My experience from start to finish with Dr. Ron Noy has been excellent. The staff was extremely helpful with absolutely everything. My initial appointment was scheduled soon after I called the office. Dr. Noy was extremely thorough with his examination of my fully torn ACL and partially torn meniscus. He looked over my MRI and explained to me exactly what had happened with the ligaments in my knee. He answered all the questions that I had concerning my injury and the surgery that was necessary to fix my injury. He explained to me how the surgery would be performed, the exact medications that I would need, the exact dosages and times in which I should take the medicines, and the machines necessary for a quick and proper recovery. A motion machine was dropped off to my home 2 days before the surgery along with a cold therapy unit which helps ice the knee and reduce swelling much better than an ice pack or a bag of peas could. I must add that I saw two other orthopedic surgeons for opinions and a diagnosis before I visited Dr. Noy's office. I should have saved myself the time and went to him first. One of the previous surgeons that I had visited for an opinion was not able to detect that I had damage behind my kneecap to my patellar tendon and that using a section of that ligament to reconstruct my ACL would be damaging to my patellar tendon (basically fix one thing and have an issue with another). Dr. Noy on the other hand, was able to notice that from the MRI and used a cadaver tendon to construct the ACL. The cadaver tendon he used is one of the strongest tendons in the body compared to a hamstring tendon or patellar tendon. I only have 4 tiny incisions on my knee rather than a huge scar that is six inches down my knee. I DID NOT take any narcotics during my entire recovery, just Tylenol and Aleve. His technique allows for minimal pain and quicker recovery. I was up and walking within a week and able to flex my leg 125 degrees within 2.5 weeks. I was up and walking within a week. I recommend Dr. Noy to everyone. You can tell that he enjoys what he does and has a passion for his work. I have never come across a more hands on doctor. read more

I am a 29 yr old female who just ran the 2nd hardest NYC marathon in NYC's history. I finished with flying colors in crazy high wind velocity and extreme cold. I love any combat sport. Although my career is in entertainment, I was asked to train with the cadets at West Point because I love military fighting and any type of challenge (and I'm only 5 ft 1). I turn to sports as my therapy and my "go-to," to meet people and be interactive in life in general. I hit the slopes skiing and on my 2nd run of the AM before 9AM, I fell and ended up having a complete tear of my right ACL. Who knew THIS would become my worst nightmare. I had no idea what I was in for or what I had done. I saw Dr. Noy 2 days later thinking I would be fine- "pain is mental." I cried when I heard the damage I had done and when I found out that I would be needing reconstructive knee surgery. However, Dr. Noy and his staff (Josh, Rosemary and Tom) are AMAZING. They gave me my life back with a new perspective and what I will eventually have... "a Bionic knee!!" I have a cadaver tendon in place of my torn ligament. I had pre-op PT because my initial meeting with Dr. Noy, my knee was too swollen and not ready for operation. Pre-op PT was incredibly helpful. *My surgery was scheduled on 3/24/15 (My skiing accident happened on 2/21/15) I (touch wood!), had never had an injury before- EVER! I really had NO IDEA what I was in for.... I thought I would be living off pain killers and bed ridden. To my surprise I only took 2 Vicodin that night/day leading after surgery. I was walking OUTSIDE without crutches! (however I had my mom nearby) with my brace on. My recovery is a long road ahead I'm realizing, but it will be completely worthwhile at the end of the year! Not to mention, every day I'm growing stronger. Aside from the surgery, Dr. Noy and his staff you will not find any where else in any borough or any where in the world- they are the greatest people. Dr. Noy is the best. I had some complications after a past ACL reconstruction that was limiting my motion and mobility and causing pain. After seeing Dr. Noy, he talked to me about what the problem was, talked me through the options (surgery and no-surgery), and expectations after surgery. I was confident Dr. Noy could help me get over this issue and get me back out there and being an athlete again. He identified my problem after doing x-ray (in the exam room) and MRI in the office (MRI took a couple days to get back from the radiologist). This was a huge luxury, as I didn't need to make another appointment with radiology and wait even longer to have the radiology done. Turns out, nothing was structurally wrong with my knee, I needed to have a cyclops lesion removed that was limiting my range of motion and have my femur notched to allow a little more movement. Dr. Noy not only explained the problem, explained the procedure, took the time to answer all my questions, and even confided in me that he went through the same procedure himself. All that put me at ease and I knew I was in the right hands. Surgery was a breeze. The office takes care of most the pre-surgery paperwork for you, so you need not sit there and fill out every single form again. Surgery was quick, painfree, and I was walking the same day. Absolutely amazing doctor. I'm a professional athlete who has obviously seen many different doctors for knee pain that I was having. Most doctors were treating me as if I was just a number paying their salary and they weren't committed to seeing my full speedy recovery. However, Dr. Noy answered my initial call on his cell phone, and made me an appointment for the following day. I flew into New York and Dr. Noy and his colleagues were very welcoming and pleasant, unlike the UCONN doctors that I saw earlier. My first appointment was for at least an hour where he explained my options and we collectively came up with the best plan. I love how my opinion and input mattered to him. My surgery was scheduled for the following week per my request and on the day of surgery Dr. Noy did great at easing my anxiety. Being that this was my first, and I'm praying LAST major surgery, I didn't know what to expect, especially since I read many negative things online. Well I am 12 weeks post-operation and recovering GREAT. Dr. Noy has been very accommodating and available to all of my requests and needs. Dr. Noy is one of the greatest doctors I ever met. Talking about meetings, I never waited more than 5-7 min. Dr. Noy asked how did i tore my ACL then explained how did it happen by showing it to me with a knee sample. Then he explained carefully (I would say every single thing you need to do) the steps that i'm going through before and after surgery. He also listened and answered my questions carefully. Before the surgery, I got prepared then I met Dr. Noy and he explained to me again what is he going to do and what do I have to do after the surgery. After surgery, I met Dr. Noy again and he reexplained what I have to do the first days and gave me a document has the pictures of what he did during the surgery and the thing i have to do first days after surgery. After two weeks, I met Dr. Noy again and test my knee and approved me to start physiotherapy. He also gave the rehab program that I'm should follow with a Physiotherapist. Dr. Noy, Nice person, knows what he is doing, recommend what is best for you and explain how, when you see him you know he has experience. In the end, I strongly recommend Dr. Noy because he is one of the reasons get me back to play my favourite sport (soccer). read more

