This is a great beach store with a lot of inventory to checkout. Two floors of merchandise. Don't worry they have an elevator if you don't want to walk up the giant stairs to the second floor. This place is insane... Our ship docked in Port Canaveral and we took an excursion to Cocoa Beach, rather than stay on board for the day. 20 minutes later we landed (by shuttle bus) in front of Ron Jon. I have never seen so many fun items under one roof. Besides the surfing and skateboarding essentials, they had every logical accessory in the world. The store is three big bright levels of everything. The team here was incredibly helpful and friendly. The ultimate surf shop. I am so glad we decided to come here. It's also a 24 hour location. Honestly, not sure why but I guess they have good reasons for it. Clothing, shoes, sun glasses, watches, go pros and I'm sure there was more that I did not see. For me, today, it was the ultimate souvenir shop... Hats, baby clothing, shot glasses and key chains. I mean, I come from New York so I should not be surprised by these kinds of stores but there was just something about the energy here. While a lot of their clothing was not inexpensive, it was an extensive array and excellent quality merchandise. Lots of different brands here very nicely displayed. I did think that a lot of their "classic souvenirs" were favorable priced and in ample supply. This is a really cool store to shop in if you are looking for swimsuits, surfing gear, or even just gifts for friends and family while visiting the Space Coast/ Cocoa Beach area. It also has a nice hotel attached to the store (the Four Points by Sheraton) and last I checked, this was the nicest hotel in the area that I found that allows animals! Just something to keep in kind for future (or current) vacation references! read more

WOW!! I am in my 50's and since I was in 6th grade I have wanted to stop here. Having family on the West coast we would drive down and always see the signs. Well the day finally arrived and WOW!! Super friendly staff. More than I expected inside. Great prices. They even have sales. Got a very comfortable pair of strap on sandals for $14. Did not want to take them off. They not only have Ron Jon items but O'Neil, Hurley, Roxy, Dakine and more of your top surf brands. Make sure to go to the North side of the building so you do not miss out on the outside surfboard photo op. There are also 2 photo ops when you enter from the front door. When you check out they even offer a free Ron Jon sticker. Besides shirts, boards they do have toys fro children and some really nice home devote "beach" theme items too. We came here because we were supposed to go to Kennedy Space Center but the weather was so awful. We always heard about this original surf shop so it was a good excuse to see it. It was huge. It has everything in it from clothes, balls, surf boards and other kitchy items. You could get lost in the store. The customer service was very good as we had a lot of questions about the boards and they patiently explained the answers to my daughter. It's always fun to explore these kind of places! Dropped in once I realized it was just a mile down the road from Lori Wilson park where I watched the launch to send 2 astronauts to the space station which was one of the coolest things I've seen. Ask for "Big Wave" Dave! I've been surfing for over 40 years and went in for a fun shape board that I could ride and teach my son on. I knew what I wanted, but had a couple of questions about the specific board. Dave is their surf instructor and was helping another gentleman in his 20s that was just getting into surfing. He spent about 20 minutes with him explaining the differences in boards and what was best for a beginner. He didn't try to sell the most expensive board, he wanted to make sure the customer got a board that would work for him and ensure he had fun. He hit all the right points and knew exactly what he was talking about. My son and I listened as he asked all the right questions and gave great advice. When Dave was done with the other customer, he came over to my son and I and politely thanked us for our patience. I was stoked to wait because my son got to see a really knowledgeable surfer help someone who was just starting out. Dave answered my questions and just made the whole experience awesome. I had seen a comparable board at a competitor that was cheaper, but because of the knowledge and time Dave gave to us AND because it was an awesome board, I bought the board from Dave. Road Trip! One of my favorite drives is up A1A from South Florida to Cocoa Beach. I took this trip in many different vehicles including one friends Woody. I even took it with my parents when I was growing up. Every trip includes a look through Ron Jon Surf Shop. I remember when the surf shop was a small store. Look how far it's come. This was my favorite place for surfing supplies in high school. Now I just go for the memories and a souvenir. If you're like me and love anything beach, or enjoy water sports, you need to stop and shop here. It's a tourist spot for sure. It's historic to me! I can't wait to visit again. The campus is huge and has a few stores, food, rentals, and a hotel. I thought it was just the first store attached to the hotel, but it was a lot more. I only checked out one store and it was large. There are tons of clothes and trinkets. I found my kids a stone turtle magnet, but there were all kinds of toys and beach boards and skateboards as well. I go to Cocoa Beach around 3 times per year so I have higher expectations since I've been here so often. But the first thing I walk into Ron Jon's is that they restocked everything. Because I was looking for a t-shirt,swim trunks (board shorts), and a couple of nick-nacks. So then what do I do I go to the key chains section and get like 1-2 of them then I go to get a few more nick-nacks which costed around $3 per. Then I went to the swim trunks section and get them (they have great variety). And last but not least I got carried away and I bought a few T-shirts instead of one. But they were on the pricey side of things. The average price of the T-shirts are around $45 but the swim suits are around 20 bucks so that was nice. Overall it was 181.75 for all like I said a little on the pricey side but still great. Also if you ask for some extra stickers they will give you some! Great experience. read more

