I wrote about the importance lace once but I feel the need to do an update. I continue to be impressed with the service and quality of food that I have experienced here. I went for lunch last week and Param Noodle. It was absolutely packed with flavor. The rich creamy peanut sauce made my mouth sing with joy. The flat noodles were cooked perfectly and the chopped peanuts on topped added just the right texture contrast needed for the dish. I added chicken for my protein and the white meat chicken was moist and tender. I was so pleased I went back the next day for lunch with a friend. She order the Pla Rad Prik (spice level 4 peppers), and I ordered the garlic fried rice. She had never been and thoroughly enjoyed the food. This is a place I will continue to visit on a regular basis and introduce to friends. Keep up the great work! read more

This place is a hidden gem in Meriden, CT.! Cute little venue with interesting cosmic ceiling mural and simple modern decor. The staff are friendly and super efficient. The wait time for their amazing dishes is minimal. The food is phenomenal.. good portions, super fresh ingredients perfectly cooked, flavorful and not at all greasy or too salty... and not just a feast for your stomach as the dishes are beautifully plated and are culinary works of art. So I typically get delivery for this restaurant, but I wanted to get soup and I prefer to eat at the restaurant for soup. It's very lovely inside and clean. They no longer have a separate vegetarian section on the menu however, I was able to ask the weight staff which soups could be vegetarian. I was told all of the soups except two of them can be made vegetarian. I asked for mild however this was extremely spicy for me. Next time I will say no spice and ask for the chilies on the side. I thought it was flavorful and very good. I will continue to order takeout or delivery and come again. read more

I first tried Roodle years ago when I ordered the Spicy Chicken Miso Ramen while sick - still one of my favorite choices! Recently I dined-in with my sister and niece. We each had boba drinks, and split Veggie Curry Puffs for an app - not sure what the dip was but it was good. We order take out from here often. There is new management for the past year or so. Online ordering is intense. Everything is customizable but overwhelmingly so. I added on avocado to a dish that probably doesn't usually have it so I received a call asking where I wanted it - on it or on the side. I was like on the side I guess? Ordered green curry fried rice Sunday night and it was so salty I was up all night thirsty. Monday I had the leftovers around 4pm and I had to drink water from 4pm until midnight. I had about 4 bottles of water. I was so thirsty! They must have put a pound of salt in it. Also the dumplings we used to love they don't put the carrots or cilantro on anymore. Last two times I ordered the green curry it wasn't very flavorful. Tasted more like hot milk it's like they forgot an ingredient. Used to love this place but haven't been impressed lately. read more

Great Thai spot! Not many food spots are open that late around here besides bars, fast food and diners. We were lucky to find this place. We showed up at 8:30, it closes at 9:30, they welcomed us kindly. Parking is easy, lots of spots right in front. We sat outside because I had my dog with me. We ordered the Drunken Noodle Beef, #1 spicy. It was still spicy! But delicious, both the meat and noodles cooked very well. The presentation was beautiful. We also ordered the Calamari which was good, not amazing, but the 2 sauces that it came with were very tasty. We will definitely be back again to try some other dishes. One of our favorite spots! The prices here are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant is clean. The coconut shrimp appetizer is great, not too sweet and the sauces it comes with complement the shrimp. I like that they have a separate vegetarian section on their menu. I had the sukiyaki tofu ramen which was really good and super filling. My husband had the pad Thai with shrimp and he said it was one of the best pad Thai dishes he's had. We were on a drive from NJ to MA and I had such a craving for a noodle spot and this one hit the spot! We arrive at 8:30 and I knew they were closing at 9:30, so we were grateful to make it there after reading their great reviews. We started with steamed dumplings-very tasty. I had the Duck noodle soup and it hit the spot! Very flavorful and piping hot with a good portion of duck and substantial noodles and veggies in the bowl. My husband had the Duck Roti and he said it was well made with the right amount of crunchy veggies and duck. Our son had the Pad Kar Pao Gai and Egg and he was expecting a bowl but wound up loving this plated presentation. This will likely be a new go-to stop for our many trips to/from NJ-MA! Was visiting CT & came by here. They were doing indoor dining and were able to seat a party of 6. Really nice/diverse menu. Ended up getting the Spicy Miso Ramen w/ Chicken. I'm really impressed with the quality of the food here at Roodle, which does a very good take on Thai/southeast Asian fusion cuisine. The standout dish for me was the Pad See Ew, which was wonderfully balanced, not oily, although I always want more veggies in this dish. My friend/coworker took me here for lunch for something different from the usual pizza, sushi or Mexican. It's a very unassuming spot in a strip mall. The inside was nicely decorated and most importantly in this hot summer day, had nice cold AC. Everything on the menu looked great, separated by rice dishes, noodles, soup, salad and other entrees. Lots of vegetarian options. It leans towards Thai dishes, but offers other Asian options as well - dumplings, ramen, and Chinese entrees. The service was quick and friendly. We started with the dumpling appetizer which was delicious. My friend ordered the curry duck and I ordered the tiger tear beef. We were both incredibly happy with our dishes and though the portions were generous, we both finished our dishes. I'd give 0 stars if I could~ Ordered meals to pickup (drunken noodle beef and coconut sticky rice) food overall tasted fine and was all in all standard Thai food Fair. Woke up the next morning with the worst case of food poisoning I've ever experienced. I had to call out of work as I was so ill and to the point of running a 102 fever. Finally felt I was on tail end 14 hours later - called restaurant to complain and see if they'd reimburse my purchase or at very least look into it what cause it. Staff was very defensive, saying no one else had called them with complaints, and maybe the "spicy sauce" caused it. Even asked me what my symptoms were (they got the very detailed TMI version‍) too be clear I love spice- and spicy food does not give you the symptoms I had let alone a fever. Overall did not seem to care that the food made me so incredibly sick. They took my number and promised the boss would call me back. Been no word on it for over a day - so I will be reporting to the public health department. Rice based food poisoning is dangerous. Im glad no one with a worse immune system ate what I had as they could have been hospitalized from it. I'll still recovering over 48 hours later. I will never eat here again- and I suggest others don't either. Roll the dice and eat here but if you get sick from the food they don't care. read more

