This office is located in a nice neighborhood with easy parking and the floors are clean. The dentist, however, Nourian, drilled the wrong tooth, costing me an extra two weeks time, two weeks pain, and an additional $500 charge. He is unprofessional and failed to do his homework BEFORE drilling in my mouth. After finally installing a tooth that did not meet the gum, under which food got caught every time I ate anything, he told me he would make it up to me, but then went back on his word, and set me up with his partner, a general dentist. His office manager told me he had put an implant in her mouth and when she eats, food gets stuck under her tooth, too. I told her just because she accepts an improperly installed implant doesn't mean I should accept an improperly installed implant, too. Then Nourian hid from me for months. When I approached him in his office and reminded him he had told me he would "make it up to me," he shouted at me "get out of here! You bother me." I kept after his office manager, and he finally set me up with his partner, a friendly competent dentist with a friendly demeanor and personality who told me "I am a general dentist. I know nothing about implants. I don't understand why he set me up with me." I called numerous times to have Nourian correct his error, and every time I called his office manager was either out of the office, out to lunch, gone home, not in today, sick, Christmas, New Year's... every time I called I got a different excuse. Finally months later, she returned my call but did not address the issue. She simply mentioned she had received my message, and was returning my call, but said nothing about correcting the improperly implanted tooth. Finally, a year later, she said the doctor had agreed I should see an implant specialist, send Nourian the bill, and he would pay to correct his less than satisfactory work. I went out of my way to see a specialist and sent Nourian's office manager x-rays, showing the improper placement of the tooth. She replied, saying the doctor would not pay for the full correction, only what I paid them, $2000. When I pursued the matter reminding them this was not a way to "make it up to someone, " I was told they would only pay half, not the full amount. They wanted me to pay for Nourian's incompetent work. I submitted x-rays from a specialist who said the tooth was improperly placed and the gum line should've reached the tooth, but Nourian's reply was, he also had an x-ray. This man is an even worse human being than he is a bad dentist with a false personality, and a horrible chair manner. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN AND THIS OFFICE. He and most of his staff, with the exception of his partner and the office manager, are unfriendly. No one smiles, and even years after Covid, most still wear masks. On a positive note, the office is located in a nice neighborhood, parking is easy, the floors are clean, and Dr. Young seems to be a competent friendly Dentist with a good chair manner. DO NOT GET involved with Nourian, regardless their response to this post or what other posts say. You will regret stepping into his office. read more

We went here for almost a year with only minor issues until my last few visits. I had a tooth extracted and was given prescription pain meds for that. It was a traumatic and painful procedure. Dr Nourian contacted me on the weekend to ask if I needed stronger medicine and if everything was ok. I appreciated the level of care. When I went to get an implant for that tooth, the procedure was similarly traumatic and painful. This time no one reached out and I was told to take ibuprofen. When I contacted dr Nourian and asked for the prescription pain medication he prescribed for the prior procedure, he listed the medications I had been given for severely debilitating back pain. He insinuated the medicine I was given for my back meant I didn't get to have proper pain meds for my teeth. He didn't say bc there could be interference. He said it was his job as a doctor to investigate the medicines I had. As if he hadn't just drilled a hole in my gums the day before. I was only asking for a 2 day supply to get through the initial traumatic two days of the procedure. He implied my request was an abuse of the medicines. He was accusatory and cold. When I asked for more yeast infection medicine for the antibiotics he gave me(when I had asked for a different kind he didn't acknowledge me) he refused to give them to me implying he knew exactly how MY body would react to this medication. I'm an adult and I intend to work WITH medical professionals, not have them dictate what I can and can not do when it's based on their opinion. I was very disappointed, and traumatized by this experience. Will never go back. I won't be treated like a criminal when I'm looking for help. read more

Follow the journey: So, first step, after examination, in the process toward getting my new implants done...getting a couple temporary teeth to fill the space while I wait for the bone graft to heal. Impressions taken last Wednesday, returned Friday for fitting - Perfect! Popped right in place and look great. no adjustments needed. I was referred to Dr.Nourian after being given insane quotes for extraction and implants. The cost is about 50% of westside dentists and the quality of care is superb. Been seeing Dr. Choi for years. Very professional and explains everything to you before, during and after. Its like having play by play on your teeth. Asks permission before doing anything and made sure I was numb before doing anything that might hurt. Office is clean and staff friendly, would and do recommend him to all my friends. I have been taking my 8 year old son here for the past year. Even though he is only 8 he is very comfortable and not afraid to come to the "big kid" dentist. The staff is efficient, Dr. Nourian is professional, kind and honest. Finding a good dentist can difficult and I hope this help others when then receive good quality dental care at a fair cost. My wife had been searching for over a year for a doctor to perform an implant. She started with a doctor that she was not comfortable with and so discontinued seeing him. He only performed the extraction. She got lucky and spotted Dr. Nourian's billboard in Culver City (although his office is in Encino).