After dealing with a year of shoulder pain and 2 previous doctors failing to properly diagnose and fix my issue I went to Dr. Noy desperate for help. When I came in for my initial visit he was very patient and took note of the entire history of my injury. We went over all my previous MRIs in great detail (something both other doctors never did w me). He was very clear in explaining all the different areas that were causing my pain and recommended arthroscopic surgery. After deciding to move forward with the procedure his surgical coordinator Tom was extremely helpful. Dr. Noy performed a subacromial decompression, acromioplasty and repair of a deteriorating SLAP lesion. I am now 2.5 weeks out of procedure and starting physical therapy this afternoon. Excellent care from start to finish. It's hard to express how much it matters when everyone you encounter is friendly and helpful -- especially when you're in pain and need an answer. I ended up having shoulder surgery by Dr. Noy (for adhesive capsulitis) at a surgery center where, again, people were tremendously professional and kind, and focused entirely on me and how I was feeling. They booked a cooling machine for my shoulder to use in the days afterward, along with a "continuous motion" machine that worked the joint for me. The post-op recommendations were clear and helpful, and at my followup appointment Dr. Noy went through the pictures if my joint so I could see what he'd done. Of course I hate that I had to have a painful shoulder and that it needed surgery, but was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the care Dr. Noy and his entire office gave me. read more

I am three weeks now after my ACL reconstraction by DR. Noy. I had the same reconstarction by someone else four years ago that got ruptured. The difference in my recovery and level of pain after Dr.Noy reconstraction is unbelievable. I was "being good" with my leg up and constantly icing to reduce the swelling for a week WITHOUT heavy duty pain medication that makes you nauseous and drowsy. After a week I was walking already WITHOUT crutches, just a brace. At the end of my second week I exchanged my "serious" brace to light Ace Open Patella brace and was walking WITHOUT even limping!!! I begun Phisical Therapy yesterday. I also was given personal email and number of Dr. Noy and a few questions that I had after the surgery always were answered by him on the same day!!! read more

I have been under a lot of pain for a year until I was introduced to Dr. Noy, after talking to him I felt and knew that I was in good hand, and fully trusted him. Dr Noy took the time in explaining what he is going to do during the Surgery, and also cover the steps I will need to take to make sure that I will not experience any pain or discomfort, as well as expediting my recovery.
