I'd never met this man before so It was very rude public and embarrassing. Honestly could have been handled by the reception/staff but it felt like he got off on the moment. It made me feel ashamed and kind of ruined my day, especially when there were other people in the room who just didn't say anything and sat in stunned silence. It feels like he got off on that and they knew it was I appropriate. Really Unpleasant, and unnecessarily stressful experience both times. Must be a miserable place to work. Honestly everyone there seems bummed out to be there. Manhattan Gastro on 44th in midtown is full of really nice people and has a much better vibe. I recommend trying them instead

I had a physical there in June and another visit a couple of weeks ago because I had some additional medical issues. In both of these appointments, the treatment I received from Dr. Chung was awful, and came nowhere near the standard of care one would expect from their primary care physician. Your health and wellbeing are so important - which is why it's so important that you never become a patient of Dr. Chung's. On my first visit, the annual physical, Dr. Chung spent a total of 4 minutes in the room if I'm being generous. After going through the regular PCP motions, he asked me if I had any questions or concerns about my health, of which I had a few and wanted to ask him about. But when I did attempt to ask him about each of these concerns, he rebuffed me, saying he didn't have time to address them and that I would need to make another appointment to address these issues. At probably every doctor's visit I've ever had in my life, the doctor asks if you have any further questions or concerns. Whenever I replied, all of the doctors tried to address my questions and concerns in some way - a little advice, a prescription, a referral, etc. - until this appointment with Dr. Chung. I was stunned, and I still am. So I made a follow-up appointment and had it a few weeks ago, in which I wanted to talk about 4 concerns, 3 of which I put in the notes in the request for the appointment, so that the doctor would know exactly what I was coming in for. Though I won't reveal the exact medical issues, I could've told you before the appointment that what I needed for each of them was a referral to a specialist. When I showed up to that appointment, however, Dr. Chung started the conversation by saying, "There's no way we're going to get through all of these issues. I have time for maybe 2." When I asked why we couldn't get through all the issues, he said that he just didn't have time to get through them all in one appointment. He then told me - again - that another appointment would be needed to address the other 2 issues. So, once Dr. Chung's primary goal had been achieved -- negotiating down the number of my issues he was going to address so that he could force me to have to come back and get to bill for another appointment -- Dr. Chung finally started working on what is the primary goal for every other doctor, but only the secondary goal for him: figuring out the best way to treat my medical problems. Sure enough, when Dr. Chung actually allowed me to speak and tell him about each of these problems, he quickly agreed that each issue had to be addressed with a referral to a specialist. Dr. Chung actually spent almost the entire appointment on his computer searching for the doctors in my plan's network that he refers patients to. In total, he probably spent about 15 minutes with me in the room, but it was spent searching for 3 doctors who his office apparently refers patients to all the time. On the second doctor, whose name Dr. Chung couldn't remember, I started to search myself in order to speed things up so that there would be a chance of addressing more of my issues. I found the doctor he was thinking of on ZocDoc within 30 seconds. So, despite his best efforts, Dr. Chung actually was able to issue 3 referrals instead of just 2. To add icing to the cake, one of the specialists he referred me to has moved and no longer works at the practice, so I will have to get a different referral for that one, too. For the last issue - which I guarantee will simply require a referral to a specialist - I would have to make another appointment - again, not because the medical issues need more time to address than can be fit in a single visit, but because of ineptitude with a basic computer function. Thankfully for me and my health, I will not allow him to pull the same trick again. Dr. Chung provides an unacceptably poor level of care. Whatever you do, don't trust him with your healthcare.

The entire team here are professional and deliver top notch performance. The front desk staff are spot on and just accommodating, the check out experience is accurate and fast paced. The office layout is spacious and immaculate. I can't say enough about Dr. Levy who has treated my mom's aneurysm for 10 years and there is complete trust in his capabilities. All in all a consistently great experience.

