Many of these types of boutiques are a dying breed . They sell jewelry, clothing, accessories and the crown jewel is the freezers of gourmet food and the personal service of the staff. They are located in the strip mall on Lawndale amongst other assorted businesses . The freezers house a wide selection of regional items from appetizers of dip, delectable country ham rolls, wide range of entrees such as quiche, pot pies, casseroles and yummy desserts of pies and cakes. They don't put it on the shelf but they will make it while you are there. They have several sizes that will fit any need or budget. My favorite is the Pure Grace. Susan told me, "Start with one spritz". She was right. I put on one spritz this afternoon and I can still smell it 4 hours later ...and counting! It is staying with me like a perfume or oil would. Carries gorgeous, interesting, original lines like Sine, Yoanna Baraschi, Rebecca Taylor and Trina Turk, along with classics like Theory, BCBG and Marc by Marc Jacobs. I can't afford to shop there regularly, but their bi-annual sales are legendary. Everything eventually comes down to 75% off. The staff are friendly and cheerful and very classy for this sleepy town (but I'm biased- some of them are Wake students). I should also mention the location- a shocking pink former gas station on the strip of Reynolda Road inhabited by Pink Mink, Fabians, 1703 and the Krankie's silver bullet. A must-stop for anyone driving back to the West End or Downtown from campus on a Friday afternoon. After you've finished sipping your iced coffee and blown your money on the summer sale, drive a bit further down Reynolda towards the west end and reward your exertion with a gelato from Cafe Gelato.
