Filet mignon with twice baked potato off the lunch special menu
    Sharon K.

Our server was very friendly and on top of refills. I got the filet mignon with twice baked potato off the lunch special menu. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and I was not disappointed. Steak was perfect. Juicy and tender. Twice baked potato was seasoned well. All the lunch specials seemed really good. The only complaint was the booth we sat in wasn't cleaned well, small crumbs/grains of salt all over the seat and table. I could feel it as I slid into the booth and put my arms on the table, kinda gross.

The newly opened Barstoner Lounge inside Murphys is a beautiful Speak Easy experience that was decorated gorgeous with every detail of seating, tables and the gorgeous walls designed with very eccentric fabrics. The bathroom blew me away by the decor and the photo of Marilyn to love she's an absolute knockout! We enjoyed the service as we were politely asked how our experience was going. This is a relaxing atmosphere as I met up with a friend and had no distractions with the comfort and sounds of this lounge! Congrats on all of your success Ryan and offering a community an upscale lounge in the suburbs!! We didn't order food this was a fun night with casual drinks and be back for the Big Ten experience and menu this weekend!!

Updating my review to say that Luke is the greatest server at Murphy's, possibly the greatest server in the world! We always try to sit in his section because he is so friendly and personable, he always makes us feel welcome. We had a little issue with our appetizer today, but Luke fixed it and made everything better! I really appreciate Luke and everything that he does. I hope he receives the recognition he deserves!!

I love sitting at the bar. Great place to watch a sporting event.

I like Murphy's PubHouse and usually drop in every couple of months with friends for a cocktail and televised sports event. Great steaks, friendly bar staff, and an excellent thin crust pizza. Today I ordered a small sausage and mushroom pizza for take out. As always, the pizza was tasty and cooked just right. With just the right amount of toppings and cheese. Murphy's PubHouse has a wonderful local / neighborhood feel. The staff is "top notch" friendly and work well together. Good food, good service. I'm a happy customer.

Food was excellent! Service was top notch! Highly recommend, and they take reservations! They offer brunch on Sundays from 11-2 with ample items to choose from. Started with the pub pretzels for $8 or $10 if u get both cheese and mustard. Got a delicious burger with crispy bacon and homemade crispy chips!!! The waitress stayed on top of our drinks and was very friendly.

We came here for the first time today & we loved it! The atmosphere is great. The food is excellent. And the service was the best! We had a great server, and Amy was so kind and chatted with us & our son. We had some drinks and food and loved it all. Highly recommend the pretzel & pizza. We will definitely be back! This will be our new spot!

Since I had never been there before, I politely asked the manager for more information. He was very rude and acted frustrated that I had even asked, saying, "Don't you see? Just get a table that's open." I looked around and did not see any available tables, so I asked another employee for help. She was also dismissive and basically told me the same thing: just find an open table. I was the one trying to get information for the rest of my group, and instead of being helpful or welcoming, two employees made me feel like I was bothering them. After that, I laughed, left, and took everyone to another bar where the staff were much friendlier. This was a terrible first impression and very poor customer service. I will not be back.

Service is always great. They have a couple staple beers that are refreshing but they have other options too for non beer drinkers. Food is actually really good. Flatbreads, wings, sandwich's - I'd recommend it all. Meet friend, date night, family over together, or grab dinner before downtown fishers or event center thing - great place for it!

I'm huge on seeing photos before I order (hence me being a YELPer) so I loved the photos on the website. The hostess and our server were friendly. It took a big before the server came over, but the hostess did warn us that he did just have another table seated before us. The beer drinkers in our party enjoyed their beers. We started out with two apps... cheese curds and pretzel bites. When they came to the table, neither looked like they do on the website. On the website the pretzels looked a bit better than something you'd get in a mall, and they stated they came with cheese and mustard. In real time they only had cheese. The cheese curds also looked completely different and were smaller portions than shown online. For our meals we had a burger, a chicken sandwich, and I had the southwest salad. There seemed to be a little miscommunication with our waiter about the dressing for my salad, and that resulted in my salad missing some ingredients but he resolved it. But also of note, the menu listed a "avocado lime vinagrette" and the salad came with a guac that just looked like it was maybe left in the blender a second longer than it should have been. The burger was huge. We all agreed the food was "good" but we wouldn't add it to our list of must haves next time we are in town. The disappointment more came from things that hyped us up on the menu online and in store and then weren't actually the same. :(

Whenever I'm up in this area looking for a place to grab a meal, I always forget about Main Event,…read morea pub & grill on 96th Street not to be confused with 82nd Street's Main Event Entertainment complex. Today, I finally drove down this way BEFORE making a decision about having a late lunch and decided to give the place a try. Main Event sits in a rather long strip center that also houses a Dunkin Donuts, Rita's Frozen Ices, and most recently added a new spot for Sweetie's Gourmet Treats. There's accessible parking almost directly in front of Main Event and a curb cut fairly close. The front door is a glass, 2-sided door that is fairly maneuverable from a wheelchair. You then have a bar area to the right with some more traditional tables toward the back. The only place that a person in a wheelchair could really dine here would be toward the back. There's also a gaming section to the left and a stage area for live music also toward the left. They are known for offering pay-per-view type events along with NFL Ticket games and other sporting events. I arrived about 2pm, well after the traditional lunch hour but it didn't seem to throw them off. Eryn, whom I believe was also working the bar, saw me quickly and visited my table with a friendly demeanor. I always feel weird sitting away from most customers, but most bars are not wheelchair friendly and, in all honesty, I'm not there to socialize. They have a fairly extensive menu, though it's definitely more of your usual pub & grill type sandwiches. I was tempted to try a breaded tenderloin on behalf of fellow Yelper Rick G., but opted for my usual burger. It comes with chips for $7 - you can upgrade to fries for another $1.50. I also ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea. The ambience? It's a bar. Several people have mentioned the smoking. I have to be honest. Even as a non-smoker, I didn't even notice it. However, even recent reviews mention it's a smoking bar. So, I'll trust that's correct and advise you to act accordingly. I will note that probably only a dozen customers were in there at the time I visited - that may have made it more tolerable. There was background music that was audible but not overwhelming, while widescreen televisions were playing sporting events in the silence. I like the occasionally bar atmosphere and, quite honestly, I found it rather enjoyable. I've seen some reviews call this a "dive" bar. I honestly wouldn't call it a dive, though it's certainly a neighborhood bar. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, though I guess on this occasion I actually did. The burger was delivered as ordered and was a generous sized slab o' beef. It was cooked close to medium, not quite my preference, but the toasted bun made everything alright. I stuck with chips and enjoyed them quite a bit. The meal was definitely a solid value. My iced tea was refilled without my having to ask and I was given room to linger. While there's typically a modest delay when you dine at a table in a pub setting, Eryn was friendly and welcoming and I never felt forgotten. While it seemed like everyone else was drinking, I never felt out of place having a fairly traditional meal. Overall, this really worked for me. As a non-smoker, I wasn't bothered by the atmosphere but that could change with a bigger crowd. While seating options for a wheelchair are modestly limited and a bigger crowd may impact navigation, this is certainly an easily workable lunch option and I found those present to be pretty friendly to this stranger. This was what I was in the mood for and both Eryn and Main Event delivered a winning experience for me. If in the area, I'll definitely go back.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
