Okay guys, I have read the other reviews, but here is the real skinny on this guy Alex at Roof Claim Express or Palmer Contracting. First of all, you will not get what you expect. This guy is simply from a different world. He certainly isn't in mine. I'll be plain. I have never experienced the kind of treatment that I got from this company. And I can assure you that it was 100% the fault of Alex the owner. I still can't believe that I was treated this way. It has been over a year now, and I can just now talk about it. Here is what happened. When I first called Alex, he actually answered his phone, and did so immediately. I expected about 17 rings and then a recorded message, and then I might get a return call in a week or so, if then. And when I had to follow up with Alex or leave a message, he always responded very promptly, no exceptions. He always did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and he did it well. He called me regularly to give me an update on the process. Are you kidding me--who else does this? This guy is weird. The name of the game: Integrity. This guy has it. I had a tree fall on my house, and the insurance adjuster figured replacing about a third of my roof. I asked Alex for a bid on the repairs, but also asked for the price of a whole new roof. In the meantime, Alex worked with my insurance adjuster to get me every possible nickel. He knows all the insurance lingo and so this was a big help. He can really help you here, if you need it. Alex agreed to the adjuster's estimate, so no problem there. Alex gave me a fair price on an entire new roof so I decided to replace my entire roof. It was a good decision. Alex made the whole process a pleasant experience, actually. Hard to believe, since I was paying 2/3 of the over-all cost out of my own pocket. Look folks, I hate hiring anyone to do anything, and avoid it at all cost, because most of the time they are undependable and never do what you pay for. Not the case here. So if you want to hire the other guys who may or may not get the job done, and done right, who may or may not show up on time, usually several hours late and they never call you, and they leave the job site in a mess, or want half of the job cost up front, then don't hire Alex. Take my word for it, there are some really crappy contractors out there. I was in the claims business for 41 years and I have seen some really bad ones. Alex isn't one of them. Oh, there is one thing that he wasn't totally honest about however. He told me the job would take two days to complete, but it actually took only one day. I got a better roof, installed better than the original roof, completed timely, and the clean-up was immaculate. Folks, Alex might seem a little unusual to you, maybe even a little weird. But like I said, it was all about Integrity, and this guy has it. Now let's see.... who else down through history had this kind of integrity.....I think he actually lost his life over it. I am an analytic professional. I am impressed with Palmer Contracting and Roof Claim Express's A plus rating from Better Business Bureau(AAA) when I selected the contractors for my roof job. However, I was still a little skeptical . Alex and Phil have been trying their best to explain the roof problems, and the details of how they are going to replace the new roof. For instance, what are the step flashing, counter flashing, felt weight, ice and water guard; Why are they important to the roof job? I believe that Alex and Phil did an excellent job in explaining these very important details in the layman's words. So I can fully understand. In additional, Alex and Phil are very knowledgeable in gutter , soffit, and the siding of your home. They explained how to protect the gutter and many others in the process of the roof replacement. As a result, Alex and Phil's professional and their listening to your concerns gained my full confident and trust to their company: Palmer Contracting and Roof Claim Express, the way to go to your roof jobs. Now I have my confident and trust to say, I Can count on Palmer contracting to analyze roof problems and give professional advice and competitive pricing for correction. This is important because roof problemscan compound and are not usually apparent to the homeowner. There are three different roofing contractors including Palmer contracting offered me the proposals to my roof replacement jobs. from the selection of the roof contractors, I finally realized that the Palmer Contracting is the contractor you can count on, the palmer contracting sales person and the their project manager are the professionals who always listen to you and put your roof project on your priority. I received their advertising fliers listing the roof jobs they have done in our neighborhood. After getting all positive feedbacks from my neighbors, I didn't even bother to find another roof company to compare. I will never regret my decision. Alex worked effectively with me from the beginning inspection to the roof replaced! He is very knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and helpful! I'm an alien and this is my first house, I kept asking stupid questions but alex always answer more than I asked! He works diligently, I can reach him almost every hour. His details oriented working attitude impressed me a lot! The price is reasonable, and most importantly I love his work! I don't have comparison, but I highly recommend them. They offer free inspection so there is no harm for you to know if anything is wrong for your roof before it leaking. read more

I met with Alex to attempt to find where the roof was leaking into my top floor ceiling. There were four different stains on the ceilings in different rooms. Instead of selling me a whole new roof, or even a massive roof repair, he did a complete roof inspection and attic inspection, and he showed me how it was my air conditioning unit in the attic that was causing the problem. When I asked him who I could trust to fix it, he gave me the name of the company that does the AC in his own home. Totally nice, totally competent, totally trustworthy, and no charge for the visit! I've had 2 roofs put on by this company (different houses), as well as seen work they've completed for people I've referred them to. So far, it has all looked great. Also, a few years after my most recent roof I had some unrelated damage and needed some replacement shingles. Alex was quick to respond and get me matching shingles to fix my roof. I truly don't know how the process could have gone any better. The owner worked with the Insurance Adjuster to get a maximum claim. When that was done, his crew came out and completed the work in one day!
