This dealership installed a faulty oil filter on my car that failed while driving, nearly killed me, and cost me an engine in $65,000 Shelby. How did they make it right? They lied on paperwork and covered up the oil filter, I had to fight with Ford corporate for 2 months, and thwir service manager Art Harding had to feed me a guilt trip aboit his broken family, a kid being raped, and something about a pedophile ring, because that seems lile an appropriate conversation. While cleaning the oil from my car, which took 3 weeks and me holding their hand by the way, they removed my bumper. They then reinstalled it incorrectly, failed to connect my turn signals, and when I told their VP Tom Cochran another dealer was fixing my engine, but if he didn't fix the bumper I would take him to court he told me "bring it on." I had a positive experience leasing a vehicle from Ron Lewis, and even had it in for service and repairs a few times, but when the time came to purchase it at the end of the lease, everything changed. It started months before the lease ended, I tried to get some information from them about my options, but could not get anyone to call me back or answer questions. When the deadline came, I called and asked what I needed to do. Dave, the finance manager said "just come in anytime". So I drove 45 min out to the dealer after work one day, but he could not get the computer to work. This appeared to be a problem with the Ford Website, so I was understanding and agreed to come back another day. Dave said to come back before 5 in case there was another computer problem they could call Ford Support. Nothing else was mentioned, and the same "stop by any time" offer was made. A few days later, I leave work early and drive another 45 minutes out. I call when I am 10 minutes out to make sure that Dave is available. Dave tells me that I should have made an appointment, I need some kind of inspection, and that they can't help me today. I would have to call and make an appointment and drive back again. The inspection is required by PA, but this was never mentioned in any of our conversations before. Additionally, the service department was already closed the previous evening and Dave never mentioned that an inspection would be a problem. With 90 minutes before the service department closed, I asked if they could squeeze me in considering that I drove out there twice. No way. I talked to the general manager, and was given the same attitude. Nothing he could do except make me another appointment. Worst of all, no apologies for my wasted time and money. No apologies for them dropping the ball and lying to me and giving me misinformation. I was traveling for a few weeks, so I asked for Saturday Appointment 3 weeks away. The GM promised he would take care of it. Weeks passed, and the GM never called or e-mailed to confirm an appointment. I had to call the dealers service department, and make my own appointment. I asked, and they confirmed that I was not in the system and no appointment was made for me. The GM promised to do one minor thing, and couldn't even do that. This time, I double-checked my appointment and the availability of someone to assist me and drive back out for a third time. I was half-expecting some sincere apologies, or a personal apology from the GM, but nothing was said. I met with a salesperson, the car was taken to service, and this time Dave got the computer to work. All business, no apologies or offers to help offset my lost time or money. OK, at least I got the car bought. Afterwards, I am standing in the lobby waiting for my car. And waiting. And waiting. I eventually had to steal a chair from someone's desk just to sit down! You'd think that after all of that, they would at least hurry my car through. It took a full two hours to do a end of lease inspection! And I get to sit there listening to the salespeople using all the classic sleazy sales tricks to get an older gentleman into a car he can't afford. Really showed me what kind of dealership they have become. In the end, no one ever apologized or made any offer to compensate me for my time, money or effort. Here's your keys, goodbye. Worst of all, taking the car for state inspection at another Ford Dealership showed that some of the repairs that Ron Lewis claimed to have made in the past were just band-aids. The proper parts were never replaced. Now I have to fight that with my insurance company. If I could give a 0 I would! I bought my car brand new 2022 Kia Forte have been having issues with it not starting. Took it to dealership to be looked at and was told nothing wrong. Was at work came out to a dead battery that was almost 2 months ago. Called dealership got run around and still have yet to get my car in to be looked at. At first I was told I'm 7th on the list, today I'm 3rd on the list. I have never given a bad review but I'm tired of the run around. The salesman has been great I would give him a 5 star, but his hands are tied when it comes to service and the general manager. I had the car looked at and the battery is reading 300 over what battery should be. But for Ron Lewis Fords service dept to do a diagnostic test I have to pay 90.00 for a brand new car. Okay I've told you from the get go there is something with car not starting and now you want to charge me to test the battery. