My husband and I moved away in 2018 and have thought about and craved romas EVERY SINGLE TIME we get pizza ever since. We miss it so much. The sauce is sweet and the cheese is so thick and amazing. The cheesebread was my favorite with the dipping sauce. I'd do anything to somehow teleport the pizza here to us now. We moved to Virginia Beach and couldn't find anything remotely similar there and now we are living in San Diego & I'm searching once again for something similar. read more

TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS. My mother called to let them know they shorted her a ravioli dinner when she ordered carryout. They took her name and number and said she could pick up the dinner on her next visit. Their negligence and a big inconvenience, but ok, accidents happen. Fast forward one month, we place another order and when she mentions the dinner she is owed, they told her that since it's been longer than 2 weeks they will not replace the dinner. The hostess even talked to the manager about it but THE MANAGER REFUSED TO GIVE MY MOM THE MEAL SHE ALREADY PAID FOR AND DIDN'T RECEIVE. They never told her about any 2 week window on her first call, so now she's just SOL because of THEIR mistake. Swindlers. But their loss in the long game...this greed and deception means they've lost all future business from 5 different households in our family. read more

Over 2 decades since last visit, a very great experience. With both Frank's and JJs in Wyandotte closed, this decades old place worthy of a new visit. The Facebook page got me in for Low Lunch Prices, really great deals. A Italian Sausage Sub with House Cut Fries only $8 a mega deal . Order of Mega size Chicken Wings only $9 , these are fantastic in Garlic Parmesan Sauce . Had a couple mega slices only $3.50 everyday, one with Sweet Sauce and other plain sauce. Ruined my wedding by forgetting my order and offered a cheese bread as a consolation. we ordered 48 hours in advance and had an order over $200. When my husband called to talk to the owner, he was too busy. Sad since we used to use them for athletic events for school. No longer. Horrible customer service. read more

Our 2nd visit was better than the first, although we have had good experiences both times. We have come in 2 times for the kids make your own pizza. The first time they were so busy, our pizza was given away to the wrong person. We were put in their book to redeem a free pizza on our next visit. Our next visit is 2 months later and we enjoyed a large extra special round pizza and an antipasta salad while my toddler made her own pizza. We tried the LESS SWEET sauce, which they just rolled out. My toddler had the sweet sauce and she likes it. The antipasta salad was sooo good. A great amount of toppings. Fresh tomatoes. So much cheese and salami. I get ranch with my salad because the house dressing is sweet. The crust on the pizzas are DELISH. So airy and crispy and tastes good. The cheese is hand shredded as obvious cuz of how its grated its block cheese. The meltability and stretch of the cheese is amazing. I like that they bring out bread and butter like old school places use to. Our server Jackie was great. She was very attentive and so sweet to our kid. She was very polite. Called in for delivery of a large pizza, well done with sausage pepperoni mushrooms and added jalapeno on half with garlic crust. I repeated I wanted it well done but not burnt so it's not doughy in the middle..... We get our pizza with toppings listed only on half and jalapeno on the other half, no garlic crust and raw in the middle. Called back and the young lady who answered the phone read my ticket back to me the way it was wrongly sent, apologized and ended the call. $27.00 in the trash can. Have not ordered from here in a very long time and will not be ordering at anytime in the near future. There's a reason this place has two and a half stars and it's because the food is terrible the people are worse. This is the second worst pizza downriver in my opinion after trying at least 100 different pizzas in the immediate area and have made a ton more. There is way too much dough, a sloppy mess of toppings, and the sauce tastes like there is more sugar than tomatoes in it. The biggest issue is the dough; because they are using 2-3x too much dough it takes FOREVER to cook. We waited 45 minutes for a sub and a couple pizzas. The waitress decided it was a good idea to bring everything out in 15 minute increments so everything was cold by the time the food was on the table. Along with that they just completely forgot one of the pizzas. The staff instead of realizing how terrible of an experience we were provided decided to be highly confrontational. If I were you I would go literally anywhere else for pizza, you're going to either hate it or leave hungry. read more

Horrible service!! We actually didn't even get to order. The hostess directed us to a table (not even walking us there) and said she would bring over menus. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes, no one even approached at all to even apologize or to say sorry I'll be right there. The hostess standing at the front doing nothing several other employees standing around doing nothing but they claimed to be busy. We heard other tables grumble about the bad service. I was scrolling through local restaurants and was super surprised that such a staple had such a bad rating, so came to give my slice to help boost it up. My family is big. When we get together there are a lot of mouths to feed, and a few big appetites. Roma's has been a go to in our family for many years. We LOVE their pizza (the sweet sauce compliments the cheese and delicious crust), we often get their antipasto salad (the dressing is very sweet but with the combination of veggies, cheese, and meat it's quite a treat). You order an hour before you need it, because they get busy. Be patient. I am super picky, and on more than one occasion they have excelled in accommodating me. I don't think I have ever eaten in here, but with as busy as their carryout business is, I would assume having it straight out of the kitchen is even better. read more

