Lucio G. arrived on time and was curtious. He explained who he was and provided ID. He asked to see the work site and materials for the ceramic tile floor. (I had removed some of the tiles myself as I had expected to do more of the work myself, but due to an unexpected heart surgery I had to have an excellerated time to job completion.) He asked me quesions about what I expected/wanted. He explained what he would be doing and what he needed from me to help him: access to an electical outlet, access to water, an outside area to work, and for my little dog to be kept in a safe area. As the job progressed Lucio would explain to me about particular features and ask me what my preferance was if there was an option. My bathroom was only about 105 SF and 90 SF of tile so the job was accomplished in a single day with one craftsman, Lucio G. He did an excellent job, I couldn't have been more pleased. Based on other bids I had received Romanoff Renovations provided a good and fair price, great service and a good value. Based on my experience I would highly recommend Romanoff Renovations. We had new carpet installed in 2 rooms where there was carpet previously. The Romanoff brothers were exceptional at their work and totally professional, neat & tidy and friendly. They moved our furniture, completed the install, moved furniture back, cleaned up and vacuumed the carpet to get the initial little bits up off the new carpet. This review has a couple of moving parts. I guess I would have given Romanoff a 5 star rating but this project took a long time to complete. Not really anyone's fault just a series of issues that pushed the completion down the line. In the end, the crew that Romanoff sent to complete the job was fantastic! Their quality of work, politeness and cleanup was great. I was very impressed. The floor looks great! Romanoff was the second contractor for this Home Depot project...that's part of the reason it took so long. All in all, I'm very happy how this turned out. Romanoff has been the worst experience. I was scheduled for 3 days to get every inch of my house floored with LVP. They showed up and removed the previous Laminate and rugs and laid about 100sq for (less than 10% of the house) and never came back. They claimed my upstairs had too much moisture and too much humidity. Which is a lie as it's bone dry. They wouldn't use self leveling agent or Kilz for pet stains saying that I need a GC for those things which EVERY GC has laughed at. Their communication has been beyond poor. Ive been waiting multiple days to hear more from the project manager and I've had to call them about 30 times and Home Depot about 20 times. They said they'd comeback in over a month to complete the job which would mean my dogs would need to stay at a kennel for over a month and my family would need to stay at a hotel for over a month waiting that's about $150 per day in hotel/kennel charges. Romanoff won't pay that. Don't go with Romanoff. Hire a GC or local flooring installers read more

We had Romanoff install our floor through Home Depot. We were originally told it would only take 2-3 days to install and the project ended up taking 6 days. The only reason Romanoff finished on the 6th day was because we let them work from 9am to 2am the next day. After they finished, we found numerous spots in the floor that were uneven. This causes the flooring to sink in and make cracking noises when walked upon. My fiancé and I paid extra to take care of the uneven parts and the uneven parts are still there and wasn't fixed properly. We also paid the company extra to move our furniture and take apart our bed. We had just purchased a beautiful new bed from Arhaus at a great price. The bed was broken by the workers when trying to put it back together. They've already explained to us that we'll more than likely just get back what we paid for it. Due to their workers breaking our bed, we're responsible for finding a replacement for our dream bed that matched our bedroom furniture. (We are remodeling our entire home). Romanoff attempted to have a furniture repair man fix it, but the bed frame was made worse by attempting to screw a metal bracket between the headboard and beam. This did not fit in place. The repair man seemed like the job was a burden to him. This whole situation has caused us anxiety and stress. I recommend anyone else before Romanoff. read more

We purchased from Home Depot LVP flooring for our entire house in Palm Desert. Romanoff was the contracted installer, and we cant say enough about how good they were. From the demo team, who came a few weeks ahead of installation to help the painting crew, to the installation team, everyone was awesome!! Excellent communications, friendly and they really know their stuff! Home Depot had made a major error in measuring leading to not enough product being delivered. The installing crew caught this at the end of the first day and calculated how much more we needed. We worked with Home Depot and had the additional product here the next morning. The project was not delayed thanks to his catch. The floors look awesome and I cant recommend Romanoff Renovations enough!! read more

