Lots of folks want self-service; but it puts people out of work, and it's a real problem for older…read morefolks, people with arthritis and so forth. Once they are able to push a state to all-self-service, you won't pay any less (if you even get a discount now). This will not benefit you in any way, and it will hurt you or your community. More people on welfare and public assistance, or more homeless. We pulled up to full-service, and no one came to fill us up, even when we pressed that button. We never had a problem with full service until Oregon allowed self-service. Maybe management is telling staff not to assist people unless they come in to the gas station; or maybe they're just not hiring adequate staff now. Who knows. But the only way to keep these jobs in our community and make sure people who want service, get service, is to refuse to use self-service. This goes for self-checking at stores. Companies make record profits now, and they sure don't return their cost savings to us. Better yet, change the law back.

So definitely somewhere for people that like their coffee to taste more sweet than like coffee! They had a nice little selection of food, from donuts and a yogurt parfait to breakfast burritos and sandwiches. I tried a sausage breakfast sandwich; the sausage and egg were good and they use the super artificial american cheese (that i'm guilty of enjoying specifically on breakfast sandwiches). All that was fine, my problem with the sandwich was the bread. It was like a slider bun that seemed to have been microwaved or something?? I was so confused why this man was asking me for my card and what gas I wanted, but after he explained that he pumps the gas for me, It made sense. He was super friendly and helpful which is what prompted me to write this. That was such a weird, but nice experience. I figured it was an Oregon thing but the next two locations I stopped at, I had to pump the gas myself. So I very confused as to when I'm supposed to let someone pump the gas for me vs. me doing it myself. But overall, great service, cheaper prices than most of the other places I've driven through, and they pump it for you.

In the 16 years I've been filling up here I have only had two incidents where the attendants were…read morerude. Today is as the one that means I will not go back there. I pulled up and noticed they were pretty busy, and started the process of entering in my data into the pump. A short time passed with attendants walking by without assisting me, so I began pumping myself since it appeared they were too busy to help. Once I did that, a young man decided to confront me about it and when I informed him I was trying to be helpful since they appeared busy - he scowled and began behaving like he was angry and became confrontational about the situation. He continued to press the issue with me, and then decided to pull the nozzle and tell me to leave. He then decided he would take a photo of my license plate and then proceeded to tell me to get my "beat up ass truck" out of there, and he was going to make sure I couldn't get gas there again. As I was trying to leave to he continued his harassment from across the station and at that point I took a photo of him which then triggered another employee to get involved and they both continued to attempt to intimidate me with a show of force. I will be sending the photo and this review to whomever operates that station. It's a bummer because I really like a few of the people who work there and have become friendly with them over the years.

I noticed they tried to give anyone with a dog milk bones. Maybe clear it with the owner first. Just like children, they may not want the dogs to have treats. The selection in the store was good. I pulled up and was greeted by an energetic, vibrant young man - I requested $7 cash and he did his job. While pumping my gas he interacted in a personal and sincere way. He was professional and excited to be working at Joe's. He exuded pride and joy to be outside helping me. His name: Max - he's there usually 2-Close but I lucked out this morning as he MADE MY DAY!!
