This ice cream shop is on a corner of a street, across from a huge park where you can set up soccer, volleyball, or any other grass sport so it makes for a perfect place to get your snack time in. The ice cream is amazing!!! I'm not from Fishkill so EVER time I visit my family the first place I head to is Ron's Ice Cream. Love the homemade ice cream flavors and there's so many to choose from. Soft serve is delicious. Hard serve is my favorite. I literally go every single day I'm visiting that's how much I love it!!! I can't recommend it enough. Go to Beacon Creamery instead! Ron's door is locked which means you can't even get in to pick up an order. When I called to ask how to get in to place an order, the girl who answered said they only accept phone orders. I asked how to get ice cream and she said to call ahead and then wait for it to be ready, but with a locked door, there's no way to get in to pick it up... Clearly Ron isn't interested in selling ice cream or anything else for that matter. Good luck with that locked door, buddy. Hope it locks for good with an out of business sign out front. read more

I recognize that they are doing their best during COVID. But I do not recommend visiting this place. We always come here but since the COVID they are only allowing ordering ahead, which is completely understandable. However, the staff is very grumpy and difficult to communicate with. We went to bring my 7 year old niece out for some ice cream and they were bothered by us asking for cones and messed up one of our five orders. They were rude over the phone and in person.