Romanoff installed our living room carpet that we purchased from Home Depot. The installer was courteous and appeared to work efficiently. After installation the carpet seams were very visible. The installer said they would disappear after a few weeks and vacuuming. If not, he said to call Home depot to have it looked at. After 2 months, the seams were as noticeable after installation. I called HD and they had a Romanoff representative come out to look. The first thing he said was the room was too bright and lighter colored carpeting would show the seams. He said nothing could be done. I called Home Depot to express our disappointment. They are following up, we'll see how it turns out. Romanoff wants you to use black carpeting in a room with no windows and low lighting to hide their mistakes. read more

They were lazy, completely unprofessional. They were hired via Home Depot contract to move up to 5 furniture items per room. The contract literally says so and when they arrived they not only refused to move the small amount of furniture left in each room they walked off the job without talking to anyone. Was left to call Home Depot and beg for service. Entire home was torn apart as everything stacked in kitchen so they could install carpet and they simply left, ZERO CONTACT. Then when pushed they lied saying the homeowners was going to have someone come move the furniture l, they lied about the type of furniture in the house (I do not own an electric bed). It was so horribly unprofessional. After waiting for weeks, already paid for the carpet. I can't believe Home Depot uses them. The lack of ethics was astounding. If I could give negative stars I would, do not use them if you love in Southeast Idaho, but from someone other than Home Depot. I hate to bash Home Depot because it's not their fault. They are locked into a National contract. I just don't have words for how poor of service they provided. There solution is they will now come back in days and the homeowner has to hire people to move the furniture the contract says they will move. We aren't talking 1000lbs pieces of furniture either just small night stands, beds that are already disassembled, light couches. If my parents weren't senior citizens I'm sure they could of done it themselves. To leave a 70 year old woman in a house that torn apart, refuse to help even though it's your job and the let her love in that till you decide you will come back. Shame on you. read more

PLEASE DO NOT hire this company. I hired Home Depot who outsources to Roamanoff and it has been a nightmare trying to get my bathroom floor tiled. They said it would take a day in a half and it's almost been 3 weeks. They are awful! And now they installed chipped tile and told me "tile isn't perfect" and to just accept that 15 pieces of my tile are chipped. ON TOP of all that, the contractor sanded my original hardwood floors that I had professionally sanded and stained less than a year ago. I'm beyond frustrated. I'm in the process of getting Home Depot/Roamanoff to rip the the tile up and give me a full refund so I can hire a new company to properly and efficiently do the job right. read more

My home renovation project with Romanoff's is still in-process, but so far I am HIGHLY DISSATISFIED! Based on my experience, Romanoff's does not give a FLYING FLIP about me or the quality of their work. What they do seem to care a lot about is cutting corners and passing their inconveniences off to their customers. Romanoff's was assigned to me for flooring installation by Home Depot. They installed the floor (but not the quarter-round trim) several weeks ago and said they would return when some completer pieces were ordered and delivered (a few weeks ago). I'm STILL WAITING! We had a confirmed appointment for them to complete the work today, 3.5.2021, but they were a NO-SHOW. Now, they're telling me that the install team will "stop by" to finish the flooring install "the next time they're in town." The team works out of Opelika, AL and I'm in Montgomery, and they've already been paid by HD; so what are the odds? Guess I'd better be available whenever they are! I sure hope I'm wrong, and I'll be the first to say if I am, but right now I have NO LOVE for Romanoff's. Home Depot, HELP! read more

