I will start with positives and anyone who cares to read the rest of the way through can see why I gave it only two star. Starting with the ambience, the restaurant was very nicely done up aesthetically. I will say I think for as much as they are charging, we could probably remove a table or two from the middle section and space the tables out a little bit. We were to close next to each other For that type of environment, but it was a beautiful restaurant inside. The service was really pretty great as long as we don't talk about the manager. The house were very pleasant to interact with. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us many times and got us things we needed before asking. Other weight staff was always nearby if we needed something and people were Collecting dishes from our table promptly. The manager came by to fix our undercooked steak, but never checked back, and I would say never really went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. As far as the food part goes, I am pretty disappointed. We started out with the candy bacon, fried green tomatoes, escargot, and crab cakes. The candy bacon had great flavor, but I would hardly call the meat bacon. It was more like thick ham that had maple syrup on it. The fried green tomatoes were great. The escargot sauce tasted like eating straight garlic. The crabcakes were burnt and the sauce they put with it is Way too spicy and takes away from the flavor of the crabcake. For an entrée, I had the dry aged ribeye with sweet potatoes and onion rings. The dry aged ribeye came out undercooked. It was raw when it was supposed to be medium rare. It did not have a good sear on it, nor was it at temp. I might be ignorant to dry aged steaks, but there was hardly any seasoning or flavor to the steak outside of the dry age part. This stake really could've been elevated with some seasoning of some sort on it. I shouldn't have to pay extra for some sort of sauce to actually make it good. The sweet potato casserole was very tasty but more like a dessert than a side as was very sweet. The onion rings were perfect as they had good flavor and good crunchiness to them. The dessert menu had a lot of things to offer, but I saved my appetite for a different spot. For as much as I paid for this restaurant, I would expect better, but maybe I just was the one customer who got the one bad off experience that night. Just kind of sucked because we were a table of five and celebrating Father's Day.

My My My...LOOK AT ANDERSON! They have this new Steakhouse in Downtown Anderson. We happened to just stumble upon this after doing some errands in Anderson (where I don't live). I had heard that they were sprucing up the DT area and just wanted to see what has been done when we saw this really nice building and it said Steak House, well they had me at that point. We immediately parked (free parking in a lot) and walked in. We were taking a risk because it was around 6pm on a Friday and we didn't have reservations. When we walked up they didn't have any tables but said they could sit us at the downstairs bar or for a little quieter the upstairs bar. Wow two bars? We chose the upstairs bar. The server that was up there was extremely nice. She wasn't very busy up there so she gave us tons of attention. The menu is great! Many options even if you aren't a beef eater and the bonus is it is reasonable prices. When are food came out it was hot and simply amazing! Hands down one of the best steaks I have had. They also have a sweet potato option which is really good, I recommend getting it, but you won't need dessert after it! I will be making the trip back to Anderson just to go here (with reservations). It was pretty busy so there seems to be a lot of excitement about this place. I also learned they have one in Muncie as well.

We had old fashioned and a dirty old fashioned from the bar upstairs Kaiden was a good bar tender. Our steak was cooked to perfection.

Excellent food - superb service, Ellis took care of us like we were family - warm ambience. My favorite go to meal starts with shrimp cocktail, then main course of a 6oz filet, scalloped potatoes, and skillet corn. If you still have room - top it all off with crème brûlée.

We joked we didn't know who owned the place because every person there treated it as if it were their own. Super cute bistro vibe- our food was incredible! The shrimp cocktail, is a must! Massive shrimp! The beef Wellington bites, absolutely next level!! So glad we ordered those- they were the best! The tomato bisque soup came with a little grilled cheese sandwich - such a great touch! It was also one of the best tomato bisque soups we've had. Nailed it! The french onion soup was unlike anything we've ever had before, and incredible! The croissant toast with the cheese was such a treat! We were in town for a babyshower and wanted to grab a quick lunch- or a couple apps, and a glass of wine before as the shower was more snacks. The suggestions for us were wonderful. I'm sure it's great for dinner too! This place was above and beyond across the board and we can't wait to come back when we meet the new baby! We aren't from Pendleton, but raved to all at the shower that if they were local, they must check it out! Amazing spot! Thank you for the wonderful time!

We asked to sit at the sushi bar so we could interact with the sushi chefs but, after being in our seats 10 minutes with no greeting or acknowledgement from the sushi guys we asked our waitress, Moira, who said they don't do that here. . By the way and more importantly, Moira greeted us right away and did everything to make us comfortable including allowing us to move to the patio. It's great out here and they've done a good job trying to hide the traffic on 116th. Here are my impressions: Seating, very comfortable and much nicer than I thought. Ambiance, higher end than I thought after seeing photos Wine, the Sancerre was light, not too sweet, and delicious, nice finish. Seaweed salad, delicious! Delmonte roll, Toro (tuna belly!) absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed it to the last bite. Lobster roll, lots of lobster in a light dressing of kimchi mayo on top of the veggie roll. Presentation, all of the dishes came out looking very appetizing. Dessert, Lemon Possette, is fabulous! Custard like but creamier/looser towards the bottom with jam and fresh tanneries on top. It's difficult to stop eating! Chris, the owner, took the time to stop at our table and have a lovely conversation with us and we're so glad he created this touch of Monterey (CA) here in central Indiana. This restaurant is a definite thumbs up!

I go here every chance I get, and usually forget to take photos of the delicious food!…read more I am so glad i took the advice of the earlier reviews to entice me to try it out the first time (now years ago). This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. There are several other wonderful restaurants in Fortville which is great for me as I have several choices. I never would have guessed that this tiny suburb would have such epic cuisine!

I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
