Stopped in here today for a late lunch. We went in and sat at the bar. They were not real busy. Bartender took our drink order, I had an espresso martini and hubby had a Wee Mac in a can. We placed our lunch order and I ordered the tomato basil soup and the Boom Boom Shrimp off the appetizer menu. The hubby had the Dunked Cuban and fries. Husband said his was ok but nothing he would order again. Mine on the other hand was almost inedible. The shrimp were overcooked to the point of having a slight burnt taste and when you bit into one all of the breading fell off. The tomato basil soup was ok but was lukewarm. My martini was like chocolate milk, not much coffee flavor at all. We would not venture in to try again. read more

We had a local event close by and wanted to get a quick snack late night before the restaurant closed. They were very happy to see us even within an hour of the closing time. Our server was very nice and attentive and kept our drinks full. He took our order and brought everything rapidly. I had the boom boom shrimp, which is really good. Not overly spicy but really great flavors. I got the wedge salad, which is a half of a head of lettuce. I would suggest that you share. This is a nice restaurant and a great local fine that stays open later and doesn't close early. Look forward to coming back soon. read more

We called ahead on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 20 and were welcomed and quickly seated. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. TV's are very abundant with a wide selections of sports to choose from. The menu is wide ranging having something for everyone. I got a 10" pizza with Sausage, pepperoni, and fresh jalapeno, DELICIOUS!! The crust was perfectly cooked and the flavor was wonderful. The draft beer was ice cold ! First time going here, I got them boom boom shrimp. This recipe needs a complete overhaul, precooked shrimp breaded, burnt, the breading falls off, a complete disaster of a recipe. Also had the Barbacoa tacos, the driest taco ever assembled, no flavor other than the cilantro pilled on top. The red salsa is colored water, not a solid piece of anything in it. This place is the place to be in this part of town! They always have great drink specials and their food is great! I do think the food is a little pricey when you compare it to other places in the area, but not too bad! Service is great every time! Plenty of bar space, but also family dining as well. There is a separate bar entrance too, so you definitely feel more secluded if you're going with an adults only group. Love that there is a huge lot, so you never have to worry about parking. We had a few apps and green beers (on St. Patty's Day). Hummus plate actually gave you enough pita bread, which no place ever does so I love that. read more

My wife and I went here for a late lunch/early dinner. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon and they weren't extremely busy, but there were several people there having food and drinks. This is maybe our 4th time here and this place just seems to progressively get worse. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad which looked good, but for $17 I was extremely disappointed in the size. I got what would barely be more than a side salad with some chunks of nearly inedible (tough) chicken. $17!!! For freaking lettuce!!! My wife ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and although it looked good, the sandwich was so dry that she couldn't even bite through it and half of the fries were cold. The server was very apologetic and comped the chicken sandwich (also $17). We left a decent tip because the server was great, but sadly we will not be eating here again. read more

I went to Taylor's with a friend for lunch, I had heard many great things about the restaraunt. I would say mostly good things, too. My friend and I sat and talked for about 3 hours catching up since we hadn't seen each other for quite some time. I liked the clubby feel of the decor, We had a great server, who was so nice to put up with us. I had the Cobb salad, and it was delicious. My only problem was finding the entrance. Eventually, a hostess showed up and we were seated. We have given this restaurant several chances and I think tonight was our last time ever going there, which is a shame because we live in the neighborhood behind it. The customer service is very poor. The waitress rarely shows up,every time I order Michelob ultra on tap, they are out. The food is mediocre. They advertise the chocolate chip cookie Alamode for 7.99 and I got charged nine dollars for it.. when I asked the waitress replied " oh we just changed our prices." we could only eat half of the cookie because it was raw in the middle. read more

Our first visit to Taylor's Bar & Table was for lunch on a Friday. We opted to sit at the bar which is very nice - comfy, leather bar stools and upscale, marble bar top. Our server/bartender, Madison, was very friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. We enjoyed all of our food choices: bowl of made in-house chili, house salad, Southwest egg rolls, and Cuban sandwich with mac & cheese side. Everything was really tasty and had nice presentation. The espresso martini made with Baileys is also very good. My only 'nit' is related to undisclosed upcharges: 1) when asked if we'd like cheese and/or onions for the chili, we replied we'd like cheese as well as sour cream, if they have it -- when we got the bill, we were charged $1.50 for the cheese and $0.85 for the sour cream; 2) for the house salad, I asked to hold the cucumbers and to add an egg, which is apparently an upcharge of $1.50. As customers, we would've appreciated just being given the heads up about the extra charges during the ordering process; it likely wouldn't have altered our choices, but it's just a respect/courtesy thing, in my opinion. read more