My expectations were very low using Home Depot and these people confirmed why. Long story, but read it before you use HD or hire these people directly. The only reason I am giving them 2-Stars and not 1-Star is that their work, once it was completed, was pretty decent. It just took 4 days to complete a 3 hour job. I am a Realtor in Midtown and one of my clients has a rental property in 1010 Midtown (a 35 story, 425 unit high rise on Peachtree Street in the heart of Midtown). Working in a high rise can be challenging for contractors - in this case we would need to reserve a freight elevator ahead of time as well as reserve a loading dock. Also, this condo had floating hardwood flooring that would need to be removed prior to installing carpet. All of this was discussed with the schedulers ahead of time and was documented on the work order from Home Depot. The communication from Romanoff relating to confirming the installation appointment was very smooth and the follow up was exceptional - until installation day. Day 1 (Wednesday): Their installers called me promptly at 8:25am to tell me they were on their way and that they would be arriving in 20 minutes. I told them that I would meet them at the loading dock. At 8:40 I saw a Romanoff truck pass by. My phone immediately rang - thinking they were lost, I was prepared to give them directions. However, the gentleman on the phone said, "I'm sorry, but we do not do high rise installations and we cannot work in the city - you will have to find someone else". Whaaat?? Let me reiterate, it was known ahead of time that this install was in a 35 story high rise in the center or Midtown. I called their office and spoke with Cindy (numerous times) and she assured me that she would have someone out to complete the installation the next morning. We reviewed what needed to be done, 1. Remove hardwood flooring and haul off, 2. Install carpeting and pad, and 3. Everyone understood that this a high rise with concrete floors under the hardwoods in the center of Midtown. All good!? Not really - - Now I have to go back and try to schedule a freight elevator (they have 1 for a 425 unit condo building) and a loading dock spot. Day 2 (Thursday): Just like Day 1, the installers called me at 8:30 and said they were 20 minutes away. I told them that I would meet them at the loading dock, which I did. The guys grabbed all of their tools and we headed up to the condo so I could show them the two rooms where they were to remove the hardwood floors and install carpeting. Both of the guys had really confused expressions - and upon arriving in the condo, told me "oh, we don't remove hardwood flooring - you need a hardwood flooring person to do that". WHAT??? I grabbed my phone and called their office back. Cindy was off, so I was referred to Brian (a manager). I explained everything and he told he would see what he could do. Brian did call me back about an hour later and told me that he would have hardwood flooring people there first thing the next morning to remove the flooring and have a carpet installer there to install the carpeting afterwards. For the record, the new tenants were scheduled to move in that coming Saturday at 11:00am. Day 3 (Friday): The hardwood flooring guys called on their way and I met them at the loading dock around 10:00am. We went upstairs and they were done within 30 minutes (floating floors popped up very easily). At 1:00, the carpet installers arrived. The had a similar expression as the guys from the day before - "Oh goodness, these floors are concrete and we don't have the equipment to install tack strips into concrete" - WHATTT?? I called Brian back - obviously at this point I am not happy! Brian spoke with the installers and they agreed that the installers would go buy liquid nails to glue down the tack strips, BUT, the liquid nails would have to dry 24 hours before you could stretch carpet on them. If you recall, the new tenants are scheduled to move in within the next 22 hours. So, I called the tenants who had to call their movers to reschedule for later in the day. Another phone call to 1010 Midtown management to make sure we could reserve the freight elevator and the loading dock (for a 4th day) - fortunately we were able to do that. Day 4 (Saturday): The carpet installers arrived around 10:00am and I met them at the loading dock to take them up. These guys seemed to be more prepared because they had cut the carpeting so that it would better fit in the elevator. These people wasted an ENORMOUS amount of my time and cause A LOT of frustration. I would discourage anyone from using them! read more