Nice small place. We were really interested several menu items so it was hard to pick. I did see that several reviews said the liked the dumplings so we got that and liked it! I got the garlic chicken with salad. I liked my dish. It wasn't a blown away amazing dish but solid good meal. My DH got the pad kar pao gai & egg. He loves spicy food and thought this wasn't spicy. He said again solid good meal just not amazing. I know we would go back to try other items and would get a good meal. My friends and I came and we each got ramen. I got the spicy miso ramen (has chicken but I added tofu) and it was really good! My friend got the traditional pork and the other got the same thing as me. It was the perfect amount of spice despite have the larger number of chili peppers next to It lol! They have a large menu, it was tough to choose. We plan on coming back and trying something different! And there are always 15% off coupons in the local mailer. My daughter and I are in Wallingford, CT visiting colleges when we stumbled upon Roodle on Yelp. At first, we were skeptical of a Thai restaurant in rural Connecticut that also had ramen noodles, along with an extensive list of other items. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, service, and overall experience eating. We ordered the freshly made dumplings, vegetarian pad Thai, and the steak (with coconut sticky rice). One word..."WOW!!!", amazing food and service!! The dumplings were delicious, the pad Thai was chewy (not mushy) with the appropriate flavor profile that reminded me of Thailand. The steak with the traditional tamarind sauce and coconut sticky rice was fantastic. There are an abundance of Thai restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Roodle will give the best places a run for their money!! Asian fusion restaurants are popping up everywhere and this is one I've actually been interested in trying out for a short while now. When I visited, the interior was decorated for the month of October, Halloween type stuff. Nice touch but in my opinion it added to the visible clutter (there's an open kitchen). It kinda deleted the clean and modern kind of vibe this restaurant originally provided. My wobbly table didn't help the situation. I do like the festivity but maybe a little more subtle would be preferred, completely opinion. As for the appetizers, they fit the cluttered ambiance. We had the Gyoza (steamed pork dumplings) and the Dumplings (pork and shrimp shumai). Gyoza was like every other Gyoza I've ever had and the Dumplings reminded me of low-quality dim sum. But they were still good. My issue was there was too much garnish. I'm the type to actually eat most of the garnishes because it tastes great with the dumplings but there was so much left over garnish. The entire presentation was super cluttered! Never seen so much garnish before. If they're gonna put a lot, they gotta do it right. MY entree was where EVERYTHING lit back up. But not my girl's, that one had an off taste that ruined it. I had the Beef Noodle Soup and it was excellent. Broth was light, noodles were perfect, and the beef was extremely tender. It was a little pricey for $13.95 but at least this was quality. I enjoyed it, I'd get it again. But my girlfriend ordered the Roodle Pork w/Brown Sauce & Egg. It looked alright, pork was shredded, egg was cooked beautifully, and the vegetables were good. But there was a strange aftertaste. Textures were good, everything seemed alright but that aftertaste just made it seem off. Made it seem like something was wrong. I had a lackluster experience, I've been eyeing this place for months. Cluttered appearance, cluttered apps, only half the entrees were good, wobbly table, service was meh, it was just lacking everywhere. 3-Stars because I can imagine this place being at least a little more visually appealing w/o the added decorations. I bet that strange aftertaste was just a one time thing, and I really liked my entree but it was pricey for the amount I got. My husband suggested Roodle because he works down the street and heard good things. We went in around 6:30 on a Saturday night and were greeted and seated right away. We began with a fried scallion pancake that came with a delicious dipping sauce. I loved it but he thought it tasted like veggies. I ordered Pineapple Chicken fried rice and it came out first and was STEAMING hot. I continued to eat my app while it cooled down. He ordered Pad Kar Pao Gai and Egg which also came out nice and hot. The balance of the two meals were superb. My pineapple rice was fresh and sweet while his Pad Kar Pao Gai and Egg was also fresh but contrasted nicely with heat that was just spicy enough. We ended the meal with Fried Ice Cream. I can't believe it was the first time I had ever had it. I was impressed. This casual restaurant was one we will visit again. "Crystal wasn't Drunk" My friend Crystal wasn't drunk, but she was all a buzz as she described how much she loves the Drunken Noodles and Ramen at Roodle. She expressed her love so much for Roodle that I had to go there and taste one of their dishes for myself. I had the Beef Drunken Noodles and the dish was very good. Flat wide noodles similar to papardella with beef, basil leaves, bell peppers, carrot, egg, and onions in a spicy chili garlic sauce. The only thing that wasn't appetizing was the solid clump of noodles in the middle. I should be able to pull each individual noodle separately. I couldn't pull one ribbon of pasta at a time and that bothered me. Other than that, everything was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try the Ramen. read more