The host at the front couldn't have been less bothered. Barely looked up at our group or the group in front. Table for 5 with a high chair. ...drops menus and 3 set ups on the table...walks away. We go get a high chair. The server was friendly enough. The margherita pizza was not even close... thick cheese and bruschetta style tomato.. the parm encrusted pot roast sandwich sounded enticing... but there was so little meat on it that my bread was touching on half the sandwhich...and as odd as it sounds, the child with us ordered the spaghetti... was served fettuccini, not spaghetti... it's not the same. We went to Taylor's tonight, group of six for my father's birthday dinner. After scouring the menu I settled on the Indiana staple, the breaded tenderloin. $15.99 served with pretzels. The tenderloin I received was smaller than the bun. This is Indiana for God sake, it was the most pathetic attempt at a tenderloin I've ever seen. I ordered french fries for $3 extra bringing my total to $19 but I just couldn't get over the puny poor excuse for a tenderloin, c'mon you HAVE TO do better.... My wife had the Margarita pizza, she was pleased with it. The rest of the table had wings, the BIG wet burrito and the Parmesan crusted roast beef sandwich. Taylor's charged a friend $21.56 for a TAKE OUT order for an open house. Who does this?? And if you order a pizza to pick up, they charge $2.50 per box. No other restaurant I know of does this. The manager (lady) was rude to my friend and told her if she didn't like it she could order elsewhere. The manager needs to be fired and the owner needs to be made aware of this and they need to stop charging ridiculous amounts for carry out. 3 stars strictly due to the $3 up charge for fries as a "upgrade" side item compared to the awful pretzels that are the standard. Give me a break $3 up-charge?!?! We had the cheese curds as a appetizer, very good. Our dinner was a BBQ pizza which overall is good, but the sauce was heavy and did turn me off a bit when I bit into a strong bite of BBQ sauce. The chicken and other ingredients were good. We also had the Chicken Chipotle Wrap. That's a A+ wrap. Again, disappointed by having to pay $3 to upgrade to fries as my side. They are plain ole fries at that. Nothing special like seasoned or loaded. Get rid of the upgrade then I'll change my rating to 5* read more

First time here and food was good. We had the mesquite chicken, fish and chips, chicken Alfredo, pasta, and southwest chicken salad. Our waitress was impeccable! The reason for 4 stars is because of the sound level during trivia night; the music and bass was SO LOUD! Several tables around us asked for it to be turned down. I went up to the TriviaMaster, he turned down the bass a little and said the treble was turned down too, but it made it hard to have conversation at the little table of 4. I have perfectly fine hearing, but wowzas, that was aweful. I feel bad for anyone with hearing aids that was there. read more

My husband came home last week and he was like "I went on a business meeting at this little hole in the wall place that had a great sirloin special and I wanna take you there!" So I'm thinking country type actual hole in the wall with like country cooking, but nope you guys. This isn't a hole in the wall. Lol. We went for a Saturday lunch date because I wanted to go on an adventure! The service was friendly. I am about my cocktails during dates so I got a long island which is my favorite! They did a great long island. We did an order of potato skins and a small pizza to share. You guys. My husband had the absolute audacity to say that the potato skins at Logan's Roadhouse were better than these and he is dead wrong. I worked at Logan's in Michigan as my side hustle and I'm loyal but nope. These are the best potato skins in the world and Logan's potato skins look like a cold male member in December. Like those shriveled little things could never. Taylors potato skins are elite and I will die on that hill. The pizza. Full disclosure I had already had my entire cocktail when the pizza came and I'm a lightweight so this may have influenced this a tad bit but it was seriously the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life ever. The sauce was slightly sweet for some reason and I was pleasantly surprised. The prices were decent. The place was spotless and it was just such a pleasant afternoon date! Will return! read more

So good when its good, but they are inconsistent. If you eat there you can have them try again or just get a refund (the wait staff have always been friendly & understanding), but (whether it is poorly prepared food or forgotten items/foods) we have been screwed by pickup so many times. The exception would be with their pizza which they have only disappointed us maybe 2-3 times. I wonder if they would issue a refund over the phone the next time they make me regret ordering from them. Oh, yeah, good luck getting a burger cooked any other way than well done and dry. read more

