I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Essentially it is 1 step above Fazolis. There is no dedicated host so you have to stand around while the wait staff walk past you and look. They served drinks with no ice and the food has no flavor. We rarely seen our server. One visit was enough read more

This place is new in Richlands and although it is not true authentic Italian it is pretty tasty. They have nachos on the menu that really jumped out at my wife and I and we have ordered them twice now. They deep fry lasagna noodles for the chips and use Alfredo sauce. They are delicious. I ordered the pizza and I will admit, Italian Village has more authentic NY style pizza but the pizza here is still delicious. I ordered pepperoni and onion and was not disappointed. The garlic knots with cheese are also a must order. We are very picky about out knots and these pleased the pallet. The spicy penne is spicy. No joke! I eat hot food and this was a little too spicy for me. The flavor was amazing though. Sun dried tomatoes, chicken, mushrooms and a delicious creamy sauce. If you like spicy food, this is really good stuff. The lasagna was very average. It needed something. Maybe more ricotta. It had a lot of beef in it and that flavor rang through, I just think it needed more cheese and sauce. All in all I think this is a really good place. It has a lot of potential and I hope that it does well. I would like to think that next time I visit Richland's I can stop in and get a bite. The service is good but I had one small issue. When I told them that the penne was spicier than I would have expected they offered another meal. I chose the lasagna. I went to use the bathroom at the end of the meal and my wife paid. The next day I found out I was still charged for the spicy penne and the lasagna. I was a little upset to say the least. My wife didn't notice when she paid the bill though. read more

Disappointed. We arrived at 4:33. Sat for 15 minutes. No menu or attention from the staff. A waitress informed us they close at 5. We went next door to Italian Village. We placed our order at 4:50. The staff at Roma could have asked us to take our order to go. The staff was lacking tonight. We will not be back. read more

A very good small Italian resteraunt that gives you the mom and pop feel. The pizza dough is fresh and fluffy with a sweeter taste. I liked the cheese and richness of the pizza. The garlic knots appetizer were decent. The knots are drizzled in cheese and garlic sauce. I would suggest trying Roma. I've heard great things about the pasta, although I didn't try it. read more

The food here is very basic, stuff you can basically make at home in the oven in half the time. They usually have 1-2 waitresses at most, even in peak hours. Really slow service for food that isn't really worth the wait. Also when you go to pay they ask you "how much do you want to tip!?" Pretty loudly as to make you feel uncomfortable and obligated to tip them more than they deserve. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Funny how this place is right next to the Pizza Hut. Big corporate giant next to the local guy. Don't mess up on your decision, go to Roma Family Restaurant. This is a restaurant where most items are good to very good IMO. You may want to skip the hamburger but the cheesesteak seems it's right out of South Philly. The chicken parm is not Virginia Tech quality, but here at Roma's it's good and enough for two meals. The spaghetti with meat sauce is a good fare as well. Calzones are huge and it's on my list to try next time. The staff are pretty attentive to your needs. A little gem in Cedar Bluff that I'm sure everyone in your party will find something to their liking. read more

The service was really good. They had your regular coke fountain products but they also had probably 20 different types of soda in the sliding cooler as well as 3 types of milk and all manner of 2 liters. This was a major plus since the girlfriend likes coke zero, not diet Coke. The cheesy garlic knots we got as an appetizer were great. I ordered a 12 inch chicken parm sub and she ordered a small buffalo chicken pizza. No complaints about either choice. For desert she had a canoli and I had Oreo cheese cake. Both were plated really well and we're delicious. I highly recommend, especially when you look at anything in the area outside of Abingdon or Bristol. read more

Love it, love it, love it! This is my absolute favorite restaurant ever and I'm so glad that it exists now. I've moved away from the area, but every time I come to visit I have to make a stop here. Make no mistake though, this is not the restaurant for you if you are watching your weight or otherwise concerned with being the least bit healthy. Everything is slaughtered in grease and oil. The good kind, the kind that makes everything unreal tasty. The garlic knots are a must. They always get the dough absolutely perfect and they are soft and bitterly delicious. The pizzas have always been great too. I usually go for one of their pasta dishes. They bring you an unreal portion of food that tastes so good it's still not enough. I truly love this place. Roma has gone way downhill in the last few years. Ingredients are recognizably cheaper and quality is on the Mickey D level. Owners should be concerned about the wonderful Italian food and service available at The Italian Village which is practically next door. read more

As always when I write a review, I keep I mind locale. Just to be fair. I had their gyros, Tzika sauce was fresh, big plus. The pita bread good quality too, the lamb was over cooked but good. My guest had a great steak calzone, inside and out, way above average. Strongly recommend. This place is easy to find also. Great staff. read more

We came in and waited for at least 15-20 minutes without anyone even getting our drink order. We finally went to the counter and said when you get a chance could you send someone over. The waitress came over and very rudely said we are doing the best we can so we will get to you whenever we have time and walked away. Still not even drinks. I have tried to get delivery many times. I would say out of 15 calls I receive one delivery. The menu clearly states "We Deliver" yet you are told over and over we don't have a driver today. Also, told that you are short on waitresses that day. What does a waitress have to do with deliver? That is two entirely different jobs. I have never been told by Pizza Hut or Giovanni's that they can't deliver an order. I like your food but we are a senior couple who, because of health reasons, cannot come in so delivery is our only option. You need to honor your We Deliver or else take it off the menu. I can't be the only person this happens to. You sit down and decide what you want only to not be able to get it. I really hope you hire a driver and honor your "We Deliver." Thank You read more

While the food was good the service was very poor for us . We had to ask for our menus . No one checked on us once we ordered and we had to ask for refills . Our waiter could obviously see that our drinks were empty . The staff acted as if they were doing us a favor waiting on us . When we did ask for basic service we asked politely and said thank you. They very busy when we first got there but as we ate it wasn't busy at all as a lot of folks had left . They did check on and ask folks they apparently knew if they needed anything. I did leave the guy waiting on us a 15 percent tip but I usually leave 25 to 30 percent for good service . 15% was being very generous . read more

They got my pick-up order wrong, I called to advise them, they left me on hold-so I drove back down and 36 min later was still on hold. The manager stayed in the back she would not address my concern. Nor any of the other staff. The girl that gave me my order gave my missed pasta and offered me a drink and desert. I was really impressed with the food and service here. The server was very helpful and patient with my questions about the menu items. I really like the variety of choices on the menu. I decided to go with a classic Chicken Parmigiana. The marinara sauce is very good and I could tell it was fresh and homemade. I do think it would be a better dish if the chicken were pounded to be a thinner piece, as it was very thick. I also think they should serve a spoon with a stringy type pasta. Other than these small things, I think it was great and will definitely return the next time I'm in town. read more

I've only had a couple of bad experiences in regards to the wait staff being rude and/or inattentive, but other than that, I've never been disappointed.
