We had the best time at windy ridge cherry orchard, I could not recommend it enough…read more It is such a cute family owned farm where we were able to pick our own cherries! Everyone was super friendly and gave us buckets and some tips for picking cherries. We then walked a short distance to the cherry trees where there were so many cherries to pick. You can also take a tractor ride over to the cherry trees if you would like. When we were done they had a cute picnic area where you could bring your own food or buy something from them! Overall this was an incredible experience. It was not too busy so there was plenty of space for us to get as many cherries as we wanted and secure a picnic table for lunch after.

The owners are the sweetest! They invite you into their farm like family. It was a warm day and…read morethey offered us water and pointed us to the shaded picnic tables. They also take you on a cute little tractor ride to the top of a hill where the cherry trees are. Pros: The owners, the trees are pruned short so there is no problem reaching cherries for little ones or adults, they have some farm animals, and they have bing and ranier cherries. Con: The only con is that the cherry trees are younger and therefore the cherries are on the smaller side. They are still sweet and delicious. I can't wait until the trees get bigger - this will be THE cherry picking spot in Leona Valley.

I came here with family on a weekend, and due to the large crop bloom, there was a BOGO deal going on this year where if you buy 1 bucket, you get another bucket free! It 's always extremely hot whenever we come here as it would be usually in the summer months. I suggest being prepared because you walk up a small incline in between rows of cherry trees, so being hydrated is necessary. Parking and entrance is free, instructions are given by staff and they lead you to where to go to begin picking. General rules include no eating the cherries inside, no yanking cherries off of branches (leaving stems behind help them grow again), and for the BOGO deal, you must fill up an entire bucket. Now, it can be pricey because it's currently at $6.50 a lb (.50 cents increase compared to pre-covid) and I think a bucket can contain at LEAST 10-12 lbs. So you need to shell out at least $65 in order to do the BOGO deal for example. A staff actually said that a bucket might cost about $85 each when I asked. We didn't do the deal because that would be too much for our small family, so I think this is optimal for large groups! We ended up paying $48 for our bucket and we went our ways. Good for a quick hour. Too long and you may overheat from the heat! - bring own water, bottles sold onsite are $2 each - local honey is also sold - 2 lbs minimum for adult to purchase - overall fun and unique experience! - always double check dates and times, sometimes they close at 1/2pm!

It's best to go on a weekday or around open on the weekend (7:00am) to avoid crowds. It gets hot during the day, so going early also helps to avoid the heat. The cherry trees do provide some shade though. Parking is free and easy to find. There is no entrance fee, but there is a $10 minimum per person. Cherries are priced at $6.50 per pound. You pay for the cherries at the end after you're done picking. The farm also sells honey that can be purchased when you pay for the cherries. The staff are kind and helpful. Upon arrival, we were given buckets for picking the cherries and given an explanation on where to go and what cherries are currently ripe for picking. Most of the cherries ready to pick at the time were Brooks and Rainiers. There were a few Bing cherry trees to pick from as well. The crop this year is top tier in quantity and quality due to the good weather. While we were picking cherries, there are staff members who walk around with hooks to help people access cherries that are out of reach. Shoutout to Ramon who helped us reach the ripest cherries on many Brooks and Rainier trees! We chatted with him about all things cherry and he told us about wrinkled cherries. These cherries are some of the sweetest ones due to the sun exposure and partial dehydration which result in a more concentrated flavor. We appreciate his insights and enjoyed his company while cherry picking. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Villa del Sol and give it 5/5 across all categories. Highly recommend to anyone who has not visited a cherry farm, picked cherries, or looking for a fun date idea. The cherries are so sweet and much better than the store-bought ones. We will definitely be back!

Our group organizer asked everyone to arrive to the ranch by 9:30 a.m. My wife and I made the long drive from the Torrance, Ca area. Although the trip was lengthy, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival by the warm welcome and helpful staff assisting with parking, which made for a positive first impression. We arrived to Bloom Ranch arriving at 9:30 a.m., after a long drive from the Torrance area. Despite the chilly 41-degree weather, the staff made everyone comfortable by welcoming our group inside to warm up before seating us outdoors. With about 100 guests in attendance, and heat lamps provided, the setup was well organized and accommodating. Guests were dismissed by tables to enjoy a brunch that was fresh, hot, and delicious. From eggs, grits, and waffles to a made-to-order omelet station, every dish was prepared perfectly. The attentive food crew ensured coffee and juice were served promptly and professionally. Adding to the atmosphere, a live saxophonist provided enjoyable music during the meal. After brunch, guests were invited to explore the Bloom Ranch Store, which offered a wide variety of goods including fresh eggs, greens, honey, butter, pantry items, harvest boxes, candles, vinegar, and more. The ranch also offers driving and walking tours of the beautiful property--an experience you look forward to enjoying on your next visit.

All staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the product. The energy was so relaxing, happy and tasty! We were able to sample the vinaigrette, tangerines, trail mix, toffee, jams and butter. My favorite was the honey ginger and peach vinaigrette. The trail mix was addictive and the honey was so good. I bought broccoli, green tomato, peach and honey ginger vinaigrette, brown sugar scrub, sun dried tomato with garlic, honey in a jar, peach vanilla jam (taste just like peach cobbler) Can't wait to go back in the spring