I went last Friday with my family, including my two granddaughters. The place is a bit terrible and looks like it's from the 1960s and was somewhat empty of customers. The waitress, who was somewhat friendly, served us very well. The order we ordered to start was bread with cheese on top, it wasn't bad, but... the pizza we ordered was a Roma's Special XL... too wide, it had no tomato sauce, raw parts, and it was even flavorless. The pizza was good enough to warrant my mandatory three time visit parameter. What really stood out as horrible was the dining in experience. We watched as the waitress cleaned tables after guests left and never washed her hands before bringing customers their food. This place needs a designated bus person. While the pizza was interesting enough for another try I would never dine in again. I understand that it is mostly a psychological issue, still the mind races. The best Pizza in Michigan by far and I drive 35 min to come there since every Pizza Restaurant in Canton, Michigan sucks! If you haven't been here before, please go and support their business! It may take a little longer for the pizza after you order it! It is worth every minute! The anti-pasta salad is the best and biggest and has the best sweetest house dressing you will ever taste! Their pizza sauce and dough is incredible! We try our best to come here as much as possible! If only I had enough money to start a franchise of this place here in Canton it would be awesome and it would definitely give the other pizza places a run for their money! I continue to be impressed by Romas, and that is amplified with its newer female ownership. The amazing pizza quality - same sauce and high quality ingredients remain the same, but there are improvements in having a pizza making Wednesday for kids and adults and more menu items, including a pizza of the month. There are pizza bowels, gluten-free and vegan cheese options now too. Plus, you can now pay using a credit card! There is a small processing fee, but it beats using an ATM! read more

Worst service and terrible atmosphere. Manager is a real delight to deal with also. Servers are lost in a 1 room restaurant. Don't expect Apps, salads, drinks, food to come out in any specific order. Expect to have servers stand up front and talk while your drink are empty, etc. Ig you ask for something you need; you have a 50 50 chance you might get it. But one asset is they make and have the best Italian Dressing anywhere downriver. Their food when prepared right is above par on a good night. Romas is the pizza you've seen a million times but didn't know you needed! It's slightly different than the usual Detroit style in that the sauce is sweeter and the crust is fluffier. I'm telling you this pizza is the BOMB and the jumbo size can feed a crowd. They absolutely load this pizza up with toppings and I was FULL after three slices. Romas has great tasting pizza. Sadly, the consistency hasn't been there and prices continue to rise. We just ordered the party size, pepperoni pizza. The center of the pizza was this crust, while the edge was an inch thick. Romas use to put a ton of cheese, yesterday the pizza had much less and not a ton of pepperoni. Overall, the quality seems to be dropping, and the prices keep going up. The service, if you're dining in as usually pretty decent. But, don't take a large group. They are not happy if you do. I've actually, had them tell a group, don't come back. What?? They were not loud, disruptive or rowdy. Who turns down customers?? Lastly, take cash. They are a cash only establishment. read more

This place....where to start. 1st - poor service 2nd - used to be cash only but in last year or so they've raised the prices on everything on the menu by leaps and bounds more than any other restaurant in the area and this place isn't even the best pizza in downriver. A XL square went from $16 -$21 and they will still charge you a service fee if you use a credit or debit card. Oh I'm sure they will blame it on "inflation" but I'm also sure those prices won't decrease any. Do yourself favor and for better pizza at less price visit the restaurant up stairs at zodiac raquetball club. Best pizza and pasta downriver, great staff and a lot better pricing than this place. Hands down my favorite Pizza downriver. The sweet sauce is amazing and quite addicting. This is my number one go to pizza place. The only thing that would make it better is if they took a debit/credit cards. Unfortunately they are cash only. I know alot more people who would order from you if you accepted electronic payments. Not to many people carry cash anymore. The only time I have cash is when I stop at the ATM so I can get my delicious Roma pizza. Regardless it's still worth it. read more

This is a large space seating roughly 100 people in the dine-in restaurant portion (they also have a takeout pizza counter right inside the door). Tonight, at 7:15 in the evening there was only one table occupied by a younger couple besides myself. This place has a great square pizza although a little pricey compared to others Downriver but I tried the rigatoni with meatballs. The server was kind enough to swap the usual salad for a bowl of chicken noodle soup instead. The soup had exactly three pieces of chicken that were smaller than the noodles at about an inch in length. It lacked much flavor but the noodles were good. The pasta was lukewarm or even cool around the top and edges with just the center of the plate actually warm and I sent it back to be warmed up. When it was returned it was not much better. It was clearly microwaved but without being mixed up only the center warmed up slightly while the rest was not warm enough. The lack of warmth did nothing to compensate for the lack of flavor in the sauce and the meatballs. Just kinda bland. Perhaps they have newer owners but I hope their pizza is still good. So disappointed. We have been going here and ordering party pizzas for YEARS. We will not order or go anymore. Too many times we have been just totally disappointed. They have "lost" our orders before and we turned the other cheek because, honestly, we just enjoyed the taste of their pizza. But we ordered a party pizza, waited the allotted time to pick up (55 minutes) drive up there too pick up and STILL waited 45 minutes after the time they said. We were not the only ones. Others were complaining they ordered hours in advance and they were greeted by eye rolls by the staff. We took our party pizza home (FINALLY) and it was completely burnt. COMPLETELY. LIKE Unsalvageable. The bottom of the pizza was black. The topping were crunchy. They LITERALLY BOXED THE PIZZA THIS WAY AND KNOWINGLY SENT IT OUT AND CHARGED 30 some DOLLARS. Listen....fine by us‍, there are TONS of great pizza places around. No sweat off our brow to stop funding a local business and throw our hard earned cash and appetites elsewhere. ‍This place is Completely unapologetic also. I have heard stories from friends when they have heard we still patronize Roma's. Take my honest advice. Go to Baldo's in Brownstown, Frank's in Wyandotte, Pia's in Taylor, B.C.'s. in Lincoln Park, Foggia's in Southgate, Vito's in Lincoln park, Buddy's in Woodhaven or even Tormina's.... Or heck....if you don't care about supporting local just get yourself Jet's, Happy's, Hungry Howie's or even a dang party store pizza for pete's sake. Roma's used to be good....but sadly things don't always stay the same. I mean....look at the pictures.....I try to give breaks; but this is just Eye-rolling. They are kidding right!? We could have got almost 6 hot & readys and they would have still been better than this crap.
