Our entire experience with Ron, Darlene, Matt, and their crew was outstanding. The quote was very reasonable, Darlene coordinated everything, and the work was excellent. I had a leak in my roof that no contractor seemed to be able to confidently locate. That is until I called Ron Ferris and Son Roofers. I called their office and Darlene answered the phone and I explained my frustration to her. She was SO SYMPATHETIC to my situation. Even though they were VERY backed up with jobs she assured me that Ron would stop by and look at the situation and do something to help out. Sure enough she called about a week later and said that Ron would be there shortly. When he arrived the first thing he wanted to do was climb up on the roof to take a look. I told him that since my roof was 20 years old I would be open to a complete re-roof. After looking at the roof he said it appeared to be in decent shape but he had some ideas about where the leak might be. I could tell right away that I was talking to an honest man who really wanted to help me out. We agreed that he would try a few things that day to slow the leak if I would agree to committing to a new roof when I was ready and he had the time. We shook hands and I felt better immediately. Ron spent 3-4 hrs that day trying to locate and FIX the leak. No charge!! He took some measurements and told me that Darlene would get me a quote in a couple of days. She emailed a detailed quote a couple of days later and it was VERY FAIR. I told her that I was ready to go whenever they were and signed the contract. She told me to call anytime if there were any further problems with leaking. Sure enough a couple weeks later we had a LONG HEAVY rainstorm. I got my bucket out and held my breath. Full transparency... it did leak a bit but was 80-90% better than before. I could live with that because I knew that they would do whatever they could to get my new roof on as quickly as possible. Sure enough I got the call soon afterwards that they were ready for me and would be there in two days. Ron, his son Matt and the rest of the crew showed up promptly at 8 am and positioned their equipment and got right to work. Matt and the crew worked through 4 days of lousy weather without one complaint!! Dodging raindrops and high winds they kept adjusting to maintain safety and just kept working. You can tell that these guys really do love their jobs. Matt really set the example for his crew. He is a very responsible and friendly man who loves to work. No corners were ever cut. Just the opposite. They really do strive for perfection. Obviously they have all learned well from Ron's almost 40 years of quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction. Matt is his "father's son" and the tradition continues in good hands with Matt. I get the sense that they treat their employees very respectfully and fairly. It pays off!! My roof turned out beautifully and I could not be happier!!