We found Dr. Zide very impatient and dismissive…read more He performed surgery on my boyfriend and refused to give him any type of pain meds despite him ALREADY being in severe pain, lacking sleep and could barely walk! He actually said "oh, you'll feel better after surgery!" - I told him not to sign the surgery consent until they addressed his pain, they finally called in a few days of Tylenol 3s which made no sense to me as he was already taking extra strength Tylenol without relief. I get that there's an opioid problem, but when you're in tears and cannot walk from a massive hole in your leg, then you get surgery to have a wound vac installed, don't you think that warrants SOMETHING? Of course the Tylenol 3s didn't provide any relief, we went through several sleepless nights, at his follow up 3 days later, still complained of terrible pain but was told there was nothing they could do. The hole in his leg looks like a shark took a bite out of it and there's a machine attached constantly applying pressure! The hole measures 8cmx6cmx6cm - NOT SMALL!! Again, competent doctor but very impatient and dismissive, cuts you off, horrible bedside manner. He's at least 75 years old (doesn't look it from all the plastic surgery he's gotten), and I really think when you start to be so jaded you treat your patients like that, it's time to retire.

The doctor I wanted to see was not available for 2 and a 1/2 wks so they talked me into booking him. I called to say I would be 5 mins late and was right down the street and they said fine they had a 15 min grace period. When I arrived on 5th Avenue, it was 3:05pm. But they give you the wrong address claiming the office is at 535 5th Avenue when it is actually on 44th street. To make matters much worse, the operator on the phone claimed she didn't know where it was because they use call centers instead of on-site receptionists! So I spent an extra 12 mins walking up 5th Avenue trying to find the office! When I finally arrived at 3:17pm, they claimed I would have to rebook because it was already past the 15 min grace time even though this was their fault. I had passed right by the building at 3:04pm. So I would've been on time had THEY given me the proper entrance information. I ended up sobbing hysterically in the reception area because it was late on a Friday & I did not want to risk being in pain all weekend. No one cared and they did nothing to rectify the situation. When I asked if Iroku could see me for the last 10 mins before his next appointment they claimed he was already with another patient, which made no sense! How could that be if there is a 15-minute grace period? And no one walked in while I was waiting, except his 3:30pm patient, who would've been AFTER me. And what kind of doctor would leave a patient in pain & tears? What kind of good HUMAN BEING would do so? This was a truly awful experience and it is clear to me that these doctors are not spending enough time with their patients. 15 minutes is not enough time to thoroughly vet what is going on with patients, especially not new ones. I wish I had gone with my initial gut and kept researching other doctors instead of letting myself be talked into booking an appointment with this awful man. The only good thing is the cruelty shown to me by this awful place and this doctor means I likely dodged a bullet. Avoid the 535 5th Ave office which is actually on 44th St between Madison and 5th at all costs. Hopefully, the William St office is not as badly run.

Checking in took a bit of time because there was one receptionist but that's nothing out of the ordinary. She was very nice and checked me in with a smile within (8) minutes. I was called within (4) minutes to see the nurse who proceeded to take my vitals and asked me to wait for Dr Grossman. I waited long enough (30 minutes) that I worried I may have been forgotten. When Dr Grossman walked in, all my concerns dissipated. Here was a very pleasant gentleman who immediately put me at ease with a number of questions deriving my social history (without my ever realizing this was the purpose of the questioning as I was instead wondering why he was being so nice to me lol). I think he took an excellent medical history and did a very thorough job of "getting me in the books" as a first time patient. He asked after not only my symptoms - but also my concerns. He performed a physical exam. He was incredibly kind and patient even though I am one of those patients who comes in rarely and has multiple concerns at the same time. He went above and beyond and made sure he addressed everything - advising me on what I can do next time to address further concerns. You might be concerned about wait times but consider it from my perspective: Here's a physician taking his time and performing a thorough examination of you while he's there with you. He's taking the time to listen to all of your concerns - suggesting further testing if necessary - and coming back to wrap things up with you at the end. Total gentleman; Class act; Excellent and highly competent physician. I found it notable that X-Ray facilities are in house - literally just a walk around the hallway. I was in and out of radiology within (6) minutes. It can take 10 minutes just to catch an elevator at a hospital! Again - wood paneling and wooden changing room doors and wooden lockers; purple trim everywhere. They should use NYU wood paneling and purple trim in every corporate office in the country to increase productivity and satisfaction.
