We had Romanoff install our floor through Home Depot. We were originally told it would only take 2-3 days to install and the project ended up taking 6 days. The only reason Romanoff finished on the 6th day was because we let them work from 9am to 2am the next day. After they finished, we found numerous spots in the floor that were uneven. This causes the flooring to sink in and make cracking noises when walked upon. My fiancé and I paid extra to take care of the uneven parts and the uneven parts are still there and wasn't fixed properly. We also paid the company extra to move our furniture and take apart our bed. We had just purchased a beautiful new bed from Arhaus at a great price. The bed was broken by the workers when trying to put it back together. They've already explained to us that we'll more than likely just get back what we paid for it. Due to their workers breaking our bed, we're responsible for finding a replacement for our dream bed that matched our bedroom furniture. (We are remodeling our entire home). Romanoff attempted to have a furniture repair man fix it, but the bed frame was made worse by attempting to screw a metal bracket between the headboard and beam. This did not fit in place. The repair man seemed like the job was a burden to him. This whole situation has caused us anxiety and stress. I recommend anyone else before Romanoff. read more

We bought carpeting from Home Depot to be installed by Romanoff Renovations. The arrival was 11am-2pm and my two installers arrived at noon, introduced themselves politely and got right to work. My old carpet was removed and the new carpeting installed by 7pm that evening. It looks great, no obvious seams, no damage to the walls or trim. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the installers did take the scraps and I wanted to keep the good sized ones. read more

Purchased carpet through Home Depot who contracted Romanoff To do the install. Carpet was installed 5 years ago, the seams are very visible and was told they would "disappear" after a few vacuums. 5 years later they are still there and they're in the middle of the floor. I contacted Home Depot and they stated that Romanoff would come out and inspect for $195 since it's out of warranty. I respectfully declined. I'll never buy carpet from Home Depot due to this contractor not doing the right thing and taking care of Home Depot customers. DO NOT do business with this company! Goodbye Home Depot! DO NOT GET FLOORING THROUGH HERE. Worst experience of my life with service and quality. They do not care about you or your experience. They partner with only one contractor in the area who has multiple complaints and reviews on numerous sites. When you contact Home Depot about installation issues they leave you on hold, transferring you all around until the line hangs up on you. When you finally get a hold of a manger they show no sympathy for the troubles you have been put through. We were offered a quoted price based on a Home Depot professional coming out, taking proper measurements and assesing our flooring needs properly. When the installers gave us the run around all morning then arrived hours late, no masks on and openly coughed while talking to my husband, I was pretty upset. I am pregnant and very concerned for my baby and I's safety during this troubling time. They came in pulled the carpet up said the floors were uneven and that we would need to pay extra. This was not agreed upon when in-person measurements and quotes were given. Seemed strange since I had floors installed through Home Depot with Romanoff installation before and those floors were super unlevel and they did not level them to install new flooring. That was a past nightmare I should have clearly learned my lessons then. Really seemed like they didn't want to do the work and had better things to do. I called Romanoff's office and told them about my horrible day thus far, no empathy, but the same response, you will need to pay extra. I told them if extra was needed then it will be handled by Home Depot, the company I hired and paid. The installers then said they would use plywood to fix the uneven flooring today and come back tomorrow to do the flooring. Unfortunately, we only had today available, so I asked them to leave. They left our floors tore up and rolls of carpet in our front lawn for us to take care of. I called Home Depot to request new installation with a different company. We had so many issues with Romanoff last time through Home Depot that have still not been fixed. I didn't want to deal with it all again. Finally, get someone to help me and she says we need to pay to have the floors leveled and we need to hire someone to sand them after they are leveled before they can install. What? I have to hire someone? So much for a full service flooring solution. No apologies for any of our troubles, no empathy for the headaches they caused. I canceled my installation and I am returning the flooring. We are hiring someone to come and sand and stain the floors they uncovered because they are actually really nice, level and seemless, minus a couple planks. Overall easy, cheap, gorgeous solution for us and we will never shop with Home Depot again. read more

