Two weeks ago.I ordered steak and cheese sub. Zero cheese. I called to inform the staff there was zero cheese. A lady barked at me and said she made the sandwich. We ordered pizza today but I wanted to talk about steak and cheese without cheese. I showed her sandwich pictures zero cheese. I asked to speak to her boss! She is the boss. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich. There was no cheese on the sub roll. I've been to the establishment for some time. Last night we got steak and cheese, steak, bomb, and onion rings. The steak and cheese was definitely better than last time. The last time it was very salty and the onion rings were not overcooked.! Sometimes when I get onion rings the edge are burnt. I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The staff friendly and fast. The subs and wrap are hot, fresh and delicious. I bought a large pork cutlet Parmesan sub with provolone. I thought it was excellent through the roof phenomenal and don't get me wrong it was very very good but to be honest with you to spend $12.68 I think is a little high for pork cutlet maybe if it was veal cutlet that would be a different story. I've ordered from here quite a few times once moving to Haverhill. The food is good. It's not horrible but it's basically the best you can get for delivery in the Haverhill area. I'm writing this review tonight because I just received food from here and was pretty shocked by the delivery driver we just had. A young kid who's car was so obnoxiously annoying that I almost called to complain. His engine was so loud we heard it coming down our street and made a comment, only to realize the very car was in our driveway. When he left, he revved his engine several times, each time louder and louder. We heard the car for a good minute after he left. Onion rings stand out and are 10/10. They do make them themselves like the sauce and pizza dough. However, the rest of the food is okay nothing special at all, pizza is fine. Not the biggest fan of the bread they use either which is Tripolis for subs. The food is also way overpriced and misleading. Why pay sit-down restaurant prices for food that is lower quality? Not sure if it's the same today but I always used to notice too that it's actually cheaper to get to large subs than the 18-inch and you got more food. It was that or just getting a large and small which was 18 inches was cheaper. Another thing to consider too a chicken parm pizza is a cheese pizza with chicken fingers on it. Why is that a specialty pizza on the menu for like 19 dollars but a large one with one topping of chicken fingers is cheaper? The manager Dawn is always rude, the owner isn't the most pleasant guy himself. Haven't been there in years for these reasons, had friends who worked there at the time but who knows maybe ill want some onion rings in passing. read more

This place is a classic sub shop. Definitely a favorite since I was a kid and one place whose phone number is forever burned into my memory. Recently I was visiting my folks when I got a hankering for a chicken finger sub. Yes - I could get this sub at most pizza/sub establishments, but seeing as I was in Methuen I had to go to Romano's. My sub was so tempting that my fella got the same and we shared a small fry. It was everything I remembered. Fried chicken fingers on a crusty sub roll with all the fix-ins. Yum. My one disappointment (which could have been easily fixed, but I was too lazy/hungry) was I asked for hots and there were no hots. Ah well. I think the fries more than made up for it - a nice crispy thick cut (but not "steak" cut) potato. Mmmmm. The employees are great. Friendly and courteous - what more can you ask for? read more

I sadly have to take a star away from this place. We go here often and the last few times were simply not that great. They recently did the eat-in area over, not sure if this place has new management too. Anyways, I felt like getting a meatball sub a few weeks ago and was not impressed. I ate it, but I would never get a meatball anything from them again. This place also seems to have a problem with adding cheese to a steak & cheese sub. Even when you order extra cheese, the cheese is barely noticeable. I have tried a regular steak & cheese and was left wondering where the cheese was myself. However, when you ask for extra cheese and are charged extra ( I believe a $1.00 on a large sub) you should be able to notice the cheese. I will still come here for Pizza, but my wife refuses to come here again. Luckily we found another place up the street that makes a good steak & cheese and is cheaper too. read more

I don't live near Romanos but when I'm in that area and I'm by there quite often, I have to STOP in & bring home lunch or dinner. Romanos pizza is the best thin pizza outside of Boston and the surrounding area, their sandwiches every time I go if I get a Sub or Wrap ingredients always fresh and plent of it. They have a great selection of salads, and they even have fresh Haddock plates as good or better than most Seafood restaurants. They even deliver. I can't find a bad thing about this place. I hail from a place where the sandwich is king. Massachusetts food has many virtues, but for the most part, sub sandwiches are not among them - after many attempts in restaurants all over New England, fighting my way through the greasy cheesesteaks and subs that were soaked through with oil and vinegar after three bites, I realized that I was doomed to disappointment, and sadly removed the long sandwich from my diet. Along with Fusion House, Piro's, and the brand new Bangkok To Go, Romano's is part of a very tasty quadrangle of restaurants in Methuen that threatens to use up all of my disposable income and make me fat. They have been around now for easily 10-15 years. I don't love their pizza in fact I am not a huge fan of it but what I do love is their subs and salads. They are so fresh and so fantastic! Plus, the syrian bread they give you is freshly baked pizza crust dough. So good! Lots of people love their pizzas though, my family included but for me it is just meh..... I recently had the Greek salad and it was as good as I remember. I loved it so much. It isn't anything fancy but all the ingredients are fresh and the portions are quite big for the money. Oh, and it is quite inexpensive by the way. My little brother was complaining that they have been messing up a bit lately but I am not sure if that is true or not. I do know that they messed up my little brothers sub and forgot one of the salad dressings. My husband loved the sub that he got and he thought the pizza was just OK, not anything great. Besides their pizza I highly recommend their vast selection of subs and wraps which are made exactly how you want them and the ingredients are always fresh, and they also have a pretty large seafood menu for a pizza place. Growing up, I never really knew this place existed until my neighbors bought it around 1991 and we'd always get together and have it at birthday parties, several times a week when they'd buy it, et. One of the best pizza's in the area. A few years ago, they re-modeled the place and it looks a lot nicer, too in the diningroom section. Their sauce is very good. Not as good as Tripolis, but it is very good! In recent years, they've added more different assortments of pizzas, including BBQ chicken, and that's one of my favorites. Drive from Atkinson Nh for pickups and it's always worth it! Most recent visit was 5/28/20. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, Cesar wrap, a Cajun French fry and regular French fry. Wraps have just enough dressing and small fries are more than enough for one person. Pick up went smoothly and was amazed how organized the kitchen was, seeing how well they all worked together!