Had a terrible and dangerous experience with this company. The product is fine but they left without checking with me and I found 2 sharp nails on the carpet. It was my baby daughter who found them. I can only imagine what may have happened if she stepped on one. They didn't replace the furniture in the right spots so I had to move it myself. When they first showed up I asked if they had booties and they said no. Yet, I specifically requested this of the person who scheduled the service. I also asked them to wear masks and gloves and the person said he didn't have any. Fortunately he came back later with masks. The service was beyond sub par. We ordered vinyl flooring from the home depot and they hired Romanov Renovations to do the install. The install was done horribly. Our base boards were destroyed in several places as well as scuffed up continuously. They marked up our walls, the insides of door frames at the bottom knocking chunks out of them. There are utility knife cuts to parts of our baseboards. The quarter round is the worst. A lot of pieces were not nailed in at all with nails missing and going into nothing so the quarter round was hanging off. It wasn't joined well in a lot of places and the nails used were too big so visible and strikingly ugly. They scuffed the quarter round all up and marked it so it looks very ugly and used. It is cheap too. The floor is wonky in some spots and feels weird and uneven. I'm really unimpressed with their work. I should have done it myself. We have a beautiful house now marked up throughout ruining our expensive trim and baseboards. Some of the scuffs on the walls which are freshly painted are just completely careless and obvious in the hallways. In the contract it says we have to provide them a toilet which is fine. My wife prepared the guest bathroom and provided with linens. They used our private master and clogged it. He had to come ask my wife for a plunger which we didn't have since we were doing the floors before moving in. So he had to leave it overnight and do it the next morning. Romanoff Renovations is the worst subcontractor I've ever worked with and I've dealt with many over the years. Three times they were scheduled to install my carpet and they never installed it!!! The first time they decided I had to remove my baseboards despite the fact that they came to my house to measure and assess to build a quote. So I paid a different contractor $500 to remove the baseboards and rescheduled with Romanoff. They just didn't show up the second time and said that their guy got sick, no backups! So I rescheduled again. I called them every hour on the hour to get their status of the contractor. At first they said they were working it, then they just stopped answering their phone. Never showed. I had to take all my furniture out of my house 3 times reset it up every time they decided not show up! I paid for service through Home Depot and didn't recognize I'd be dealing with this terrible company at the outset. Had I read the rest of the reviews I would have not paid Home Depot. I'm never going to back to Home Depot because they forced me into this crap company and I've filled a Better Business Bureau complaint on each company. They scheduled and came on time but took more than 6 hours of shoddy work. Since it was a week day, my wife had to take an off and stayed at home for this. When I reached home in the evening i saw lot of gaps between wall and carpet. Very next day the top of stairs was peeling off and exposed all the nails. I called the non-professional Installer and explained the situation, however they are not ready to hear or resolve the situation. For next few times i have to call and beg them to fix it as i have two kids playing all the time. My son got hurt already with the exposed nail. Then they finally agreed to tix they said they can come on only weekday. Since we already spent a day and took off for this, i wanted on weekend however they refused. I called Home Depot, they escalated the issue and got the weekend schedule. The repair man was so professional, came on time and to my surprise he was so candid. He said the "previous installer did not do decent job. We had lot of complaints about his installations. " he also said that it needs complete reinstall. He only repaired the exposed nail/carpet peel off. He recommended for re-install. So i let him go because he said he is going write the notes about re-install to their office. I called home depot and informed the same. They said come and select the new carpet if you want. Then i selected the one and sent the information to home depot. Couple days later home Dept updated me saying that Ramonoff repaired the issue and cant reinstall. The gap is due the carpet that I selected. Yea. Blame it on the carpet. My install has been canceled 3 times. Each time I have been give a new install date 2 months later. The second install date the installer actually didn't show up and the company had no idea where he was. They have had my money for 6 months. I am so incredibly disappointed. Please take this as a warning to move on to another company for any work ypu need done. Shame on Home Depot for partnering with such a unreliable company! They didn't show until late and it was a subcontractor who didn't have a correct work order. If you don't have perfect floors they won't do the install. We had to hire another company to do the job and will have to wait almost three months after waiting two months for Romonoff to not show up. The contractor laid a level of the floor said it's too uneven and walked out. This was after spending hours complying with their things we will not do list and hiring a handyman to do all of the work they didn't want to do I now have to hire a plumber to install toilets, then take th back out again on a couple of months. Romanoff was supposed to install backsplash for me in my kitchen, three times they scheduled and theee times they failed to show, each time Representing us having to tear the kitchen down. I ordered my Laminate Flooring through Home Depot and so assumed that if i used their preferred installer things would go smoothly but I was wrong. Romanoff scheduled the 1st installation and upon arriving they were saying their were issues with my flooring to be able to proceed. 2nd install date they did the exact thing. They were trying to make me believe their were issues with my subflooring. I decided to cancel their service and researched flooring companies in the area with highly rated reviews. I have received a total of 4 quotes and each contractor that assessed my subflooring did not see any issues with the current condition of my floor. All foor provided similar resolutions to any areas of the floor that they needed to iuimake adjustments and modifications and all within a reasonable cost and a few even less than Romanoffs price. I highly advise against using Romanoff and suggest getting your own contract with a reputable company. Home Depot of Buckhead GA was not helpful in correcting the shady behaviour by their preferred installer so i will never use the service option provided by them. read more