I purchased carpet and Romanoff was the installers. My appointment time window Was 8 AM till 11 AM. By 11 AM nobody had shown up or contacted me so I waited patiently until after 12 PM before I contacted Romanoff. I was told that they were running behind and I was the next stop. I was told they would be here by 2:20 PM which was already almost 3 hours outside of my installation window. I wasn't happy but I obliged. By 3:00 PM no one still had arrived to install my carpet which means I had now sat through two installation windows with no installation done yet. I called Romanoff back again and I spoke with Leslie who told me she would contact the installers and she would call me right back or they would call me right back. A half hour later which was almost 3:40 no one had contacted me back so I called Romanoff back again, this is my third time calling today. Leslie answered the phone and said the installer was supposed to call me back so she will reach out to them to see where they're at because they should be there. I asked to speak with the supervisor or manager who she said was in a meeting. The installers knocked on my door at 3:45 PM which was now almost 5 hours late from my installation window. They came in and began their job. About 4:00 PM I received a call from the supervisor who told me that my window was confused with another window or something to that nature which still was horrible because I never received a phone call from the installer or Romanoff to tell me that there was an issue and there was confusion so I can go on about my day until the next installation window timeframe. The manager did apologize and stated he will send me out a $25 gift card because that's not the way they operate. However this installation process as far as the customer service goes was horrible. The installation was not finally complete until 7:30 PM which means I spent my complete day sitting in the house waiting for them when I could have possibly been getting other things accomplished. I'd NEVER recommend Romanoff for carpet installation. This should have been painless effort on my behalf as a customer but instead it was very unprofessional and not handled correctly on their behalf. The overall install of the carpet ended up good however the service is just not there. read more

My engineered hardwood floors look great and I'm very happy with them. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is the installers were a little "lose" on the arrival time. Most days of the installation, they arrived later than the arrival time they gave me. When you work outside your home and have to arrange your work schedule to accommodate installers, it's not easy when workers don't show up when they say they will. But they were great about moving my furniture, replacing it, and making sure I was happy with my floors before they left. read more

Home Depot contracted Romanoff to install carpet. They did a terrible job. The carpet was not stretched at all, just laid on the tack strips. Visible seams everywhere, not subtle either. Had to piece together little strips on the stair landing when immediately fell apart after they left. They tried fixing the issues but ended up having to reorder the carpet again. When they came to install the second time, they cut it wrong again. They were going to reorder a third time but I had Home Depot cancel my order and refund my money. Went with another local carpet installer and they did it right the first time. read more

They were on reasonably on time and quick on the installation. My only complaints are that they broke a leg on my bed which we paid to have moved and that after installing the carpet apparently someone left staples everywhere. Good thing I walked in with shoes on first. Had to vacuum multiple times. Wpuld have thought that for this price someone would have at least run a vacuum. read more

Contractor bid for 2 days turned into almost a week, tried to keep charging me money for stuff that should have been added into the quote. When the person from home depot shorted us 100ft of quarter round on the measurements, Steven told me I would have to buy the material myself, instead of them talking with home depot and figuring out why I was shorted on a quote that we Paid In Full up front. Home depot is as equally bad, they wouldnt help me figure out why they shorted me on the measurements, and told me Romanov would have to call, Steven was told and told me that I'd have to pay for it EVEN THO THE STORE SHORTED ME, then I Jesus the contractor even looked up the store had what i needed but couldnt even go get it and bring me a receipt? They got to leave early at like 2 in the middle of the day because they couldnt go 2 miles up the street and get it while I was at work. I've missed work, and had to make arrangements for animals 5 days that we didnt plan now. And it seems everyday they find something wrong AGAIN! If we were not a week away from having a baby I would be fighting this contract and shady business every step but I dont have time to deal with it because I NEED THIS DONE, it was supposed to be 2 days 3 tops not a week! I have recently had Romanoff renovations put wood flooring in my daughter's condo. It was a job that we went through Home Depot. Romanoff sent two gentleman to lay wood flooring in the hallway of the condo. The two gentlemen that came to do the work were Spanish-speaking only. It was very difficult to communicate with them, and them communicate with me. Therefore, I was never instructed of any possible problems during the project. At no time was there ever an English-speaking person to oversee or to talk with me about what was going on. As it turned out, two hallway double sliding doors that covered the closets were not able to be put back up. No one told me that this could possibly happen. The doors were taken down and the wood flooring put in. When the job was complete we realized that the doors were laying against the wall in another room. As I voiced my concern the gentleman could not communicate with me and they left without putting the doors back up. My daughter and her husband were very stressed about not having closet doors. I talked with their manager Steve about the situation. He basically told me it was in our agreement(apparently a thick booklet that we were given)that this could happen and there was nothing that he could do about it. He then proceeded to tell me to talk with Home Depot , and that it would have to be their problem. When I contacted Home Depot they were very sorry and concerned about what happened. They told me that someone should have mentioned that this might cause the doors not to go back up. Home Depot is trying hard to solve the problem and to correct it. I have never heard another word from Steve or the Romanoff company. He willingly left us in a mess with having to now buy new doors. Had I been told that this might happen, we would've come up with a different solution before it was over. I am very disappointed in this company and I would not recommend them to anyone. The gentlemen that put the floor down did a nice job for that I can't complain. However, I was treated very badly and disregarded when a problem arose. read more