When you think "surf shop" you probably envision some small, low lit shack with one "totally tubular" employee wishin' he was out ridin' the waves. Righteous....Well when you think of Ron Jon Surf Shop (especially this one) think again! There are Ron Jon's scattered all over the place (I even saw one in Las Vegas...yeah I don't get it either), but nothing compares to the Cocoa Beach location. It's huge. HUGE (capital letters are needed). Two floors with oodles of clothing, sunglasses, shoes, house decor, toys, and oh yeah, surf gear! Now I'm not one to find myself on a board out in the ocean, but even so, it's just fun to stop in and walk around the place (at any hour, 24/7). Each time I find myself in Cape Canaveral (including this past summer) we drive down to Cocoa Beach and spend some time strolling inside. You can even check out the exterior to find some cool "sand-like" sculptures. It's like an experience from start to finish. Having said all that, I can't say I've really ever bought too much here. I like collecting the signature Ron Jon sticker, and every now and then there's a souvenir to be had, but mostly it suffices as a place to look, not buy. I suppose if I lived in Florida or near any RJ, I might be more inclined to purchase stuff, but for now, let's just stick with that, um, sticker. Overall, Ron Jon Surf Shop of Cocoa Beach is a gargantuan place worthy of visiting, whether you surf or never go in the water. Now if you're in need of some gear, then it definitely fills out five stars. For me, it's a solid four and a return trip if nothing more than something to do. Gnarly. read more

A trip to Cocoa Beach wouldn't be complete without a trip to the original Ron Jon's. We're not surfers, but you definitely had to come here to see the one that started them all. There is a non-stop collection of anything related to fun and the water - surfboards, knee boards, skateboards, clothing, swimming equipment, swimsuits, water toys and much more. I had no idea really how much could go into a store like this. The outside should have told me everything I wanted to know, but the inside finished the story for me. The store is beautiful inside and out and as you have read, the offerings are huge. Social distancing is provided, as is hand sanitizer, and the staff that I interacted with was able to answer any and all questions. It did appear that the store was down in the number of shoppers. It definitely was able to hold more customers than it did, but the uncrowded environment made the shopping even more pleasant. read more

I live a five minute walk from Ron Jon surf shop. The owners have obviously taken considerable trouble to make this an attractive store, both inside and around it environs. The exterior is interesting. When sending friends and family photographs, I often joke that this is "downtown Cocoa Beach." Parking is very ample both for cars and buses. And again, the owners have made the parking areas attractive with special board, walks and gazebos. Inside. An absolutely astounding array of products greets one. Every sort of beach wear To boogie boards and other surfing accessories to touristy things like mugs and necklaces, etc. etc. the amount of products in this store is truly remarkable! I have bought just a couple of articles of clothing. But I have looked over the selection and The prices seem very reasonable. The staff is helpful. So, if you find yourself in "downtown, Cocoa Beach" - - The intersection of route, A1A and State Road 250. If nothing else, just do a walk-through to familiarize yourself with the store. I really don't think you can go wrong at Ron Jon. I hardly recommend them. read more

They also have a restaurant and Starbucks attached to them, if you have interest. The store is large and has a ton of merch. It's air conditioned and well laid out for easy shopping. The prices are high, but it's at the beach and convenient, so not surprising it's a higher price. They do have sale and clearance racks, so check those out, too! Who doesn't love Ron Jons? If you are from Florida and have never been, are you really a Floridian? I can say it is one of the most iconic stores in Florida or even America. Mind you it is super touristy and overpriced, but everything is high quality. I personally wouldn't buy a lot of things there due to how overpriced it is, but it is worth the experience to see. Plus having your own Ron Jon Surf Shop shirt is the key to true Florida wear. There are some clearance racks, but it does not compare to buying from another store. However, if you ever need anything related to the water lifestyle, you are guaranteed to find it there! The store is huge and two stories, so be sure you check everything out. We were easily there an hour but could've stayed much longer. Parking can be kinda hard to find, even though they have their own spaces. If you are in Cocoa Beach, it is a must-see place. read more

Seriously, I have been to Ron Jon surf shops in multiple cities and they are all kind of a tourist gift shop type dump...This place rocked!! This was like an upscale version of the shop with real surf boards, and name brand clothing items. I am a surfer and have been looking for a fish board for a while and was not impressed with their selection of boards. The clothing selections where outstanding! My wife and I both found a number of items we liked and purchased. This was very much unlike any of the other dumpy Ron Jon shops I have seen in other cities. This place was awesome and did not feel like a bad tourist gift shop or place to get a last minute swimsuit because you forgot your speedo. This is a legit shopping experience. When I got there Shannon argued with me saying they were single units (WHICH THEY DO NOT EVEN SELL/THEY SELL PAIRS). After belittling me and be extremely rude, she was still refusing. Then manager Dallas came over and helped none. Finally after wasting my time, the floor manager came over. She went upstairs to the skateshop and confirmed that I WAS RIGHT. This is the mother ship of all Ron Jon's it's so big! Everyone here is so nice and accommodating, especially Art. He really helped us big time on picking out surf boards and such. Where it all started. Huge place with a good variety of all things beach. I'd say 75% apparel. A lot of quality original items you won't get in the cheap touristy joints. Some pricy, some not, but over all a bit on the high side for the name brand stuff. The "RonJon" brands were all priced to sell and from what I could see their quality was above average for off brand apparel. An hour goes by fast here. Did I mention it's huge. Everything the reviews say is true- two huge multi story buildings full of Ron John branded tourist souvenirs, beach wear and beach accessories for EVERY ONE. There are some clearance racks but they are pretty basic, otherwise expect to pay premium for your products but they do seem to be good quality. I know Ron Jon is known up and down the east coast, and I know that this is the beachfront epicenter, as opposed to the Orlando store. And, no doubt, this store has an amazing selection of every main brand of surf, skate, or beachwear. They have anything you might need for a day at the beach, and lots of cool things you might not need. Surfboards? How many do you need? Lessons? Yup. Sunblock, shades, or skateboards? Selection. It is here. What I have never done, in 12 years of visits, is purchase anything. I have a swimsuit, I don't buy expensive shades, and my need to be a Ronjonian billboard does not motivate. It's like shopping at FAO Swartz in NYC...fun to look, entertaining surroundings, but no need to buy. It's like Goodwill shopping...someone else can wear that stuff.
