Drove my car home, check engine light still on, and it didn't even make it the 5 minute drive home. Brought the car BACK in, asked for an estimate, still waiting for a response. They offered no discounts or anything, despite my problem not being fixed. If my car was able to make the drive to any other mechanic, I'd take it elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Having used many other mechanical companies both large and small I can without a doubt tell you that every single other shop we have used either overcharge/ up charge erroneously, misdiagnose, or do the minimum possible while promising the highest quality. With Chris being located in paw paw the drive/ tow from Kalamazoo was discouraging, but only initially. Our relationship with Chris has grown to the point of complete confidence and trust. Chris not only knows an astonishing amount about anything from simple repairs all the way to high performance! But most importantly Chris is a genuinely good person who means well and actually cares about the well being of his customers! Not only that Chris is a local Firefighter, which in my opinion is one of the most selfless things a person can do. I used to live in Bangor and they were my go-to mechanics then.....15 yrs ago...and I am pleased to say...they still have the awesome customer service. Same friendly staff and willingness to help. The drove TO ME aired up my tire so I could drive to their shop...they fixed my tire very reasonably and had me in/out all within an hour. How awesome is that??? I showed up the next day around 10 am, and the receptionist walks in holding groceries and when I just politely said that I was there to pick up my car she goes, "Well I just walked in the door," very rudely. She was EXTREMELY rude to me the entire time and acted like I was the biggest inconvenience for showing up during their hours. She just hands me my key and says "Here." I asked her what was wrong with it (because that's why I went there in the first place) and she told me that there was a timing chain issue and they don't work on those for my motor there and then said "oh and something about a wheel bearing." Very frustrating that my car was there for over 24 hours to barely get an answer with no diagnostic report, nothing. The blonde lady up front is very rude and unhelpful. Everything there seems extremely unorganized and no one knows what's going on. The only reason I gave two stars was because they didn't charge me, which was nice. But very frustrating that I waited a week for an appointment, and went a day without my car for pretty much nothing and to be treated like an inconvenience. I would not recommend this place at all.

This review is based on interactions with the body shop at the dealership…read more I hit a deer in a 2009 Ford Focus. The bumper was cracked half off and a fender was damaged pretty bad. Insurance wanted to total it out, even though it still ran fine. However, my grandfather gave me the car a year prior with just 35k miles, and had just passed away the week before, so I didn't want to just let it go. Cris, the gentleman in the body shop office, took it upon himself to make me an estimate, call my insurance company, and then have my insurance adjuster come out to assess the damage personally. Because of this action (and because of the condition and low miles of the car), the insurance company agreed to repair the vehicle. Bear in mind that the body shop had no "skin in the game," as I didn't necessarily intend to use them for the work (just getting an estimate), and did not have to waste their time at all with me, but Cris did. He was also kind and empathetic to my situation and asked nothing in return. That!! Is customer service, and the selflessness we should all exhibit when situations call for it--to offer help without expecting anything in return!

Absolutely worst place to get diagnosed problems on any car. Went in four times and got three…read morealignments done after they told me five different parts that should be repaired. First they did alignments when they should not have because my tie rod outer, front shock assembly and inner tie rod needed to be fix and still proceeded to do alignments. Each visit they told me different parts that needed repair and did alignments on those bad parts. Mind you they keep charging me every time for their mistakes. I fixed everything they said was wrong and still had the problem. And again to give them if the benefit of the doubt I went one last time after replacing all the parts to see why I'm still having problems for them to say it only needed a front lower control arm. Only go for oil changes that's all they are good at and can't mess up.
