with the process. He helped them each find different bats in the perfect sizes and weights for each of them! They also left with some free pointers that will be very helpful this season and educated us parent's, as well. Thank you Devo, you're the man to lead that department for sure.! In todays visit we picked up a leotard. Carol went out of her way to order a leotard for my daughter and picked out a few others just in case. my daughter is tall and slender and she is difficult to fit. we also got fitted for some tap shoes while we were there as well. Carol genuinely cares and wants everyone to have a great shopping experience at her store. Everyone provides really wonderful customer service and they offer fair prices. We have been going to Encore since they opened and will definitely keep going back!

I asked them to please fix the zipper so I could try it on. Basically they ignored me. Went back to putting the furniture together then I found a sick jacket that I was interested in and it had no tag on it no price tag. I asked them again. Could you please tell me the price on this jacket? I was ignored again. I then stated that was there someone that could help me that I was not going to be a nuisance for because obviously you two are ignoring me and you're putting together patio furniture I've asked to for assistance twice once to fix the zipper of a jacket. I was interested in and the second was to find out the price of a second jacket. I was interested in and both times I was basically shunned ignored and treated very poorly. Once I stated my displeasure and told them I used to be in retail and I would never have treated a customer the way they were treating me. They finally snapped to it and got me the results that I needed. Got me the price on the one jacket and fixed the zipper on the other jacket that was off track very unprofessional. I asked them.