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from them. Service, general manger all nice when your buying it, but if there is a problem absolutely no response and when service did call me today he cut me off multiple times when I was talking. I have a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium. I have the Soft Ceramic leather interior. At about 18,000 miles and about a year and a half of ownership I noticed the finish wearing off the piping on both the seat bottom and back on the door side of the drivers seat. I took it to my dealer, Ron Lewis Ford, Beaver falls, Pa to see about having this taken care of. After going in twice for them to take pictures of not only the seat but the entire car and 3 to 4 weeks of waiting in limbo I got a call from them that said ford had acknowledged it was a defect in the material and was not caused by my abuse. they were sending new seat covers to replace the bad ones. After waiting about a month they came. Took my car to the dealership and was given a loaner. They had car for 4 days before calling me saying it was done. I went to pick it up and was horrified at what they wanted me to accept. There were actual wrinkles in both the seat bottom surface and the seat back. There were puckers in all the bolster sections of the seat. I flat out told them it was totally unacceptable and just left with their car. 3 days later I get a call from service manager. He states they took seat to professional upholsterer and car is now ready. Made the mistake of having wife pick up car at night. When I got home I found there to still be 3 wrinkles in the seat bottom, bolster sections not puckered but not firm at all. You can actually grab the seat bottom cover and pull it upright with your fingers it is so loose fitting. There is a clip for the cover that I found just dangling unhooked when I looked under seat. When sitting in the seat it does not "hug" your butt or back the way it used to and passenger side still does. I went back to dealership, again RON LEWIS FORD, Beaver Falls, Pa and talked to the general manager showing him the problem. It was a Sat. and he said that it was absolutely not acceptable and to let him handle it. He would be in touch with me. After waiting a week to hear from him I called him. He states that after talking to his service manager and a professional upholsterer I need to wait a month for the leather to settle in and there was nothing more he or Ford was going to do for me. I told him I have heard of leather stretching, but never shrinking and as far as I was concerned the repair was totally unacceptable for a warranty repair. the seat is not back in the condition it should be be after being "fixed". I stated if the repair could not be made using new seat covers, Ford needs to send me a new seat. Body Shop--would not recommend, due to a shoddy repair which involved delays and excuses, beyond reasonable. If it were not for Geico guarantee, I would have been stuck with the inadequate repair, since I had already paid Ron Lewis the deductible. I do not understand how this "repair" could even have been presented to me as satisfactory--the bumper was not flush and the part that extended was painted over with paintbrush strokes, very obvious attempted cover up. The most offensive part of this encounter was the dishonest dealings of the manager who stated Ron Lewis would pay for rental costs of a car when they had to re-do the repair; of course, he was cordial in person but reneged on his word. I brought my vehicle here for a recall. They didn't order parts until I brought it in, so it took almost two weeks for them to complete the work on it. I was told they had no loaner cars for me to borrow. Told at first it would be a couple of days, then 3 or 4 days, then ended up taking two weeks in total. Dishonest, sleazy tactics that cost me time and money! I made the salesman well aware when he had a vehicle available like what I was looking for that it would be a 3 hour drive to get there, so he was aware of why I had many specific questions. First, the mileage he told me was off by 10k. I asked about rust and said it was a big concern. He sent me 24 pictures of the truck, even closeups of the tires. You would think an honest person would also send a picture of the obvious rust and amatuer coverup job that was right above the tire. The cab corners were rusting and other rust underneath was obvious by the reflection on the running boards. I didn't bother to check the cross members I had asked about because the misrepresentation of the other stuff was enough for me. When I commented on the rust, he said the cab corners and rockers are good....they are not. No apologies, nothing. I was very clear that if I made the drive, it was to buy. He evaded on an actual price, but stated several times that it was the end of the month, if we made the drive, he promised he would make it worth it. If he misrepresented the obvious, what else would he not tell me about. He said he would not be available until 1:15, so it ended up wasting an entire day. $100 in fuel and something to eat quick on the way home. We spent less than 10 minutes at the dealership. I am fully aware that when buying a used vehicle, they are not perfect, but I was clear in the questions I asked. This dealership has been doing nothing but causing problems since I purchased my truck and had maintenance done in my van. When I purchased my truck the General Manager told me that he would personally come and pick up my vehicle in Greene County everyday if I wanted an oil change and a wash and wax BUT since that day he has been trying to back peddle his way out of the deal and is now refusing to pick up my truck and van. The sad part. I've moved closer to the dealership and they are still refusing to pick up my vehicles. And when they do pick up my vehicles for service they do a terrible job at detailing them and don't put items back when they do the detail. I'm not pleased with the way the dealership has tested me as a customer and I personally wouldn't recommend them to anyone for detail or otherwise. They are joy people of there word and they refuse to uphold things promised to customers. And when they do uphold the promise they try to make it miserable so you won't come back.
