Had to get my Mustang Mach-E towed into the repair shop so it was essential that we had a flatbed truck. Called AAA & 7:45 AM and was quoted 45 minutes but we got a call from Abel within 5 minutes (no joke!) saying he would be there within 20 minutes! I was having a battery issue with my EV and Abel took the time to disconnect the manifold that concealed my 12V battery and was able to jump start it so we can pull the car onto the truck. The good news is my tow truck driver was very nice and pleasant. The bad news is, I believe, there were a few shortcuts taken, which made me EXTREMELY nervous. When he let down his platform to drive my car up the ramp, he relied solely on my parking brake to hold car on platform. Common sense tells me, there should have been some kind of support Incase my ubrake didn't perform correctly. Second observation is that he put tie- downs over top half of all my tires and cinched tightly. That's good, but that's all he did. I asked him about the 2 metal hooks that go on the undercarriage. He said the hand brake and "park" w straps was sufficient. Well in a perfect world maybe. What if he had to slam on brakes? I've seen plenty of cars and trucks b towed and they ALWAYS use hooks. I called AAA to tell them my experience w Ron's Towing. I did not want to make a formal complaint but asked to speak w Ron's. I explained my situation w dispatcher and told her how uneasy and worried I was. She had an attitude and instead of trying to make me feel less anxiety she said " well our driver is a 20 year veteran. He has towed Lambriginis and Ferraris." I'm sorry, I am not impressed. Maybe my car is not a 500,000 car but it's all I have, and it deserves the same kind of care as any other car. And just as with any other job, the longer a person does it, the more tendency we have to be complacent and cut corners. What a lousy, lousy attitude. Next time I will request a different towing company or at least a different driver. read more

We got our car towed here by CHP around 1am and when we came to claim it, Loretta was very helpful. Victor the tow man really helped us out and explained all of our options and gave us advice. We were able to leave the car here for free since we have full coverage and will have the insurance come out and make a evaluation. ZERO STARS! In all my years I have never had to write a bad review until today. I locked my keys in my car and my insurance agency sent Ron's towing to help me. The gentleman "Rodrigo" who helped me was struggling to unlock my car from the passenger window with his little wire/hook. He was at it for a good 30 min until he decided to grab the keys instead which were in my cup holder. In the process of trying to get my keys through the very little gap of the door my key was broken in half. The gentleman apologized and said he would fix my key. He said he would tell his boss and for me to call the next morning. This place is refusing to talk to me and giving me the run around. So now I am key less and car less. It's such a huge inconvenience. I wasn't even upset when it first happens because I was told it would get taken care of and now I know it was a complete lieThey are very unprofessional and seem to not care about there reputation. The lady that answers the phone is rude and clueless. Waited for an hour an according to them AAA didn't submit a claim for a tow or jumpstart. On top of that they said they Dont have the batterey swap out past 630 pm. I though AAA WAS 24/7. I offer to pay for my tow and the lady started raising her voice saying she doesnt know when they can come out not organized at all. Horrible customer service/dispatch employees! Called at 10:30am was told 45. I waited for a hour called at 11:30 was told they had to do another towing should be there shortly waited again. At this point it had been an hour and a half from the initial phone call so I called back and they said sorry the drivers are really busy with other tows. I asked if it would be better to cancel tow then or if a discount would be applied since it had been so long waiting for them and they said no! If we wanted to wait ANOTHER half an hour for them to get here. This could have been handled very differently. This is the WORST towing company on island. Dont even think about calling them. My AAA used them the first time and they said 10 - 15 minutes. IT was more than 1 hour in the rain waiting for this tow. They had excuses the whole time while texting updates to say be there in 10 more minutes. Now on our 2nd tow that was set up days ago, they were assigned to pick up the car at 7 AM so I was there waiting. Finally 50 minutes later they said they could not get their own tow truck started & would be there in two hours. This is NOT a company this is a joke. I will never use them again. read more

I seldom write reviews about a towing company but the service that I received tonight from the Driver, Mike, was hands down the best experience Ive ever had with AAA or any towing company. He arrived within 15 minutes of my call. He was very efficient and had my car up on the truck and fully tied down within 5 minutes. Mike was extremely efficient. I was on a 400 mile drive heading North to Sacramento from Los Angeles. He literally had me at my final destination within 20 minutes of my arrival had I not even called a tow truck. Mike was also extremely professional, clean and the truck was immaculate. Ive been in many tow trucks in my 28 years with AAA and never before had I received an all around A+ service. read more

I have geico. They called Ron's towing to pick me up. They stated it would be about 30 mins. That was almost 2 hours ago. So I call Ron's towing to see what's taking so long. I get this reply: "I'm sorry. I forgot to dispatch the tow truck. They are on their way." Really? What kind of BS stupidity is that. Your job is to just dispatch a tow truck. I mean, that's where you make your money right? Let's just skip potential income. It's not like the person stranded on the side of the highway has anything better to do on a Tuesday morning.
