Really good! Get the feeling all their flavors are great. Tastes homemade, full of flavor, not chemicals. They didn't have their famed cookie dough flavor today, so we got their butterfinger and banana pudding. Really enjoyed the butterfinger between the two. Would come back when they have their cookie dough in stock. 5 stars!!!

What a great ice cream place! I stopped in during the Beacon food crawl and met the owner. He told me how he made the ice cream. What a great guy and what an amazing product! I ended up getting the vanilla with chocolate pieces and it was amazing! I also tried the toasted coconut ice cream which was divine! really creamy and delicious ice cream. Different from any other. Loved it!

2 scoops of chocolata (chocolate ice cream with chunks of fudge, brownies, and streaks of fudge throughout!)

Vibe: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Value: 9/10 Banana pudding: 9/10 Chocolata: 9/10 Overall: 9/10 (4.5/5) We absolutely LOVED the chocolata!! Staff and owner are so so nice too. [To clarify our review system: 10 = we'll never have anything else as good as this in our lives (we use 10 very sparingly!) 9 = extraordinary 8 = great 7 = above average 6 = average Anything below 6 is being critical]

    So many delicious flavors

I decided to treat myself for some homemade ice cream the other day. I was in between getting lunch, and then I wanted something sweet to have. I saw a lot of individuals come and stop and get some ice cream as soon as I came in . I decided to give it a try, and I am happy that I stopped. The owner was very nice . I asked him about his ice cream, and he said it was all homemade and made in-house. I was like, wow, that is amazing. He also asked me if this was my first time I said yes , and he said oh you need to try some flavors first. Next time, I am definitely going to get the banana split. If it's still there, he said he rotates all of his flavors. I am hoping it is still there. I can't wait to go back there next time. I would highly recommend going there and checking it out.

    Menu- flavors rotate!

When I saw the sign for homemade ice cream while at the library, we made a beeline for Five Pennies. Dan was very cordial as he shared a bit about making ice cream as well as many delicious samples! Homemade ice cream can't be beat and is worth a special trip. I had the strawberry cheesecake, with the toasted coconut as a close second choice. Flavors are in touch with the season, so we heard about upcoming pumpkin ice cream! I can't wait to return to try more flavors!!

All fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Fresh cones and hot waffles? Sign me UP! Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a Beacon stroll and I'm so happy we found this gem and got to try them! The dark chocolate ice cream has my heart! Vegan and gluten free options available as well. Their concept is shcoops for all: anyone and everyone should be able to have ice cream! So they've made nut free, celiac safe, gf, v and even pup cups! With their pull up window, it's so easy to order, especially if you have a dog! Love this place, the people that work here, the story and the shcoops! Can't wait to be back with my pup.

I sampled a couple of flavors Mango and Strawberry and my pick was Strawberry followed by Mango , as it was more sweeter compared to the Mango which was a bit more tangy . We also tried a few other flavors like chocolate with sprinkles and Honey comb . Honey comb turned out being the most popular among our group. Their single scoops are small but you can get a large triple scoop too. They have an ATM inside the Food Hall for those who need it. Cute cozy dessert joint !

Our favorites are the Warm Brownie Sundae, Banana Split, Strawberry Fields Sundae, and the incredibly creative specialty milkshakes. Their homemade crepes are delicious too, especially if you're sharing dessert. And if you're 21+, you have to try their boozy ice cream creations and frozen cocktails--they're such a fun and unique treat you won't find just anywhere. The portions are generous, everything is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. We love grabbing our desserts and walking along the Hudson River afterward--it's become one of our favorite family traditions. The only downside? They close during the winter! Every year we can't wait for them to reopen because they're truly one of our favorite dessert spots in the Hudson Valley. If you're looking for a unique place to satisfy your sweet tooth in Newburgh, Midnight Ferry is an absolute must-visit. Every visit feels like a little celebration, and we always leave happy--and already planning what we'll order next!

I cant wait for the weather to get warmer so we can seat outside. I wish service was faster for the shakes and icecream, dis kids patience is close to zero. But the bartender is very efficient and makes great drinks. P.s. flimsy tiny tables inside always stress me, I cant shake the idea they will tip over eventually. Need sturdier base and larger surface.