I've left a 5* review before, but tonight we did takeout and it was only worth 3. My husband had the lemon chicken, but they forgot the mashed potatoes. I had the salmon, but they forgot the Asian sauce. My son had a large pepperoni pizza, with 11 pieces of pepperoni and it wasn't quite cooked in the middle. Tried this place for the first time. Nice atmosphere with plenty of TVs playing various games. The menu is large. Plenty of options for apps, sandwiches entrees, etc. I went for the tenderloin sandwich and it was perfectly prepared. I'm somewhat of a connoisseur with tenderloins and they do it right. I did not have a good night at work as I always arrive around 9:30 pm back home and wanted to come in for a beer. I arrived around 9:40 and the bartender said it's last call by the way and I said oh shoot ok do you guys close at 10? (I knew restaurants don't like when people come in late as one of my friends who's in the restaurant business doesn't like it. I get it they don't want to wait around for people.) The bartender said yes we usually don't like them but it's ok we have cleaning to do. I told him I will down the beer before closing. He didn't say anything had his back turned to me then looked at the woman bartender next to him and started talking and smiling like they were talking about it. My husband and I tried Taylor's recently for a date night and we are so glad we did! We went on a Friday evening and even though it was busy, we got seated immediately. They do not take reservations or call ahead just fyi! Our waitress was awesome and very informative about the different food and let us know that they do allow the back room where we were seated, to be rented out for birthday parties and events. We got the pretzel breadsticks with queso and tuna for appetizers, both were delicious!!! My husband got tacos for his main entree and I got the cheeseburger sliders. We were disappointed with our food. The flavor of the tomato bisque was good, but the soup was not hot enough. My husband was asked if he wanted toppings on his chili. He agreed to the cheese. It was $1.50 up-charge. No mention of an up-charge when we ordered. The most disappointing was the sliders. The burger was way overcooked. The lettuce and tomato were all chopped up. How do you put that on a slider? Pretzels for the standard side are a waste in my opinion. The server was very pleasant. read more

DISCLAIMER: REVIEW FROM SATURDAY, MARCH 6th (saved in my drafts but I haven't gotten around to posting it! Whoops!) I'm not usually on this side of town, but I'm glad I discovered Taylor's! At 6:15 on a Saturday, I was pleasantly surprised that my party of three was seated immediately. I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the restaurant: bar on one side, table service on the other, industrial lighting fixtures, posters from famous rock concerts. We were sat in the back area, a little alcove decorated with TVs and wall hangings. The Buffalo chicken dip--or "BCD", my family's acronym for our favorite appetizer--was a little...untraditional. It was more solid shredded chicken and buffalo sauce instead of the better-known creamy "dip" consistency. Not to say that it wasn't good, of course! I really enjoyed this take on "BCD". I wish I could give reviews on a variety of dishes we tried from the entree menu, but we all ordered the same thing! Now onto our dinner: This was a prime rib sandwich done right! The rib roast was sliced thinly and was perfectly juicy, making every bite delectable. The baguette was lightly toasted and made for a nice crisp, and the house au jus was a great addition to an already delicious sandwich. I also enjoyed my house chips, but I recommend Taylor's signature side, the pub pretzels. Our server was fantastic and I really appreciated his friendliness throughout the meal. I definitely need to come back to Taylor's so I can try another delicious option on the menu, and I hope more Yelpers recognize Taylor's for their top-notch food quality and service! read more

Food was typical American bar food, exactly what you're thinking when you want bar food, good selection size and everything was hot and tasty. The beer was cold and tasted great, would come back for just the bar at night, seemed to have great vibes over there with the live music. The food was delicious had the pretzels , ahi tuna, Buffalo dip and chickens wing along with several of her friends. The service was pathetic. My food was okay... nothing special. Reminded me of Applebee's. The cheese sauce was salty. The pretzels were inedible. This was after they were dumped on my lap by the girl bringing out food staining my jeans. The spilled pretzels stayed on the table and the floor the whole meal with no attempt at cleaning by the staff. My partner's French Dip was bland. He said he would have rather went to Arby's. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff was pleasant. Food was sub par for us and Rold Gold pretzels fried and tossed in some seasoning doesn't belong on a plate for $14.99. I thought they would be fresh.
