We were in the Dover area to visit family and after a heavy Thanksgiving meal, we wanted pizza for the day after! We were thankful that they were open as other pizzerias were closed the day after the holiday. We called them to order two large pizzas with garlic knots and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes! Wow! We gave them a few extra minutes and all our food was ready on time, as promised. We drove it home, took a look inside the boxes, and knew that we were in for some good pizza. The crust was really good and crisp. It's a perfect medium between thick and thin. Excellent food, excellent service, very clean, but very overpriced. Chicken, lettuce, and beans should never be so expensive.

I visited this place during business hours and they were closed and nobody appeared to be inside. Furthermore they claim to be an Italian restaurant and pizzeria but the outside of the restaurant has a bunch of pictures of Mexican food! Is this place even real? Perhaps it closed and was taken over by a new business that is under construction? Who knows. But anyway they weren't open when they were supposed to be and who knows if those good looking pizzas are even real. read more

This place is very close to my work place. Multiple state offices around here. It's Italian cuisine with Mexican flavors. I 've had their garlic knots and love it. Sometimes take them home too. There is pizza by the slice. Really big slice and very tasty. They offer tacos and burritos as well. Never had them but rest of the stuff is tasty. Ambiance is casual. They offer delivery and are usually very busy with their orders. They have a small dine-in seating area where you can see them cool food or you can sit in adjacent seating area. That's big space. Today I ordered chicken fajita calzone. The size was huge and big enough for one person. Came loaded with meat and cheese with a side of marinara sauce. This place never disappoints me. There is parking in front of the restaurant. Highly recommend this place. read more

I have been here for pick up and delivery and haven't been disappointed I've been here multiple times, it's my cheat meal everytime I want just some good ole fashion pizza, of course the pizza is great and usually always comes hot to my door, it has such a unique taste I haven't tasted anywhere else that is just so good, the calzone (I get it with chicken) is really good too, dip that into some marinara sauce perfection, and the romanos fries is a no brainer amazing fries with two cheeses and bacon can't get any more un healthy then that lol, good food good service, they do take some time to get to the place but I rather they take their time and give good food then to not and give me half baked stuff, the boneless wings as well very nice. This menu sat in our menu drawer for a while and we had never ordered from Romano's until this past weekend. My husband ordered the Carne Asada meal and he loved it. I had the the Deluxe Pizza and added chicken and ricotta and it is the best pizza I ever ate. The pizza arrived hot and the crust was crispy. The food was so good, we ordered again last night and I had the mussels in red sauce and a chicken chimichanga - OMG true Mexican flavors. My husband had wings with the mango habinero sauce and a variety of tacos and we were so impressed. GREAT FOOD AND PROMPT SERVICE. Our new favorite place to eat!!! DEFINITE MUST TRY!!! read more

Being from California, this probably has some of the best Mexican food in Dover in my opinion. The burritos taste fresh and remind me of something I would get from a taco truck back home. And the pizza is also pretty crispy and kinda like NY style, loaded with toppings. read more

this is the best place for fast delivery and delicious food in the area. Everything we've tried is fresh and tasty. I don't even like Stromboli's but the one here is aesthetically beautiful and has amazing flavor. The wrap is good and thick; I just wish there was someway for the actual wrap to not get soggy (but I find this to be an issue with any wrap from anywhere if the meat is freshly cooked). The hot buffalo wings are almost perfect: they actually put enough sauce, and it is spicy. We've had a few tacos which were good but nothing to write home about, I'll try them again though. Fries and fried shrimp are decent. A huge plus is they actually get your order right, even when customized. I despise it when you give takeout places specific directions and then when your food arrives it is clear the person who took the order did not care to listen. This is not the case with Romano's. From now on when I am stuck in pitiful Dover, DE I will only order from here. read more

The food is always amazing and very consistent. We were stationed overseas and traveled to Italy and devoured the pizza over there. I can honestly say Romano's pizza reminds us of Italy, the flavors are yummy and the ingredients taste so fresh. I used to go here all the time, so I started back. My experience with them has been inconsistent. Some of their food like the spaghetti is so good. Then other things like the ziti and crab cake sandwich are not the best dish . The ziti cheese is really overwhelming and not in a good way. I don't think all the cheese blends correctly. Additionally the crab cake sandwich has no flavor what's so ever, then it's put in sandwich form and it's this big ass sandwich surrounding this little ass crab cake. read more

Hands down the best thin crust Pizza in Dover! All of their Italian and Mexican dishes are excellent as well. This a a "tale of two cities ", so to speak. I and my family are recent new customers. I will say that the food is on the norm, very good. The unfortunate part is that their attitude toward customer service is atrocious! I've had two mistakes in 6 orders. One major issue, one minor. Sadly in both cases, when I called to ask for corrective action, both the order taker and the self identified owner offered attitude and never an apology. I hate turning away from good food but I work too hard for my money to literally pay someone to be rude and disrespectful to me when they fail in their responsibilities to me.
